Giving extra one star because this place was close from my work. I've been a long time customer of Total Men's Primary Care. I will now stop using this clinic because of the Nurse Practitioner at Tech Ridge location. (FYI, there's no MD in this location) I am pretty sure there aren't a lot of patients who will lie about their symptoms. Because I had congested nose for long time, this led to some complications like abnormal blood counts due to lack of oxygen (confirmed by specialist), fatigue, and hard time focusing due to lacking in daily sleep. My heart and some parts of body muscle started aching, so I told him all the area that I am aching. It looked like the NP was caring and listening. However, he walked in with Anxiety Questionnaires. The questions were definitely trap questions. One example: - Do you feel lacking in motivation and focusing at work? (I answered yes). No shit, because I feel tired everyday due to lacking of sleep caused by chronic congested nose. There were many questions like this and I answered yes to all of them. I specifically told them my chronic nose problem before answering the questions, but they said it's okay to fill those out. NP then walked in and referred me to a psychiatrist.... Next, I told him the questions were misleading and I didn't put detailed accurate answers, so I wanted the paper back. He rejected my request and scanned the paper without my consent, which is now officially up under my name. Whoever reading this, I just hope you all don't fall for this, unless you really want to fill out those questions. read more

The check in was fast and easy. The receptionist wasn't very welcoming. I took my test at 8:20 and didn't get results until 1pm even though it's a rapid test. I called cust serv around 10am to see if there was something wrong. She said I was negative and she'd call the location to send me my results. I kept checking in to see if they had gotten anything. Every time they said I'd get my results shortly. Finally at 1pm I got my results. read more

Like all the other Total Men's locations, this is not the exception... all of them suck big time. Worst service ever and couldn't care less about the patients. Sadly I just sent an email to my amazing mental health provider to thank her and saying goodbye cause I will never go to another of their locations again. They should just close all those clinics. read more

I think Ryan W's review is spot on. A trainer referred me to this place to fix a health condition I have. I went to the office with lab results IN-HAND. They took a blood draw and charged me $150 for the same test. Administration at this place is a nightmare. I had a referral to them from my PCP; they made me change my PCP to them, completely messing up my coordination of care. Now, they are referring me to someone else in their group for some "additional clearances." Aka, paying more co-pays and insurance billing. Simply put, they put you in a doctor loop: they'll keep you coming into their group of PAs (not doctors) to keep the sweet insurance cash flow coming in. It HONESTLY feels like when you buy a car and they make you sit while the salesman "asks his manager." I am avoiding this place at all costs. Frankly, a simple rx of a non-controlled substance they spent 20 minutes selling me on (not getting the shots) shouldn't require hoops, ESPECIALLY from a place like this. read more

To be clear, this review is for the TECH RIDGE location only. The S. Lamar location is absolutely stellar. And worth the 30 minute drive even though i live 2 miles from Tech Ridge. I'll spare y'all the excruciating interactions with the front desk and the gross lack of communication from the second I set foot in the place. What I will share is my bizarre encounter with the psychotic, incompetent Adjoa Ofori-Abebresse. Long story short-nobody there follows up with anything. You just call, call again (they frequently don't answer) and message through your portal. My bloodwork was in. I call. I message Adjoa "Hey my bloodwork is in, What do I do next?" Her response was "your bloodwork is in your portal" and that I should look it over. (I'm paraphrasing but that's the gist). I sent the following message: Addressed To: Ofori-Abebresse,Adjoa I was told that THE DOCTOR HAS TO GO OVER MY RESULTS Well she went ballistic. Told me that I was yelling at her even though I clearly said "Maam, nobody's yelling at anyone. I was simply emphasizing the fact that I am not a doctor and need a medical professional to go over the labs-as we discussed." She said "go somewhere else" and hung up in my face. Stay away. Go to another location, trust me. Props to the blood guy though! Smoothest blood draw of my life. So kudos to him...Hopefully he can transfer out of that circus. read more

I work in a medical office and have continued going to work throughout COVID. I had a scare with COVID and was able to be seen by Total Men's Tech Ridge. The appointment was extremely easy to book. I was also able to text over a copy of my insurance card to verify coverage prior to going into my appointment. The staff is extremely friendly and although the COVID test was extremely uncomfortable (obviously not their fault), I could not recommend them enough. I went in today for my first physical since COVID started, but have been going here for annual physicals and primary care for the past three years or so and have always had a good experience. The doctors and PAs are professional and knowledgeable, the staff is friendly, and the office is very clean. Plus they have free snacks and beverages in the waiting room. read more

Then when I arrive at the clinic the lady at the front desk said I would be unable to be seen. It seems that who ever answered the phone and front desk people do not communicate to each other. Also receptionist was rude and unprofessional. She was smirking at me as she told me I would be able to be seen. This was the worst experience I've ever had here. I spent three months off of T after discussing it with my doctor. No bills were sent, no services were performed, there were no updates on my online account. When I came back, they wanted me to pay the monthly fee for those three months. I protested, but they explained that it was 'like a gym,' and that although you can ask to cancel a subscription over the phone or in person, it's not actually entered in the system until you follow up in a letter, in writing. They lost me at 'it's like a gym.' I expect better from a medical center. read more

These people are running an insurance scam, they simply will not talk to you about anything on your first appointment, and are looking to set up multiple appointments for multiple different issues to increase the amount they can bill. Wasting your time to gain money from insurance companies is their only goal. read more

Update: 12/08/22 I went in today to have my provider sign off on my tb clearance... I have never had an issue at this location these last 3 and a half years... But today I encountered a minor issue with the receptionist that assisted me today on 12/8/22 around 12pm when I arrived. Hispanic looking female only one at the reception are. As I walked in and I said "hi" she responded to me in a passive aggressive rude manner "One moment please I'm with a pt!" Literally cut me off. I was caught off guard bc for one the pt she was helping was sitting down and talking to him from across the counter idk why she was doing all that, she then told him to come to the front where they both begin to talk about Christmas and idk what, delaying my time as I was on lunch break when I arrived. The conversation carried on for about 10mins I was already annoyed at the fact that she came off unprofessional when I walked in and delaying my time ercked me... When they finish the convo about Christmas she then said "how can I help you" I explained to her the NP who signed off my clearance today told me I can come in and can sign off, she then again passive aggressively in a rude tone said "let me see if she is with a pt first" point is the minute I walked in she looked and sounded bothered as if she did not want to be there, or I inconvenienced her. her vibes and energy were easily picked up. I get you maybe having not so much of a good day but can u plz be more mindful about the pts you take care of and how you talk to them? If you do not like your job you have options you can leave? It was easy to see she was not in the best of mood. I know total Mens will side with their employees but thought I'd share my experience today. For this reason this location lost 2 stars and back to 3.... Would she have caught me in a bad day I would have cussed her out. I went to Total Men's clinic at Tech Ridge. I was able to easily make a next day appointment through their website. Clinic is very nice, clean, and modern. I was very impressed with the professionalism of all the medical technicians. I would highly recommend this clinic to anybody. read more

Do NOT consider this place if you are seeking to be treated with any form of deceny. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted rudely. The lady at the front desk was extremely unpleasant throughout checking in. It only got worse as we were being brought back. Every encounter with each staff member was shockingly uncompassionate and inconsiderate. As we got into the exam room, I was immediately asked to leave my husband and wait in the lobby upon the providers request because it was too crowded for her...when I would have been able to provide more accurate health information for one..and two, the room definitely could have accommadated me. When I asked the provider to be part of his care, I was disregarded and given an attitude about being part of my own hisbands plan of care?? What if i had questions or concerns?? I was denied even the ability to call and listen in. I knew right then this was not the kind of treatment ANYONE deserves to have and left immediately. I have never encountered a Healthcare place that would not want family to be part of a patient's care unless it was Covid or for other valid reasons. We left immediately and will never return to any Total Men's again and will be sharing our terrible experience with friends and family. Please go elsewhere for compassionate care or if you want to be part of your family's care...as you have every right to. read more

The only reason for a 5 star review is for the efficient COVID 19 test i literally spent only 5 minutes tops in there for the test. Lady at the front desk was very rude and angry with me for being late to my test, didn't really understand that and the only reason I stayed is because I really needed the test to return to work. read more

My husband goes here for his primary care and has had an excellent experience and care. I recently went for a rapid COVID test and was in and out in under 30 mins with results. They are easy to book online for an appointment and stays on time! read more

They charged me 70 dollars for a 30 second teledoc appointment with insurance. Ian did not ask me what prescription I was calling about, was in a rush to get off the phone, wrote a prescription for the wrong drug, charged me, labeled my appointment as "cancelled" and then never sent anything to my pharmacy in spite of telling me it will be there in a few hours. Just go to the one by the domain, they are at least competent there. read more

I can firm with the other reviewers. When you make a apointment they say you will be seeing a Doctor. That is not true. You will be seeing a nurse. Still trying to figure out why the cost to see them is still the same for a Doctor and a Nurse. So I can't say I had a particularly _bad_ experience here, but I can say I didn't have a particularly _good_ one here either. A few weeks back I had taken a COVID-19 antibody test and antigen test. Antibodies were negative, antigen positive (meaning I had been diagnosed with coronavirus). I got a sheet of paper with my results, and asked if I had any questions and that's all. I of course was in shock and anxious so I asked nothing and left...but when the dust settled I had many questions and it was next to impossible to get a hold of anyone at this office. I am sure they are trying their best, and this is the worst of times to be in a healthcare profession...but I think that they could possibly give a bit more information when it comes to a positive test...be it just a pamphlet, or kinda a brief low down on what to expect/do. I left there knowing nothing and had to do my own research and talk with a member of the health department to find answers to my questions. I went back for two subsequent antibody tests, 1 approximately 10 days after my positive test, and another 21 days after my positive test--both turned up negative to which the person giving me my results (who was on the phone and took a brief pause to tell me) either the original antigen test was a false positive or it hadn't been long enough to produce antibodies. There are a lot of unknowns with COVID-19...I understand that, and I'm sure they're busy....but it seemed like there was a lack of information there and lack of proper care that surpassed ignorance and volume that they could address, but I do not think that the 4 experiences I had there merit additional visits. For sheer convenience unrelated to coronavirus...I'm sure they're great, but I would recommend getting tested for coronavirus elsewhere. read more
