I am honestly heartbroken and furious about how I was treated during this visit. After waiting for so long, I stepped out of the room to ask the front desk a simple question because I had an online class I needed to get to. As I was leaving, I saw Dr. Gray walking toward my room. He said he was about to come in, but he already seemed upset and flustered and from the moment he spoke, I could tell something was off. He didn't ask what was going on or why I had stepped out. He didn't give me even a moment to explain how I was feeling. He asked two rushed questions, barely listened to my answers, and shut me down when I tried to speak. He looked in my ears and then told me, with no empathy at all, 'There's nothing we can do. You can call ENT and Google exercises at home.' It felt dismissive, cold, and completely unprofessional. What hurt me the most is that my blood pressure was extremely high dangerously high and he treated it like it didn't matter. I know I have to be responsible for my health, but he is a doctor. Why choose a profession centered on caring for people if you are unwilling to actually care? I was not rude, not difficult, not disrespectful, yet I was treated like an inconvenience. I could have walked out of that clinic in a medical crisis, and he didn't seem to care at all. As I was leaving, he said, 'Your blood pressure is a little high, try not to stress,' and then chuckled. That moment broke me. I felt small, dismissed, and completely uncared for. I work incredibly hard. I'm in school finishing a master's program in clinical mental health. I am not illiterate, I am not unreasonable I was simply asking for help with my health. And Dr. David C. Gray absolutely failed me today. I left feeling angry, sad, and scared. First time seeing a doctor here and she was awful and unprofessional. She didn't greet me when she abruptly came in the room. When I asked for two additional lab tests to be added to my lab order she started to make snide remarks about the doctor office not being a McDonald's and that I would have to interpret my own lab results. As she left the room she rudely threw my lab order in my face. ARC needs to do better because this was unacceptable. read more

This clinic and ARC as a whole has made me lose all faith in healthcare. I will never go to another doctor again. You don't believe in the Hippocratic Oath. Anytime I've come to this clinic, the staff is dismissive and doesn't listen. They ask why you've come in, and don't write notes for the doctor. The doctor asks why you've come in and dismisses your issues as non issues. This has happened to me for a variety of issues over 5+ years. If I could find a reliable PCP I would never come here. 0/10 never recommending this clinic or any ARC clinic to anyone ever. read more

Arc is a horrible place to do business with. I called about paying a bill. I was on hold for 25 minutes. This shows a total disrespect from my time. I strongly recommend the owner called their own billing department and see how they like that experience This is to the owner hire some more people to Billing and stop wasting my time or I'll be forced to find another business to do business with To potential new clients this business is too big and cumbersome to deal with unless you don't value your time. Pros: + online / Great online portal (MyChart) that allows centralized communication and records. Super helpful for families who need to keep kid records handy. + locations / Good physical location network throughout Austin. Nothing super fancy but easily accessible. + continuity / They're not going anywhere. I've seen smaller practices open/close in Austin. ARC is large enough and has been around a while. Cons: (no surprises) The healthcare system* is frustrating. Whether it's, - scheduling / scheduling an appointment when there aren't enough healthcare professionals to meet demand, or - billing / understanding provider billing, insurance coverage or patient payment obligations, or - coordinating care / coordinating your care between ARC, separate hospitals and separate specialists who may not communicate flawlessly. * The above three cons are present with any care provider. ARC offers a lot of benefits but you're still in the U.S. healthcare system which comes with plusses & minuses. On a personal side, my interactions with all staff have been positive. It's clear there's an overwhelming demand and resources are limited. Staff has been much more patient/helpful than I would probably be in their position. read more

My appointment was scheduled out 6 months in advance. The day of my appointment I received multiple texts/emails asking me to confirm and to provide my ID for records. All was provided and I showed up 45 minutes early to my appointment. I checked in with the front desk and proceeded to fill out additional forms. 30 minutes AFTER my appointment time, I decided to ask the staff what my ETA looked like for getting seen. I was then told that my provider was out of the office and that I would have to reschedule my visit. This was the most unprofessional and inefficient doctors office I've ever been to. After speaking with me for less than 5 minutes, DR. SANCHEZ recorded that I had an " unhealthy dependancy" on the anxiety medication I have been prescribed for 14 years! After a decade and a half, obviously my *body* IS somewhat dependent.... as I have granmal seizures with abrupt discontinuation of said medication.... That being said, the "Dr" wasnt even willing to put me on a taper. I have suffered 3 seizures in the month since hes seen me. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR. read more

as a new patient, i made an appointment with arc. it was given to me for next 4 months. i waited 4 months and 2 days before my appointment, i received a call from arc and i was told that the doctor is out of town and they need to reschedule me. i said that is ok give me another appointment. they said the soonest time they have available it will be 3 months later. i got mad and i told them your doctor is taking vacation not me and i need to get my blood pressure pills which i am completely out. so they give me an appointment for 2 days later to see practitioner nurse to just refill my medicine. so i saw the practitioner nurse and she just walked in saw my emptey bottle of my medication and sent refill to local h.e.b and one of the nurses got my blood for blood test. i had and insurance and 2 months later i received a bill for 685 dollers which the insurance was robbed $469 and arc wants me to pay 216 dollars. it is a highway robbery and customer service is awful and runs by theives. it is a shame that insurance paid them $469 and still wants me to pay $216. the system is wrong and this should be stopped. shame on them. when you call them to resolve the issue, you have to spend 3 hours on phone and they do not care and they send it to colection. i do not understand why they charge me $55 for blood test and more than $600 for doctor visit which was never done and just got refill from my previous doctor. read more

I love the doctors in this location. They are very caring and professional. My biggest problem is with the other staff here - the front desk and the nurses. They are not at all friendly and behave like they are the greatest gifts to humanity. I've been to this location numerous times and this has been my experience every single time. Let me preface this by saying I love ARC overall. I've been a patient for the last few years in South Austin, Kyle, and Buda. Each campus in the south has been nothing short of caring and attentive, which is why I'm giving 3 stars because I still strongly love ARC. That being said, ARC Pflugerville is not like the others. I went in for my annual checkup along with checking on a minor issue I was having. Gabrielle Gonzales, FNP was my provider and assured me that she would follow up with me the same day regarding my labs on the pressing issue. Here's where the problems begin because up to that point, the actual appointment with Gonzales was nothing short of awesome. She was engaging and attentive and considered things holistically. Once I had my lab order, I went to the front desk to request to get them done (they're in the same office). I waited for 45 minutes watching about 10 people get called in and out for labs before finally speaking up. I then watched the girl at the front desk rush back with my ticket slip to the lab. So did she forget or something?? I was pretty upset to wait so long for a stick and go. It took another 10 minutes before I was finally called back. The labs itself went fine and the staff was nice. My 2nd issue has been follow up. Gabrielle Gonzales told me she would personally reach out to me same day regarding my labs for my issue that was more time sensitive. That was Monday, by Wednesday I was concerned I hadn't heard from her so I sent a message through MyChart. I got a message from a nurse saying she was out of office that day but would contact me the next day. It's Thursday and I am waiting... and waiting... and waiting... At 1:30, I finally call the office. I speak to a girl at the front desk and she transfers me to the nurses' line, where you guessed it, I wait again... for 40 minutes on the phone. I finally have a nurse answer to tell me that she wasn't sure why I haven't gotten a call and can she call me back? So yup, I'm still waiting... by 4:15, I'm at the end of my rope with the volleying back and forth, so I call again. I speak to the girl at the desk again and explain that my issue is something that is an immediate issue and that Gonzales told me she would follow up same days... 3 days ago. She puts me on hold and finally transfers me to a nurse again who gives me my results. The doctors and staff are good in person, but expect no personal accountability or follow up, and expect to wait and wait and wait... Again, I have loved my experience with ARC and will continue to be a patient, just not at the Pflugerville location. read more

This ARC location is not the one I typically go to. However, I wanted to get in as soon as possible to see Dr. Zipin. I read the location reviews and was a little nervous, but I took a leap of faith to get the care I needed. I received friendly service and excellent care at the front desk and in the exam room. Waited 45 minutes for a virtual visit with Dr. Sanchez only to have him say I needed to have an in-office visit to get the blood work I need done. I told him I've been trying but it's a 1-2 month wait so I got a virtual visit instead. He just said "wait 2 months". He (and this clinic) have been extremely unhelpful, lack intrapersonal skills, and empathy. I'm not paying for an appointment that didn't provide the services I needed. read more

She really listens and just makes you feel very comfortable as a patient no matter what the reason is that your seeing her for. I normally go to the ARC at Anderson. This was one of the very few times i have to go to the Pflugerville location.. and each time I have an appointment here, I have the same experience. The front desk receptionists are not friendly but worse - they are not helpful. My appt was scheduled for 130pm today to see a nurse for my vaccine shots and i waited over 50 mins and no one even called me in. I see people who came before and after me come and go and I am still sitting here waiting yo be called. I approached the front desks several times to get their attention. Each time they told me they have paged the nurse and i am still not called. It is now approaching the one hour mark. I think I am just going to leave. This is ridiculous. They are not helpful and have not acknowledged my presence or even apologize for their tardiness. I am appalled by their unprofessionalism. When I asked to speak to the office manager ahe just told me we are short staff and the staff was at lunch... That is so unprofessional.! So, they're eating lunch on your expense. Our time means nothing to them! I cant believe that even the office manager did not even apologize. She just made excuses that they are short staff and staff was at lunch. Then why do you schedule people during your lunch time? People's time are just as important as yours!! Horrible place I am never coming back to this location if I can help it. Horrible!! Good luck getting a doctor or a nurse to even look you in the eye. These medical "professionals" don't care what's wrong with you. They want you to visit. And visit again. And visit again. While they take shots in the dark and continue to rack up the bill. It's also a good idea to schedule your appointment at least one hour earlier than you actually need to be somewhere else after, because there is no chance in hell that you're going to be seen any time near your actual appointment time. The best part about their "after hours" clinic, is that they'll act like they're going to help you, take your number, then call you back later to tell you that you need to come in for yet ANOTHER visit. These guys must make a killing on office visit fees alone. These "doctors" are washed up or wannabes, but not quality physicians. If you need anything other than a prescription for allergy meds, I highly suggest you find another clinic or another practice. read more

Disgusting facility in every sense of the word. We scheduled an appointment for my wife to get a flu shot and her vaccinations updated prior to her immigration physical. Mind you, we just scheduled vaccinations. The physical is handled by special immigration approved doctors. When we arrived for our appointment, they told us, "we don't do anything related to immigration." I asked, "what difference does it make why she needs the vaccinations? We're ARC patients and she needs vaccinations; that's that." They kept stating, "we don't do anything related to immigration." I finally said, "fine, whatever, my wife needs vaccinations for school." They stood there with a stupid look on their face trying to figure out a way out and finally capitulated because a shot is a shot and they didn't have a leg to stand on for denying treatment. Having proven my point and won, however, we left to get the vaccinations elsewhere. We've had great experience with the pediatricians at Quarry Lake and the clinic at Far West. But the Pflugerville strip mall facility is a blight on the ARC brand and my family's medical dollars will be going elsewhere. Steer clear. read more

Dr. Ven Huizen is the best there is. Anytime that I need to see a physician I try my best to make sure it's her. She is kind, caring and knowledgeable which leads me to feel that her expertise tops most. I have been visiting this location when needed for a long time. Even living outside of pflugerville, I still come back because I trust ARC Pflugerville and have received better service and care here then any other office. read more

Had my yearly physical in Sept. No one called me with bloodwork results. I assumed no news is good news. Ended up in ER with problems that could have been prevented had there been communication. Tried to schedule a follow up from ER and they said they couldnt get me in for 2 weeks, despite ER's advice to follow up next day...HBP issues, very high... contacted nurse via email who was more concerned with the DR's days off than my health. These people are horrible and are not concerned with their patients health. My insurance company pays enough money for them to call me with pertinent info regarding my blood work. Complete negligence on their part, drs', nurses, all staff members, even appointment setters are awful. DO NOT GO TO ARC or Dr Merlin Abraham. read more

This is the first time I write a review about a Dr service, I know many times the patients can be diagnosed incorrectly by a mistake, I understand we're humans, but this time my daughter's life was in risk, this is what it happened... She started to be sick in the morning of Thursday March 12th 2015, with some rash in the body, stomachache and vomiting, I called ARC Pediatrics (at Pflugerville, TX) facility, and got an appointment with Dr Sigh, she reviewed her and gave a diagnosis of a "virus", she only prescribed Benadryl for the rash and a tender diet for the vomiting. That night, the rash got worse as well as the vomiting; I called the Dr. office and the nurse just told me that sometimes the viruses act on that way and it could be normal, no more follow up was done on my daughters health that night. That was the worst night we could ever have, because the rash and itchy was getting worse and spreading out in all her body, vomiting every 2 hours, then I called the Dr. office first thing in the morning and scheduled another appointment with the first available doctor, she was Dr. Holliman; she reviewed my daughter and just said it was an "urticaria" for an "unknown" reason and requested some blood samples to see what could be causing the problem, she never asked what she ate the day before and never put attention to the vomiting I was talking about, she just added an Hydrocortisone cream and said continue taking just Benadryl. The things were getting worse every hour and I had to take her to an ER in the evening, because the stomachache and the rash were very bad, she had to stay there for 3 days, until she got better. BTW, the real diagnosis was food poisoning, besides she was highly dehydrated. The doctors said that fortunately I took her on time, otherwise it could have been deadly. I definitely won't be back to that facility ever and don't recommend it at all!!!! At least not going with Dr. Anna Elizabeth Holliman. read more

The online scheduling was great and same-day, but then I received a call from Vi saying I needed a referral. Which I know with by insurance plan I do not. But she wouldn't listen so I was transferred to the referral department, where I sat on hold for a while. Once a person came on the line she confirmed that I don't need a referral. She wondered why I was told I did. Anyway, not a big deal, I just went to my appointment. I then couldn't get in the door and it's tinted to where you can't see through ... so a bit awkward as I waited. Then, an abrupt girl opened the door and was not pleasant at all. She rattled off the standard Covid screening questions and when I asked her about one she asked about she had no idea what she had just said. It's like she memorized the lines and didn't really know what she was asking. She argued with me a bit. She was not nice. I tried to smile/laugh it off and smooth it over, but she then started at me about the referral. This is when I realized it was the same person from the call earlier, Vi. She really needs some attitude adjusting, if you're going to work a front desk, greeting position, you need to be friendly, at least a little. She was not in the least. I'm never returning to this ARC location again. First and last here on Kelly Lame. read more

Have to write a review for this clinic, as we were very happy with their semi-emergency care. My son had what we thought was a burn, but on Memorial Day he woke up to it looking far worse and more painful. After much searching for a clinic that was open (we are new to the area), we found this clinic open. Granted it was Memorial Day and we were the only ones there, so I can't comment on wait time. However, Dr. Cavanaugh and his staff were professional, caring and very good at being gentle yet business like with my 5-yr-old. 'Yes, this will hurt but only for a minute and your finger will feel much better afterward.' He had to get a nasty numbing shot in his hand then a really deep clean of his wounded finger. They made my son feel like brave and tough. The front desk gal was sweet, efficient by bringing in the paperwork while we were waiting for 'surgery' in the room and explaining payment options (we didn't have health insurance at the time). Nurses were kind, Dr. was great, and we will be back. read more

We chose this clinic as the check up place for our new baby-not the smartest decision, I know. However there was no designated pediatrician within an acceptable distance that was available on short notice. The place itself is old and dingy; the location in a strip mall is not very encouraging. When we first walked in I noticed that roughly half of the front desk staff weren't very friendly. I guess that is to be expected in a clinic that sees literally everyone and their mama. Our appointment was a day after we got home with the newborn so we were bleary eyed and utterly confused. As first time parents we didn't even pack a diaper bag and I was also in pain after a C section... When the nurse took us in she seemed very stern and didn't smile a single time. I didn't care much at the time and assumed she was having a bad day. It was stressful enough to follow the instructions and undress my crying baby under her disapproving look. Doctor Lopez almost fixed our dangerously skewed first impression as she is young, friendly and knows what she's doing. She also is a Mom, which surely makes her more trustworthy to clueless parents like us. However we visited another time and encountered the same stern nurse/medical assistant. I do not particularly care whether people smile at me or not but most people tend to be a tad nicer around kids or babies. This lady remains real; she does not fake smiles or coos for anyone. We decided to get ARC another shot and switched to the new location on Kelly Lane. The difference is like day and night! This location is new and bright and is stand alone, as opposed to being inside a strip mall. The front desk staff seem friendly and the doctors and nurses have been a delight so far. At this point I have been to the Pflugerville location twice and the Kelly Lane twice as well. My impressions have been consistent both times at each location. Hopefully the initial unfriendliness at ARC PF does not scare people away from (possibly) great care. read more

Dr Sanchez is new to this clinic and is very thorough. Usually see Dr Abraham is a wonderful Dr bhowever, she wasn't available when I had to reschedule. I've been going to this location for a couple of years now with Dr. Madabhushi. She's been great for simple, routine illnesses. However, I've been dealing with some trickier stuff recently, and it's been a bit frustrating. It started off when after more than a week, no one had called me back about some blood work that I had done. When I got a nurse on the phone, she said that the doctor wanted me to go in to discuss something that had come back as abnormal (not news to me because this was something I already knew about because it's a preexisting problem). I made an appointment to go back, as per doctor request. DURING the appointment, the doctor asked me questions to things ALREADY in my chart (what are your medications, did we already do ___ test?, have we checked you for ___?)- which made no sense because she had just seen me 1.5 weeks prior!!! After asking me things that she already had the answers to (if she had bothered to check my medical records before calling me in), she said that she would be referring me out to a specialist and to expect the referral letter in the mail in a week. What a waste of my time and can't believe they billed my insurance for: 1) a condition that we've discussed before, 2) asking me questions to things they already had answers to, to only 3) send me a referral that would come via snail mail. This should have been done over the phone... Neither the doctor nor I got any new information from that appointment. To top it all off, we never discussed my other concerns, and the doctor was somewhat dismissive of them. She recommended that I should get another physical done... I don't understand what a physical would show that she couldn't do right there during the appointment. Didn't make any sense. I'll be looking for another primary care physician. I just love Dr Ven Huizen as my primary, we talk like we have known each other for years. She is very knowledgeable and looks out for me medically. She is very thorough and very straight forward. Hi, Took our 4 yr old son for Wellness check up. His preschool wanted a vision and audiology ok certificate. To our surprise a nurse did a primary test and told us that he was deaf in his left ear and recommended us to go to an audiologist for further discussions on the same. Couldn get an audiologist appointment for next two days. spent two sleepless nights only to find out that there was nothing wrong with his ear at all. The audiologist said his hearing was excellent and he is surprised they had issued such a report previously. What a shame. Guess something was wrong with their instrument. read more

Thanks to the incompetent staff who couldn't recognize a common condition and wouldn't listen to me (I'm sorry but I know my body better than a doctor who only sees me once or twice a year), I now have an $8000 ER bill. The office is "circling the wagons" to make the doctor almost untouchable and I have now lost weeks of time dealing with this. It's too bad Dr. Cavanaugh is in this office because I hear raves about him. Sadly, even with him, you have to deal with the rude office staff. Stay away!!!! I went in for feeling terrible and after discussing that my vitamin levels were low a year ago Dr. Hart said he would "figure it out" and came across very nurturing, boy i was wrong. Instead of reviewing my chart from previous years and running another test on extremely low vitamin levels, i found out he ran several other labs(which was ok) but did not check what i had suggested. Also ran ekg...So i went in for a follow up visit and discussed i needed my certian levels checked since i had ZERO follow up whatsoever and still felt "off". After my labs were rechecked I found out my levels(that should have been checked at first visit) were "SURPRISE,SUPRISE" low! No follow up except for a note on mychart. And was billed for two office visits and all kinds of random charges. Spoke with billing department and they said they cannot remove the extra charges since they were correct.Even the clerk/scheduler lady said "they should have just billed you for the exta lab and not another office visit". After my case and my explanations...they removed the unfair extra office visit charge(150.00) but for some evil reason Dr. HART told his nurse.."I'll remove the charge but from here on out i don't want him as a patient anymore"(and no i didn't raise heck like i could've)... This smoke and mirror "nice guy" is a twisted doctor! I saw him twice thinking i might have a new family doctor, but i was belittled and taken advantage of. 400.00+ bill. This is whats wrong with healthcare...unfair or shall i say corrupt doctors. Follow up visit at another doctor i found out my vitamin levels were so low that i was nearly admitted into the e.r!!! There cannot be enough great things to be said about Dr Cavanagh!!! We were previously a patient at the Cedar Park Office but found Dr C by accident when we were seen in Afterhrs clinic. My son was seen there for initially what was a fever and thought to be respiratory distress. Long story short, it was extreme pain from pharyngitis. While in afterhrs, Dr C explained all his thoughts and diagnoses in "English" all the while never rushing us out until my son was OK. He monitored us in afterhrs for over an hr. We were then sent home with a few prescription's, guidelines to return and well wishes. 4 days later, he still wasnt any better, so, we tried to get back into my sons pedi, to no avail. So, who better to follow up with Dr C. Again, he spoke English, even though I'm a nurse, and showed genuine care and compassion. I had made an off the wall recommendation for a lab, and in agreement, suggested we try it. Most MDS would have looked at me like I had two heads... What 18mo old gets mono?!?! He never looked at me that way and, who was right? MAMA! From that point on, he was our "man"! He has been incredible ever since... Dr C is HUMOROUS, up to date, patient, playfull, and compassionate. This place is ridiculous!! I called and made an appt and whoever made the appt made it for the day I called so when I arrived for the scheduled appt a week later nothing was scheduled so I'm out of work for an afternoon and the soonest they can get me is 2 hrs later when I have to pick up my child from school smh this office needs better training on customer scheduling I didn't realize I would have to call a drs office the day before an confirm my own appt. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Van Heusen and coming to this location for about 5 years now and with every appointment it tends to get worse. Because of the lack of attentiveness and follow-through, I do not recommend going to this location. Dr. Van haizen is nice however, after being asked to fulfill and complete a regiment, the prescription was not even sent off to a pharmacy until 5 days later and that concerns me. I do not feel that my well being was made important and a priority to you. I understand there are plenty of patients who you serve, but when seeing me, I want to know and TRUST that I'm in the right hands. I do not trust that I am. After not having the prescriptions sent off, I emailed the Dr. Through mychart to see that I only had half of what we talked about sent off to the Pharmacy. The next day, I called and waited on hold for 25 mins for someone to tell me they will email her (the same thing I did). I dont understand why it took so long for it to be sent and why it was not sent when I was told it would be. Again, nice Dr. But not someone who I trust after this. I will be looking elsewhere for Primary Care. read more

We Love Dr. Enders!!!! She is great with the girls. She is a good listener, excellent attention to detail. Extremely knowledgeable. Takes her time with each girl so they get the special attention needed. Great communicator. Easy to understand. The nurses are awesome! The girls have a great time with them. The front desk is always helpful and friendly. The entire office is friendly and helpful. read more
