We are writing this review to commend Dr. George Fisher at Brandon…read more Eye Associates. Barbara and I have been treated by Dr. Fisher for several years and I have always been impressed by and profited by the breadth and depth of his knowledge and expertise. Our perceptions were reinforced as a result of Barbara's visit several weeks ago as she reported a problem with increased floaters after a fall resulting in a blow to the forehead. However, Dr. Fisher's professional knowledge and experience became very evident as his diagnosis reflected that she had suffered a complicated retinal injury. He immediately recommended that Barbara needed to go the the emergency room at the Tampa General Hospital's Eye Institute. It is important to note the the professional staff at Eye Institute were impressed and commented on the depth land accuracy of Dr, Fishers diagnostic report. We appreciate the skills, knowledge, and involvement of the professional staff at the Eye Institute. However, we feel that Dr. Fisher's involvement, professional knowledge and expertise and prompt referral to the Eye Institute was one of the factors in her recovery from this medical issue. More than words can ever begin to express -- THANK YOU DR. FISHER!!! Barbara and Adrian P

i didnt know what to expect during this visit, and they started to test my eyes. I have a brain…read moretumor and made them aware, but was forced to take this test and stare into a light. after about 2 mins, i was on the floor in my new white coat, crying in pain from the test. 4 nurses came in and told me to get up and finish the test. I clearly told them many times, "No - i can not complete these test. i deny services, call my daughter to come pick me up asap. I could not see, i could not drive, and i could not stand. " 4 separate nurses bullied me to get up and finish against my wishes. I physically could not. after about 30 mins, the doctor never came to check on me. My eyes were blurry enough for me to stumble out on my own and wait in the parking lot for my family to rescue me. after repeated requests for help, NO ONE there helped me with anything, and i was billed in full. My medical report says, "No issue found. Eyes are perfect." i cant understand how this can be. i would never lay on the floor in heels and a white fur coat!?!? GO ANYWHERE ELSE. THEY ARE NOT IN THE BUSINESS OF HELPING SICK PEOPLE, ONLY TAKING MONEY.

He is very thorough, willing to take the time to explain everything, and even went the extra mile to resolve an obstructed tear duct that he noticed during surgery followup (it would usually be your ophthalmologist that would do that.

The customer service and professionalism makes any quality of care inconsequential. My wife and I…read moremade appointments months in advance, then drove for 20 hours to make it to town for our appointments only to be woken up early the day before our appointments telling us that they were rescheduling our appointments. When we called to ask about this change, we were told that we were required to have referrals to see the doctor we had appointments to see. A doctor we'd been seeing since 2017. And a doctor who we were apparently able to see when we made the appointments. So, if they're unable make and keep appointments properly, and are unable to respect the patients' time, I'm unable to patronize them and if I won't patronize them I'm unable to recommend them to anyone else.

Although the vitreous begins as a thick substance with a firm shape, the consistency of the gel changes and becomes thinner and more watery as we age. A change in the shape of the vitreous can cause it to pull away from the retina and leave a tear. Procedure - Blepharoplasty on both eyes: I think Dr. Munger…read moreis a nice guy, but he totally missed an abscess in the suture line of my right eye for over 5 weeks post op. I had multiple 4-6 follow-ups for the same issue in my right eye for swelling, sore redness, constant tearing, etc. He only told me it was just healing and nothing to worry about. On the final week before being admitted to St. Joe's ER then hospital I had two separate interactions with him, in-office and by phone, showing photos of my eye swollen shut. He still said it looks good, still healing. The next morning I was admitted to the hospital with a major eye infection for 4 days and almost lost my eye. To add insult to injury, Dr. Munger undercut my right eyelid so it does not close now. I have been taping my eye shut since 4/18/26 and it continues today. The short eyelid will require more surgery soon, but not by Munger. There are many other blepharoplasty doctors out there who actually care about patients. STAY AWAY

We waited for 2.5 hours for Dr. Munger. We have seen many, many doctors in the last 6 months…read morebecause admittedly, my husband's condition is complex. However, Dr. Munger did his exam and then pretty much brushed us off after the long wait and I had to pin him down and ask specifically what he found, what the diagnosis was, what the treatment options are, etc. He was just going to walk out. He seemed bothered by the questions. He sent my husband for special prism glasses and a field vision text. Never bothered to call with the results and that was over 3 weeks ago and we confirmed today, from the optometrist who prescribed the glasses, that he reviewed and entered a note of "non-specific changes", which tells her, and us, nothing. From the insane wait, to the poor bedside manner, to the lack of follow through, I'd recommend finding another specialist.
