I looked online and read the little ads that come in the junk mail, but I didn't know how to trust someone with something so private. Johnny was recommended to me by a client of his who currently does a lot of business with him. This gave me the trust factor I was looking for. Contacting Johnny and making an appointment is easy. He offers a private office setting. located in a professional business area in McKinney, and the space is open and inviting. Definitely ask how long you should expect to visit -- he takes his time with you -- we were there for 3 hours. Time well spent! There is no pressure to do anything. He will make you an offer (in writing) and you can take it, or think about it. He's respectful of your feelings (for me this was very emotional), he's very knowledgeable in many areas and he will explain what does and doesn't have value and why. He's friendly, kind, and professional. After this experience, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you, Johnny, you are the best!

Solid place. Fair premiums. No BS…read more I walked in with $450 to spend on silver. Told them straight up what I had. They did the math, gave me options, and let me choose. Ended up with mostly 1 oz rounds and a couple smaller pieces. Easy process. The transaction was smooth and honest. They actually talk to you and make you feel welcome, not rushed or pressured. If you're new to silver and gold, they explain things without talking down to you. Sometimes the lines are long but that only proves that these guy are exceptionally awesome . I called other coin shops before going here. One wanted $8 premium on rounds and $10 on Silver Eagles -- straight ripoff. These guys were a lot more fair and resealable. I asked them their premiums up front and they told me straight up $1.50 on rounds and $3.50 to $4.50 on Silver Eagles cant remember. At the time, silver spot was around $80-$81. And change. Even though this place isn't the closest to my house, I'll drive out of my way to come here. Worth it. Good experience, good people, fair prices. I'll be back. I'm just hoping silver drops down cheaper. So I can stack more Thank u QuickDraw.

Quick Draw Rare Coins is exactly the kind of small business I love to support. They've been around…read morefor over 40 years, and when you walk in you can tell why--they care about their craft and their customers. They've got a cool selection of coins from all over, but I actually came in for a different reason: a watch that had been gifted to me needed a new battery and some adjustments. I usually wear an Apple Watch, so having a "real" watch fit properly was a little foreign to me. Johnny walked me through it and even after I thought it fit well, he suggested one more adjustment. Sure enough, when he brought it back, it fit like a glove. That kind of extra attention and expertise is something you don't always get elsewhere, and I really appreciated it. On top of that, he took the time to check the watch and noticed the gasket had been pinched by the last person who changed the battery. He went ahead and replaced it, which gave me peace of mind knowing the watch was properly protected. That's the kind of detail that separates a true professional from someone who's just rushing through the work. They use high-quality parts and Swiss batteries, and it shows. Even better, they actually came in lower than their original quote--always a pleasant surprise, and definitely better than the other way around. One of the main reasons I chose them was their quick response to my questions on Yelp, along with pricing that was more reasonable than some other places I reached out to. That responsiveness plus the personal service sealed the deal for me. And just to add--Johnny and Angela (the owners) are genuinely good people. Friendly, professional, and clearly proud of their business. Plus, they had a cute little puppy in the store, which, as a dog guy, just made the experience even better. Bottom line: if you need help with a watch repair, battery replacement, or anything coin-related, this is the spot. Great people, great service, fair prices. I'll absolutely be back the next time I need a watch taken care of.

I chose Ehrhart's to have my engagement ring custom made with diamonds that were given to me by my…read morefuture mother-in-law because I had been a customer since moving to Denton in 2001. I expected to receive a quality ring and good communication throughout the process. I wanted to work with people I could trust with a ring I would wear for the rest of my life. Based on what I was told, I expected to have my ring within about eight weeks. Instead, I repeatedly found myself reaching out for updates rather than receiving proactive communication. When I finally received the ring after months of delays, the color of the white gold was not what I expected and was later confirmed by multiple independent jewelers to be outside their expectations for a ring of that age. What should have been an exciting experience became a lengthy and frustrating process. Timeline: Aug 22 Discussed the design in person and sent inspiration photos. Sept 5 Received first sketch. Sept 10 Approved design and left my ring/stones for CAD measurements. Sept 26 1:13 texted for an update. At 3:39 received the CAD rendering and approved it. Oct 1 Received a text that the wax model was ready. Oct 2 Tried on and approved the wax model. Oct 21 Received a text, "Hi, I have the 3D model of your ring. Please swing by and take a look at it. As soon as you approve it we can order your ring." This was the same model I approved on October 2. I pointed this out, I was told, "I was on vacation last week. I forgot. But yes, we ordered your ring on the 2nd." Nov 11 Called for an update. (9 weeks after design approval.) Nov 25 Called again. I was told the ring was delayed in customs. This was the first time I learned it was being made overseas. Dec 10 Emailed requesting the manufacturer, production location, and tracking information. Annette called but did not provide that information, instead citing customs and the government shutdown. (14 weeks after approval.) Dec 12 Received some additional information but still not the manufacturer or tracking details I requested. I was also told the Oct. 21 text meant the ring was already in production, despite asking me to approve a model I had already approved weeks earlier. Jan 5 Emailed again requesting an estimated completion date plus location and customs information. Jan 7 Received a call and email that the ring was ready. Jan 8 Picked up the ring. (18 weeks after approval.) March Noticed the white gold had become much more yellow than expected after only a few months. April Two independent jewelers confirmed the color was not what they would expect. May 5 Returned to the store. Ashley agreed the color was not expected and offered complimentary polishing and rhodium plating, estimating one day. May 9 Called for an update. At 11:04 I was told another project had delayed mine. At 1:32 I was called that it was ready, but I couldn't arrive before closing. May 11 Picked it up and immediately noticed it still wasn't as white as expected. Ashley and another employee agreed. Photos were sent to the maker. I was told they could remake the ring or replace the shank in-house. June 4 Called for an update. I was told there was no response from the manufacturer and that Annette would replace the shank in-house and "take the loss." June 15 Visited Nasr Brothers for an unrelated reason. Peter immediately commented that the color was not what he would expect for a recently rhodium-plated ring. We had it remade in platinum for about the same cost. I was quoted three weeks; it was finished in 17 days and exceeded my expectations in craftsmanship and appearance.
