This place was a key point of my life in turning that around. What I lacked in confidence, fitness, and just about everything, this place started building in me from the ground up. My mother bought me a karate membership and it went from there. Not only is this place an amazing place to learn Karate, Kung Fu, Jiu Jitsu, Kick Boxing, Womens Self Defense or Kendo now, but it's a great place to build self esteem. TRULY build it. Not from people telling you you CAN do something, but they will build you to the point that you DO do it. On top of all of the martial arts they also have a gym, which, while it doesn't have everything that a building dedicated to being just a gym has, it has more enough to help you achieve your goals. I came here for only 2 and a half years, and in that time they built my confidence, my body form, and my skills as a martial artist. If you're looking for a place to learn a martial art, I will HIGHLY recommend this place. They have different teaching methods than other Dojo's I've seen around and staff who truly care about what their teaching. To everybody working here, this isn't a job for them, it's a passion.

Curt and his staff are great with kids. My daughter showed an interest in martial arts after getting hooked to power rangers. We scheduled a birthday with Samurai after looking at other schools with extremely over priced birthday packages and or needing to be a member first. Not only did they welcome our birthday they went above and beyond. I would like to review the birthday and membership separately Birthday - First they offered to dress one of the employees as a power ranger for us, which was great. They advertised a large pizza but actually ordered a Sheet, the set up was great and everything was planned out perfectly and the kids did not become disorderly because they were constantly being engaged with 1 of the 3 Sensei's on hand. I highly recommend anyone looking to do a Karate Birthday to pick Samurai Martial Arts. Membership - From the birthday we got a special Boards and Belts class, At the class my daughter was able to demo a full blown session and break a board with the other white belts, shes a quick learner and loved it. We signed her up for a 1 month promotion which was fairly priced, included the Gi, instruction handbook and unlimited classes for the first month. My daughter took that month and ran with it, we are now in our second month and since she used almost every available while class has already gotten her 3rd yellow stripe. We loved it so much that we signed her up to the 3 year Masters Club, which is a lot like the original promotion but it gave her an extra uniform, patches and unlimited classes. Shes only 6 years old but has shown such initiative and likes to attend all 4 classes each week instead of the recommended 3. Again I cannot say enough good things about this Dojo, not only do they focus on Isshin Ryu Karate, but they also have Wing Chung, Pilates, Kickboxing Cardio and even a Gym with treadmills (All that is missing is a pool and you have the total package) Thanks Samurai for helping our daughter reach her true potential -Sal

Raymond showed me I know nothing. He has a no-nonsense way of training using real-life scenarios as well as demonstrates amazing skill and teaching ability. Even though it is a group class Raymond makes sure he spends time with each student working on his or her skillset. From day one they made us feel safe after we saw all the safety precautions in place for the safety of students. All equipment is clean and ready to use. The training facility is very clean and organized. There is lots of new equipment available for each student at no cost. I would recommend them to all my friends, male, female or even children. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and got us situated with a 10 day trial and my friends with rental gi's. We were then greeted by the head coach John Ingallina who is the embodiment of a professional. He is extremely welcoming, kind, professional, and explained the whole Gracie Combatives system to us. During class he was great at explaining the techniques being taught, and made good work of going to each person and ensuring they did it right. As an out of towner I was completely welcomed by the staff and other class members. I 100% would recommend this, and have done so to my 2 friends who I am very close to.

There was a bathroom as part of the pavilion, it is on the outside of the building, and it is open to the public. Which was nice having a bathroom so close. The bathrooms were spotless. I did get a bit of a surprise when I tried to hang my purse and found a pair of female panties hung there instead. Haha! I jumped, acting like they were going to jump out and grab me. So, yah, that happened. Probably someone changing into their bathing suit left it. You can see the water from the pavilion, or walk out to it. The landscaping was beautifully done, parts were immaculate, and some parts weee sanded for having fun, park like setting to play frisbee, horse shoes, Bocce ball. Etc.... You do not have to rent a pavilion, you can just go, and use the grounds. We paid 9.00 to get in. I think that's a per car fee. We don't live in the county, so Idk if that fee is for residence of the county or just non residents. Maybe something to check on before you go. They had grills there, a little fence around part of the pavilion, with picnic tables. Everything was set up very nicely. I have no idea how the pavilion rentals work, or how much they cost. But it was a beautiful spot. Trees, pathways, water, what more could you ask for. It seems quite large, and others were there as well enjoying the day like us. It is a joyful place, and everyone just enjoyed themselves, and respected each other. Very joyful, peaceful family place.

There was one family there with kids playing in the sand and water. I did find a little bit of glass. Stopped on my way out to use the restroom and it was pretty disgusting. I guess no one had cleaned it yet from the weekend. I'm talking poop on toilet seats, in the sinks, etc. kind of disgusting. I then drove to area 5 and began my search here. There were 2 families here playing in the sand and water. Again, I found a little bit of glass and a few interesting pieces of rocks. If you're wanting to look for sea glass, make sure you look at the tidal charts first. Looking at low tide is optimal. Also, make sure you take a trash bag to haul your trash out with you. There are no trash cans, and there will likely be some litter on the beach.

There are wooded trails as well as fields and a service road to drive or ride down that are truly beautiful and really make you happy that you have a horse to share the experience with. The barn itself is always immaculate, I have a really hard time even reading the other reviews because I've been here for almost 2 years and it has honestly been the nicest barn I've ever been in and I used to attend one of the most well-known equestrian colleges in New York State and the level of cleanliness and care that Debbie and Greg work towards for their own place equals that. They treat me and my horse incredibly well. He is a mini and they accommodated him greatly when we first arrived by adding to their fencing and building him a door that he can see out of, and regularly ask if I am happy with his weight as they are knowledgeable enough to know that these guys can have weight issues pretty easily. They are quick to answer any questions and always make sure to greet with a smile. I always feel welcome here. I feel like they truly care about my horse and I deeply appreciate that. The stalls always have fresh shavings, clean buckets, and are cleaned regularly. The barn aisle is always clean, the wash stall is always ready to be used, with a well lit overhead light, water, and vacuum ready, and the tack room is always welcoming and tidy. The stalls are 12x12 so they are actually nice for larger horses and pretty graciously sized for ponies, and is practically a condo for my mini. It is quiet and enjoyable for me because a lot of places don't know how to handle a mini, let alone a mini that drives -- so I also have to mention that it is incredibly easy to store my cart there and they also have very handy lockers to put other equipment in. I really can't say enough about this place as it is really a place I wish I could have as my own and I've never had to worry about my horse, I always know he's in good hands.
