Great service, highly recommend! Extremely friendly, easygoing, hardworking and professional! We had a very large move, a lot of packing, heavy furniture, fragile items, and items that needed to get disassembled and reassembled, everything went really smoothly and we couldn't be more pleased! They provided the truck and did all of the packing and labor, which allowed us to focus on other things. I wanted to give this guy a chance because he was highly recommended by people close to me. However, we were scammed out of a deposit of $1197.49. Isaiah who is the owner. Came to our home to give us a quote, walk us through the process of how the move was going to go. Took pictures of all of our belongings and let us know his team would be there next day at 7:30am. As the evening progressed and into the next morning, the time changed from 730 to 9 or 9:30 AM. Come 9 o'clock. I still hadn't heard anything then the time changed again to maybe noon. At this point we needed to be moving out. So I asked him to just please refund my deposit and we would make other arrangements. After along periods of no response we were able to secure a different moving company which I will give five stars to for coming in last minute to pick up Willie Jay's screwup. I gave him all weekend to refund my deposit. I asked nicely several times, and still no response. I do not recommend you use this company. SCAMMER!!! read more

He was incredibly attentive to us prior the move checking on our progress 3 times in person (!) and being on hand during the entire move, advising and being all round awesome during the whole experience. I absolutely hate writing bad reviews but unfortunately, the one-star review above is deserved. I was referred to Willie Jay's Moving by neighbors who liked their services. I called and obtained a quote based on the contents and square footage of my current home. After looking over the quote, I asked that he (Isaiah) utilize the higher quoted hours because we have a full library of books. We agreed on the price, date, time and I paid the $200 deposit. As we approached moving day I encountered a snag on my end and needed to change the date. I contacted Isaiah and adjusted the contract accordingly without issue. We agreed on the new date, same price and I thought we were all set. The big day arrives and 4 movers show up with a 26 foot truck but tell me there is no safe place for them to park. I indicate that most trucks park right outside the garage but Isaiah informed me that was not a legal parking space. (Whenever I've moved in the past and space needed to be dedicated to the truck the movers reserved it with the city) I asked what he wanted me to do and he asked to come back the following day and for our family to park our vehicle outside the garage to block off space. Not ideal, but I can accommodate the change to keep everyone safe. Ooooookay.... so we move our SUV & get a friend to park their car at our house on the street taking up nearly all the legal space in hopes the truck will fit. Wake up on the new moving day with the whole street empty AND THEY NEVER SHOWED. Called, sent text messages, left voice-mail messages, and had my spouse call..... they completely abandoned our move with no notice. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with this company. I ultimately had to cancel our move and request a refund. The owner of the company, Isaiah Johnson, never processed and returned my payment. He stopped returning phone calls and texts after telling my husband and I to give him 7-10 days to even process the request because he was working on an $20,000 job. Once reading reviews on his company, we are finding out that his company is a scam, his license has been revoked, and this a continual pattern. I am now in the process of filing a lawsuit against the company to obtain my payment. As well as contacting the police to file a report with them as well. read more

I don't often write reviews but the exemplary service I experienced with Willie Jay's Moving, certainly calls for one. The owner/operator is a young entrepreneur with his head squarely situated on his shoulders. He hires good people, mostly people he went to college with or good friends. I immediately noticed how well they communicate with each other and work as a team. They took extreme care with my fragile items as well as items of sentimental value. He & his crew were also incredibly respectful. It's also worth mentioning, the owner/operator was smart enough to hire a young woman in this typically male dominated industry. She held her own and then some, was 100% respected by her male counterparts as an equal and was the owner's second in command. This was refreshing to see. They all came prepared to do the job they were hired for and despite the unyielding heat, they made quick work of my move. The service was great! I recommend these guys. Young and motivated to start their business! They are easy to book but their follow up is a little weak to confirm that they'll be there. I think they're still trying to figure that part out hence the 4/5. Other than that I recommend them for their moving services. We got a flat rate of $700 including 26 ft truck for until the job was done. We had a 10 x 30 storage filled with furniture to move to a whole house. Heavy items include couches, mattress, bookshelves, tables, washer/dryer... they moved our furniture to the respective places in the house. This moving company is a SCAM. Isaiah, the owner, was initially prompt in his correspondence, scheduled our move-out date, and took our almost $700 deposit. Most of the reviews online were 5-stars, so thought this was a reputable company. However, he flaked on two scheduled home walk-throughs, stopped responding to our calls and text messages, and made excuses via text as to why he couldn't answer the phone. We have filled complaints with the BBB, BHGS, and FMCSA's National Consumer Complaint Database. I cannot say enough great things about Willie Jay's. We had originally hired a different but found out they only accepted cash two days before we were set to move. I scrambled to find a place that would have availability on short notice. I googled and Willie's was the second one to pop up but Isaiah answered immediately and was the first one to treat me like a friend just wanting to help someone out. Not only did he squeeze us into his schedule but he matched the quote from our original company. On top of that, he was incredibly understanding when our new apartment called and said our move in was delayed and we couldn't move until Tuesday. AJ, Mack, and Jeff showed up right on time and ready to go on the day of our move. They even brought the tools and took apart my bed frame I was having trouble with. These men are freaking amazing. I can't even imagine the actual number of times they had to go up and down those stairs carrying a heavy couch, too many boxes of my heavy books, every kitchen gadget imaginable, and a huge king sized bed. This moved wouldn't have happened without them. When we showed up to our new places, Isaiah showed up to check on everything and make sure it was running smoothly and then jumped in along with the others to get everything done. If you hire this company, they will treat you like family. They will make sure your items are treated with care. They will put all the boxes in the rooms they belong in. If you need it, they will help you take apart and put together your furniture. Moving is stressful enough. HIRE THESE GUYS to make your move a lot less stressful than it needs to be!! read more

Isaiah, the owner was awesome. Great communication, honest, reliable and hardworking. He came and gave us a walk through estimate for moving our home and stuck very closely to that estimate by pushing his guys to stay on track and keeping spirits high. We provided waters/Gatorade and pizza to help them keep going on move day because it was hot! They wrapped all of our furniture very well. They made sure to ask us which ones we wanted most protected. I will say, it may be important to get some mattress bags as one of our mattress and box spring sets got pretty dirty (thankfully it's got zip off covers so we just threw it in the wash. Somehow a bag of bolts and clips got misplaced during the day and Isaiah took full responsibility and went out and bought replacements. No one is perfect, but this crew was hands down 100% better than our last movers (mindful movers IE). Isaiah's crew didn't milk the clock and they put their all into the day. We had a 3200 sq ft house and 4 movers took about 10-11 hours. We did end up making 3 trips, but only because it was a 10 min drive and I preferred not to have furniture stacked. Isaiah and his team ruined our holiday. He and his team came through, about an hour late, the day of the move, surveyed the job, and then told us that they couldn't park safely on the street. He told my wife that if we could secure safe parking on the street that they would be back at 730am the next morning to move us. We thought it was odd. We're talking about 26 feet of space. Regardless, this was the plan. He is the professional and respected the policy. We took our truck out of the parking structure and parked on the street. We then asked a friend of ours to come and help save space. Our friend came through very early in the morning after working a 12 hour shift. The day of the move, they were late. They'd already shown that was acceptable because they were late the day before. Ok. We let it ride. Then, two hours went by. Three hours went by. Now we're worried. We texted Isaiah. I called him. Both efforts yielded no response. Around 11am we started looking for another company because we desperately needed to be out of the apartment. We ended up finding a new company who were just amazing! However, we ended up moving ON CHRISTMAS EVE! Our little boy had no tree, no "yule tide bliss", and spent his Christmas surrounded by boxes and sacks. Now, I am a bit old-fashioned but, when someone looks me in the eye, shakes my hand and says they are going to do something...well, call me silly..but, I expect that thing to happen. Isaiah lied to us. He disrespected us. He put our son in danger because he and his crew came into our home with no masks. He treated us like our time and our lives were not important and didn't even have the common decency to tell us that they decided to not take the job. I joined Yelp to write this review and it may be the last one I write. That's how serious this was to me. I'm not angry. I attempted to use Willie Jay's but, with no warning did not show the 1st date we had scheduled due to rain, fair enough, but a call would have been appreciated. Then with the assurance from Isaiah himself that the next day they will be there at 9am to complete the move, they did not show. This time Isaiah swapped from texting to confirm he would arrive to a sneaky email to inform us that he in fact was not. If that was the only problem and my 550 dollar deposit had been returned, I would not have bothered to leave a review, but that is where things get worse. Upon requesting my deposit be returned I was informed that he had spent it and does not have the money to refund it, then followed with a promise to pay after the job he finishes on Monday, again no word or payment. I would absolutely use his service, but just one of you, that way I can get refunded with your money. Outside of that the rest stay clear. read more

I'm so sorry to have to write this review because I'm a pretty easy going person and pretty forgiving with little mishaps because we're all human and things happen but this was a little ridiculous. First of all I did let Isaiah know that this was a 3k sqft home and there was a lot of big furniture pieces. He quoted me a price and told me it would take about 4-6 hours. I was going with the higher number even thinking it might go a little over 6 hours. Well it took them 12 hours. Now I do have to mention that I had already boxed everything that had to be stored and furniture had already been taken apart and mattresses had already been bagged. Isaiah told my son that we were going to need another storage unit. So went to the storage ant it was a disaster! Everything was just tossed in with no rhyme or reason. So I went back and asked him about this he said they were going to rearrange things. When they got there with the rest of the furniture I had to start directing the packing of the unit. I was so annoyed. But we got it done. I had furniture pieces damaged. And when I told Isaiah that I was going to have him leave me a blanket for a table that had to be stored on its side on the concrete floor he told me that would cost me $15. I told him let's just call it even since I've been working here for you too. And heres the thing... he had two workers to start the day but he didn't want to pay them over time so he picked up two high school boys to finish the job. We got many quotes for our cross-country move, and Willie Jay's came in at the best rate and best service. Isaiah was super responsive and helpful through the whole process, including helping me with a dresser that I hadn't been able to close in years. Come moving day, he and his crew worked so hard to load up all of our belongings. They made great time getting to our new home and did an amazing job on the other end unloading and putting things where we needed them to go.
