I wanted so much to like their food but it fell short. It was an interesting eclectic place, located in a mini mall where they take up 3/4th of the space. It's a very well stocked liquor store, a deli and a grill. I ordered one fish and chips, plus one order including shrimp and onion rings to go.I called the at 1:30pm and got there after 2:00pm, the traffic was horrendous (what's new?) When we opened to boxes, they looked very good with a nice amount of fish. The first thing is that there was no seasoning NONE on anything! The crunch was promising but they were overcooked lending them a jerky texture. The chips (fries) were fluffy and nicely made but NO salt. The whole meal was barely warm.I even put them in the trunk of my car to keep them so. This was disappointing but I feel there is great potential, as the quality seems good. If there is a next time, I will not order in advance and watch them being cooked. It turned out that the food was placed under heating lamp, they probably made the meals when I called it in. I specifically told them that I would be arriving around 2:00 pm. I hope they read this and do something about the seasoning! read more

i am sorry, i wanted this to be good, but it wasn't. The fish was tough like it had freezer burn and/or was overcooked. It was tasteless like it was old. Inside the market is the grill. There are three barstools but this is more of a togo operation since it's inside of the market. We Ordered the fish & chips, Philly cheesesteak, and chili hot dog. The fish & chips is the star of the show - flaky white fish & crisp fries. The philly chew steak could use more seasoning on the meat and veggies cooked longer. The chili dog was decent. I finally tried Willie's Fish and Chips inside the liquor store on the corner of Alameda and Victory. It doesn't t look like much from the outside but it is GOOD! We bought the Fish&Chips and the Fish/Shrimp & Chips Combo. The fish and shrimp were Nice and crispy, not oily. Fish tastes fresh and it's a good amount! I would have liked a tad bit more salt or seasoning on the fish but it paired well with the salty tartar sauce. The shrimp are HUGE and they taste seafood-y, like lobster, I usually don't care for shrimp unless they're cooked whole and in the shell because if not, they just taste like nothing, but these shrimp were super tasty & brine-y.. It's a steal at $11.99 for fish and chips and $13.99 for fish and shrimp and chips! We also got a pint of tasty Mac salad for $5.99! I saw they had a sign for Postmates and Ubereats. The grill also sell Mexican food, deli sandwiches and breakfast! This is written during the Stay At Home order, as as far as that they are maintaining 6 feet distance rules for customers and sanitizing everything ! It looks like they either have new owners or perhaps new employees that work the register. They have the same two women, who have always been there, cooking. The tartar sauce gave me so much gas they should call it farter sauce seriously it was like I sat on a kazoo. The homeless guy in the parking lot with the 3 leged dog was the final straw.
