First time coming to this location the ambiance is quiet & the staff are incredibly helpful& friendly!! The staff recommended me some items that I should try such as the trout and Salmon burrito! I really appreciated that the staff allowed me to take my time while making a decision of what I was going to eat!! I have been to other fish dish locations I have never been to this one and it did not disappoint the fish was juicy perfectly seasoned and the garlic butter was amazing I would highly recommend to try this place out if you have not been here before. Let's get the pros out of the way. Employees were really chill, the battered cod is very good and the fact they added a slice of garlic bread on the side is a nice touch, and it tasted really nice. But the fries leave a little to be desired, as all though crispy, they lacked seasoning. The swai with garlic butter had a chocolate-like taste to it but it wasnt bad. Really tasty food. After a long day at Monsterpalooza, we were hungry and had sore feet. Fish Dish is across the street from the hotel with several other restaurants. Yelp reviews for the salmon burrito were good, so we tried that, with calamari, mahi mahi tacos and fried pollock tacos. All the food was really fresh and tasty. This place is so nice! The staff are always friendly and prompt and the food tastes amazing! I got the Atlantic salmon grilled with a side of sautéed vegetables and sweet potato fries and a fountain drink. Their Minute Maid lemonade is very good and so is their raspberry iced tea. There is also plenty of free parking since they share a large parking lot with a number of other businesses. The inside is also clean and tidy. It costs about $40 for two meals with drinks, which seems to be the standard these days. It is also close to the airport so it may be a good place to stop at while on the way in or out of town. This restaurant is located conveniently close to the Burbank airport. I was dropping somebody off for their flight but they had a lot of time left so we decided to eat here before parting ways. We got here around 7PM on a Sunday and it was mildly busy. The staff were very friendly. I ordered a cajun wild salmon with brown rice and coleslaw. It took about 15 minutes for our food to arrive. Unfortunately they mis-matched our orders/sides so my fish had the sides for the person I was eating with. We decided to split different fish in two and to keep our sides. On the bright side, this did allow me to try fish with the garlic butter sauce, which I ended up liking more than the cajun style. The fish here is pretty good. The coleslaw and the garlic bread were also good, but the brown rice was pretty meh. Adding some hot sauce, lemon, and sauce from the fish helped a lot. They were very generous with their portion of rice. In general the portion sizes here are very good. The meal was very filling. While I was eating, I couldn't help but notice that my table was shaky and the fly zapper was constantly going off. I prefer over having flies buzz at my face while I eat so I don't mind. This is my 2nd time coming here and I love it!!!! It's walking distance from Burbank Airport and in the same plaza as Panda Express and McDonald's. Last week I had the salmon burrito and this week I had the mahi mahi burrito with sweet potato fries. DELICIOUS!!!!! The fries dipped in ranch is very addictive and the burrito came with a side cilantro sauce that was the perfect addition to an already amazing burrito. This place is the best hole in the wall fish restaurant I've been to. All the food is so good. The sides are amazing. The fish is so fresh and perfectly cooked. I got the garlic sauce that I was worried It was going be a too garlicky , but it was absolutely perfect. Creamy and delicious! My fish was cooked to perfection and the portions were so generous. Anyone with severe allergies should read this. I've been a big supporter of fish dish and a regular customer for a very long time. Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience today and I no longer trust eating there. I had ordered my food asking for no dairy, due to major health issues where dairy could be very harmful for me. I reiterated a few times during my order, and was reassured several times by the man at the front desk that there would be no dairy in my food. Unfortunately, after eating the majority of my food, I found cheese. I went to ask and double check in hopes that it was a figment of my imagination, and the man at the counter who put in my order told me it was rice. I went back, went through the food more thoroughly and found long strands of cheese and approached them again, which then they confirmed was cheese. The man behind the counter offered to refund me (which they did) and apologized, but I was more concerned with my health than the money. I understand they were busy and mistakes happen, but when it comes to allergies, it could be very harmful, and I was visibly concerned and upset. When I asked to speak to the manager/owner, with the intention of making sure he was aware of how severe this could be for me or someone else, out of protection for myself, others and his business, and to make sure he properly educates his employees, the person at the desk denied me of speaking with the owner multiple times. I asked to speak with the chef then to make sure they were aware. The guy behind the counter continuously told me that he wasn't going to let me berate people or get them fired. I continued to express that I wasn't there to berate anyone or get them fired, but simply just to educate. But unfortunately, the more he was defensive and accusatory, after already feeling distressed due to my health, the more dysregulated I became. He then proceeded to tell me he would call the cops on me and tell them I was trespassing if I don't leave, which I encouraged him to do (he did not proceed). I kept reiterating my intention was not to get him fired or berate anyone, but he accused me of lying. Eventually, the chef stepped out, to talk, which I had a decent conversation with, while the guy behind the counter continued to interrupt. He was more concerned about his/ their job and making assumptions up in his head, then putting the importance on my health.... undermining the importance of what had happened. I stood there for about 30 minutes while he took care of 2 other customers or stayed busy doing other things, before he finally called the owner, who took my concern with compassion and understanding. I indeed expressed to the owner that my intention was not to get the staff fired, but that he should be aware and that it is a serious issue when someone expresses any kind of allergy, that it should not be taken lightly. I originally complimented the man at the counter for his kind demeanor before this all occurred, and I could understand his concern... but I'm saddened on how I was treated after the turn of events, and so much distress could have been avoided. read more

Fish Dish is def my go to when it comes to quick and somewhat healthy Seafood , I used to go to the One in North Hollywood which is closer to me but sadly it has permanently closed. I like to get Wild caught Salmon with Cilantro rice , Cole slaw and a side of tortilla , don't sleep on the chipotle sauce it's yummy and their salsas are Also pretty good , my only complaint is the lack of flavor on the fish I choose garlic and Cajun seasoning , every other time I had this the flavor was off the charts literally drool worthy . I can definitely say that the North Hollywood location had a better flavor profile . The Fish used to be super tasty . This time around the fish lacked flavor big time :( it almost seemed poached with no flavor and the cilantro rice was also pretty lackluster and a bit too hard . This experience was very contrary to what I know and love from Fish Dish . At first glance, everything looks great and so I received my burrito and I would say about 30 minutes after I had eaten my burrito I started feeling intense stomach pains, and it lasted throughout the whole day and it is still going on right now, and it keeps intensifying. I've been going to fish dish since they first opened many years ago. I love the fried fish tacos, grilled Swai, and the salmon burrito. The service is GREAT. Actually it got much better. For a while they were short staffed. During lunch hour they wouldn't answer their phones or the hold time used to be horrendous. But they have redeemed themselves past few years and I always leave happy. The servers at the register and phone are patient and thorough. Food is good. We were looking for some seafood yesterday for dinner. Had ordered fish and chips previously from Fish Dish but wanted to try more of a plate type meal from them this time. Was very disappointed with California Fish Grill last 2 times we ordered from them so we sent back to Fish Dish. My wife had the wild salmon charbroiled with garlic sauce, cilantro rice and sauteed broccoli. I had the charbroiled Atlantic salmon plate (w/signature sweet sauce) with grilled zucchini and coleslaw. I am only home three days during the weekend and I will go to this place on Friday and Saturday and Sunday, I really like getting the garlic butter skewers of Shrimp and the steamed vegetables are broccoli and onions and I also get either a side of avocados or the Brussel sprouts and sometimes I will order the wild caught salmon and still get the skewers of shrimp. They include a couple wedges of lemon and a slice of buttery french bread. They have many other fish options, but I really enjoy getting what I ordered each time. I wish they had one of these places in the city of Carson and a place in Las Vegas, Nevada. So for me wanting two sides of veggies it costs me an extra $3.75. Not even Panda Express charged extra for just veggies It's unfortunate that veggies aren't included in the house sides.
