So, I have now become addicted to the incredibly delicious food and warm friendly service. I live 8 miles away and whenever I get to this part of town I immediately get excited to have lunch there. I have even brought my wife a couple times for dinner so far. We both love it. In this heat wave times I'm stoked to get a salmon salad-my favorite- or poke salad bowl. The food was delicious. I had the poke nachos, clam chowder, and the Brussel sprouts. I also liked that we are able to order alcoholic drinks. I do want to come back for the lobster rolls. The service was amazing the people were all attentive of the customer and helpful when they did not know how to order. Stopped by for lunch this afternoon. It wasn't my first time here but it had been a while. I ordered at the kiosk, which was convenient and easy. The everything protein bowl was delicious and very filling. I love how they have the calories listed under each dish on the menu. They have healthy options too. Everything tasted fresh. Sustainably caught fish that's fresh & affordable. You can be as healthy as you here with ample protein & veggies and even cauliflower "rice". You can also be as wicked as you like with their fried fish items. I've been here a bunch of times, but most recently on a Friday night at 7pm and it was PACKED! Which meant the wait was 20 minutes for my two grilled fish plates. The staff was hustling! I saw more than six cooks in the kitchen and four staff at the counter. I do think their touchscreen self checkout slows things down a lot. It would be faster if someone else input the order. The fish (salmon & Branzino) is done American-style, which means a bit crisp on the edges and overdone by this Asian person's standards. All in all though, a good, healthy fast food option that's well-priced. read more

We stopped here before hitting the 4DX theatre to see GOAT. The boys chose this place out of all the options and for the most part, it was pretty good but I did have a few issues. Parking wasn't one of them because it's surrounded by several restaurants and shops which all share the same parking. It probably gets busy on a nice sunny day but it was pretty empty during the rain. However, the 1st issue was, with it being my first time here and not being aware that you can only order at the kiosks, I was standing there for a few mins looking at the worker behind the counter waiting for him to call us up as he was looking at me. The manager finally told his employee to help me order on the kiosk and then that's when I realized you can only order through the kiosk and I told him I got it. Secondly, most of the tables were clean but the one booth we wanted in the corner so I cleaned it and we got our seat. Lastly, the fries were over cooked and a little too crispy/hard. They were seasoned good but just way too crispy and hard. Now for the good! The Lobster Rolls were really good! I ordered the two lobster roll combo with fries and a drink and the boys ordered fish & chips kids meals. It seemed like they had no issues and liked their meals. Overall, I would 100% be back for the lobster rolls but they need to clean up the area a little better. They also need to take the fries out sooner than they did. We had low expectations for this restaurant. But we were pleasantly surprised. All of the food was fresh and delicious. Portion sizes were generous. The fish and chips were a really good deal. We got the one with three pieces of fish and they were very large. We really liked the grilled flavor on the shrimp trio. And the garlic butter sauce is absolutely amazing, as everybody says. The coconut shrimp was crunchy and flavorful. It came with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. Staff were friendly and helpful. Even when I asked if the asparagus was decent, haha! I don't think it's quite worth the extra charge for asparagus, since they only give you three spears. But it was nice asparagus! Fries were really good. They had old Bay seasoning and rich potato flavor. Sweet potato fries were also really good. They seem to be thicker cut and the ones at other restaurants. they come packaged in a cleverly designed container with ventilation to keep it from getting soggy and a spot on the lid for the sauce. DH got the Branzino with brown rice and plain zucchini. All of the items were fresh and tasty. The rice and the fish and chips were a bit saltier than expected, but the grilled zucchini helped to offset this. The restaurant itself is clean and there is plenty of seating inside. It was very busy on a Saturday night for dinner. Which is always a good sign! It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out and everything was hot. The employee packaging the food checked over the order very carefully to make sure it was perfect. If you're looking for tasty seafood at a reasonable price, give this place a try. read more

Ya girl has been obsessed with California Fish Grill lately and when in Burbank to see Halloween lights, I hit the Burbank CFG up! I'm happy to report this location upholds all the same standards as the others, with a big ol' parking lot to boot! I love parking lots in LA! lol I love their new wild rockfish! I got that on this visit with some delish but not overpowering teriyaki sauce. Then a plump shrimp skewer with their garlic butter sauce mixed with cajun sauce on top. Deliciously divine, y'all! I swear that garlic butter sauce is the bomb. I dream about it. It's like dessert in sauce form. Everything at CFG is always so fresh, great portion sizes and truly delicious flavors. I added pics. Keep in mind the wide angle lens makes it look way bigger. IT WAS INSULTINGLY TINY. I could fit it in my hand and I'm a 5"4' woman, so you know, I have small hands. I can't even tell you if it was good, because it was done in 4 bites. I tasted one interesting bite and then it was done. So can't tell you what it really tasted like. And the fried calamari was burnt and tasteless. wasted $30 on a lobster roll SLIDER and a side of bad calamari. read more

It's She is an amazing manager very intentional, professional, welcoming, and genuinely attentive to the people she serves. What stood out to me was the care she put into making sure everything was handled well and that I felt valued as a customer. We enjoyed the different fishes but were not too fond of there "Uncle Ben's" like rice. The rice is not fully cooked. I ordered asparagus and got 4 pieces that was charred and raw on the inside. The fries were just OK..... It's a very casual atmosphere, clean and organized and bathrooms were clean. You order at the kiosks and they call you up to pick up your own food. I hadn't been to this location in a while, but I'd been seriously craving California Fish Grill, so I decided to swing by on my way home from work. I went with the Miso Salmon Bowl, which was packed with flavor. It was Grilled Salmon, Miso Slaw, spicy Quinoa-Edamame Rice, Red & Green Onion, Tomato, Black Sesame Seeds, and their Citrus Miso Sauce. I love when they have the Miso sauce available as it ties everything together so well. I also got to try a couple of new components that I hadn't seen before. The Kale Miso Slaw was a standout: a modern twist with chopped kale and cabbage tossed in a super flavorful dressing that gave a nice fresh crunch. The Quinoa-Edamame Rice was another great surprise. It was white rice mixed with quinoa and edamame, seasoned with poke sauce. It had a great texture and added a bit more substance to the bowl. For a Saturday evening around 5pm, it was fairly busy, but I had no trouble finding a seat and my food came out pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and efficient, and everything tasted fresh. I would really say it's more of 3.5 mostly for friendly service, price point, and wait time for the food. My boyfriend loves his sandwich and fries but my food was ok. The shrimp could've been cooked longer and I feel like the garlic sauce was slapped on. The rice and zucchini were pretty good but I would not order it again. The waiters were really nice and checked on us after we got our food. The strawberry mint drink they have is good but k wish it had a bit more mint taste. She was so attentive that she noticed a customer touched the spout of the soft drink dispenser and noticed that we decided not to refill our drink for that reason... she went behind him and cleaned it up and ensured that it was clean without even asking.
