I love a good turkey sandwich and this one hit the spot. Good bread with a nice chew! I liked the pickle/topping they added but unfortunately the way they added it made it so most of it fell out while you ate the sandwich. Worker was a bit standoffish but it was a quick transaction so I did not have a long interaction. I would consider coming back when in the area

Unfortunately, we decided to give Santoro's another chance after our first disappointing experience, and the second visit was essentially the same. The quality issues we mentioned previously had not improved, which is why we feel the one-star rating is still appropriate. Regarding the owner/manager's response to our previous review: we were not "promoting" or comparing Santoro's to another restaurant. We simply mentioned that there were some similarities between the businesses. They are completely different restaurants, and our review was specifically about our experience at Santoro's. What was most disappointing is that instead of simply addressing the concerns about the food and our experience, part of the response seemed focused on telling us what we should or should not include in our review. We returned, spent our money again, and unfortunately had the same experience. At this point, we won't be returning.

Great sandwiches! Tried this place out and we loved it! Not my fave style with how they dice the veggies in, but it was good! They also put a good amount of Mayo and I usually like it a little less. Nice little shop on Burbank blvd. though, I'd be back!

Despite the sandwiches being packed with meat and tons of flavor, I'm gonna have to take some stars away on this review. Since my last review, I've returned multiple times and have specifically asked for no oil in my sandwich every single time. Never fails, it's soaking drenched. My bread is soggy from all the oil. I've ended up having to break off a lot of my bread. Who wants to eat soggy wet bread. Surely, I don't.

Decent sandwich shop but nothing spectacular. Coworker had heard good things so we decided to give it a try! Parked in the back lot which was easy. This place is pretty no frills- no real decor just sandwiches. Asked the worker which sandwiches were the most popular. She said the pastrami so I got that with a bag of chips. Coworker got the same with a deli salad, coleslaw was out. Overall is was ok - super messy but not as tasty as I thought it'd be. Service was friendly. Guess I gotta try something else next time!

This is the bread. It didn't absorb anything from the meat or pickle mix.

I went to your website first, but there was no way to contact you through an email. So Yelp is it. Around 12:15 today, Friday, August 21, I came in and ordered the Large Italian. It looked fine. When I got home and took my first bite, there was no flavor. You could barely taste the meat, the cheese. You could taste the pickle mix. Why was it so bland? I realized the roll you used today was so stale. It was chewy stale and took over each bite. On the second half of the sandwich, I removed the roll completely and had just the meat, cheese and pickle and OH MY WHAT A DIFFERENCE. The incredible flavors. Whatever bread you are using, you got to dump because people aren't getting the flavors they are used to. Today was not your finest day.

This place is an absolute GEM! They get their cannoli shells from their birthplace in Sicily. That speaks volumes! The meatball subs.. My God, I feel I've gone to heaven! I like getting provolone on mine, but to each their own. Love the owner, Sal, what a great guy. Everyone who works there seems like "family". I cannot wait to go again. Places like this, that have not changed at all since day 1, in a good way.. they are hard to find these days. They've been open 70 years.. they're doing something right! Thank you for existing, and working so hard to create food that we so look forward to eating. What a treat!

I have traveled in the area for years and had never run into Santoro's Subs, when I landed at Burbank Airport this week I did a Yelp search and it came up and was close so we quickly drove to the site after seeing the pictures and reviews, so glad that we did. The interior has limited space for indoor eating but they do have a section of the wall for bar stool seating. We were greeted by two very friendly employees, during our interaction they mention that the deli has been open for over 60 years. I am not sure how I missed this place over the many years of traveling through this area but so glad we stopped by. The sandwiches, very full of meat and plenty of toppings to your liking. I had the Italian, with mayo and mustard, you do need to request these but on top of this you also get a mountain of chopped tomato, pickles and onions, you can add salt, pepper, oil and oregano. We also ordered the meat ball, they looked home made with a great red sauce and toppings. Glad that I only ordered the small it was very filling, the bread was soft and had a great taste from the first bite to the last. I have already shared my experience with my local family and friends. I look forward to returning soon.

Cool spot. Simple, order from the counter place with a few seats inside and a couple tables outside. It's been around for 69 years. Staff were very nice. Quality ingredients. They chop up the toppings so it ends up being messy to eat, but very tasty. I'd recommend.

Located right in downtown Burbank, you walk in and order at the counter, you get a number, and they bring the food out to your table when ready. It's very casual, plenty of seating inside and outside. Staff were super friendly and welcoming, which is a huge deal and very rare nowadays. They even had a new happy hour special. Who doesn't love a $3 beer with lunch? As for the food, I was thoroughly impressed! Pastrami melt was amazing! Full of delicious pastrami, melted cheese, and pickles. So delicious! Fries looked like they were actual fresh made fries, not frozen, which was a nice surprise. I could also tell that they make their ranch from scratch. The bbq chicken sandwich was also delicious. Side salad was super fresh. Everything was so delicious! Portions nice; prices fair. I am impressed with Wild Carvery because I could tell that the ingredients are fresh and the quality is high. I also suspect that they make their own pickles? But I'm not sure. If quality and freshness are important to you, I highly recommend checking out Wild Carvery. I can't wait to come back and try their burgers.

I first found out about Handy Market on social media for their weekend BBQ about a month ago. As I had been craving bbq for a couple weeks now, I found today to be the best opportunity to give them a try. I placed an order for pick up the night before. I got kind of carried away with the order, as I wanted to try almost everything on the menu. The prices were absolutely insane! I think I ended up paying about 65 dollars for food that would easily feed me for a good 3 or 4 days. When I arrived to pick up my order at my pick up time, I had noticed my order was being packed. I asked the employees if I can leave my order with them for a bit so that I can pick up some meat inside the market. They obliged, and I went to the meat counter to order my beef back ribs to cook for tomorrow. For 5 pounds, I ended up paying about $34, which was definitely a bargain. They were also selling breakfast burritos and sandwiches in the store, which I found to be awesome. I took everything home and opened my bag of spoils. After I took everything out, I statted thinking of what I wanted to eat first and what I wanted to save for later. It was so much food that I thought I could feed an entire army. Definitely will be back for the breakfast burritos and sandwiches, and for the meats again, for sure!

However, I am compelled to rate this establishment one star due to a particularly unpleasant experience with a female deli employee whose first name begins with the letter "J." Despite my frequent visits, the overall customer service in the deli and meats department has declined. The season butchers have been replaced with individuals lacking the necessary experience and customer courtesy that were previously present. Over the past three months, I have encountered the same issues with this particular employee. It is important to note that the fee charged for slicing a Tri Tip into a carton container is not the primary concern. The issue lies in the employee's behavior and attitude, specifically their unwillingness to properly wrap the sliced meat. This has occurred on multiple occasions, most recently at the checkout counter when the cashier pull the foil-wrapped package from the plastic bag causing the juices of the meat to spill all over the counter. This has happened to me every time this employee has served me. The Tri Tip sliced meat is dry and devoid of juices due to this careless employee's failure to wrap the meat carefully. It is imperative that this situation be addressed. Management should provide this employee, "J," with proper training on how to wrap sliced food correctly. Additionally, it is crucial the ambiance that all employees, including the deli and butcher employees, maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor. A salutation is always appreciated. Despite these concerns, the BBQ remains outstanding as always.
