I've had two hives removed this summer. Andre Came on schedule to remove a large hive in my soffit. When I called, I was told all about how they remove bees and why it is necessary to remove the beehive too. I made an appointment for the next day. Adrian called me and arrived 45 minutes later. He accessed the situation as we talked about how wonderful bees are....except when they make their home right next to my front door! To bee or not to bee? That was the question. You see, a buzzing phalanx of industrious, sting-ey little bees moved into a nook in the roof of my house. I made the call and spoke with none other than the Bee Man's daughter. Local and family-owned. Cool. It's strange to say, but the morning I spent with Aimee and Rafael, the bee people, was fascinating, educational, and hugely entertaining. They kept me informed about every phase of the project, pausing often to educate me about bee behavior and some of the science behind the hive that we were decimating. I even got to don a nifty bee-keeper hat (smelled like honey) and hang out near the work. When the big slabs of honeycomb, dripping with fresh local honey started coming out of my house, I was a wide-eyed kid seeing a new wonder of the world for the first time. The precise geometry of the combs, the wonderfulness of the delicate honey, and the coordination of the hive were astonishing to see up close. It was a darn shame to destroy such beauty, and I could tell that Willie the Bee Man feels the same way. The service from Willie the Bee Man was fantastic. I should've used Willie The Bee Man a long time ago. I've had bee problems inside my ceiling for years. In 2008, bee keepers got rid of them. They said I had 1 foot by 4 feet beehive in my ceiling. They took the queen. After 3 years, the bees came back. In 2017, Al Flex exterminator charged me $495 for dealing with the bees before tenting my house. They even opened my ceiling because they said if they don't, the bees will be back. A month or two after, the bees were back. The bees started to grow in number hovering in the same place, they started another beehive at my neighbors cleusa hedge. We realized over the weekend that we had a "bee issue" within an outer wall of our home. We called Willie the Bee Man first thing Monday morning, and Blas the Bee Man was at our home by around noon the same day. He quickly assessed the situation, gave me a quick education about bees and how hives are built, and then quickly removed the hive that had apparently been growing for around 2 weeks. Although a small hole had to be made in the wall, Blas kept the damage as minimal as possible and removed all remnants of the hive. Imagine you have a colony of ground hornets-- mean, aggressive little creatures who sting en masse- and could cause serious harm to a small child or small animal, or anyone allergic. He took my money for FOUR consecutive years to remove the same bee's in the same area in the same home. He destroyed the plywood eaves and facia boards where the bee's were. I called Willie the Bee Man for an appointment. I was told that I would receive a call 30 minutes before someone would show up at my house that same day. Nobody ever called and I called back 2 more times the same day. The third time I called the person with whom I spoke was apologetic and assured me that someone would be at my house the next morning and I asked for a call in the morning to confirm. Needless to say, nobody from Willie the Bee Man called me and nobody showed up at my house. After patiently waiting a couple of hours I called Willie the Bee Man to cancel my appointment and to inform them that I had another company coming to my house. The person with whom I spoke was more interested in me telling him the name of the other company to let me know if he thought they were a good company. I found that interesting when Willie the Bee Man gave me very poor customer service and absolutely no follow up. They should be more concerned about their own company and how to please the customer rather than providing their opinions on whether or not another company is good or not. Willie the Bee Man tackled a very challenging, multiple hive removal from a tight, awkward space in our shed with professionalism and enthusiasm. We had a great experience with this company and recommend their service to others. Our shed is positioned in the corner of our yard with just a few feet clearance between a fence and utility pole. FPL informed us they couldn't service the line due to a massive beehive on the back of our shed. Several friends recommended Willie so we called and Omar arrived to save the day. He removed three separate hives from the soffit of the shed. How he was able to fit in that little space and successfully pull out the comb and honey is a mystery to me! We assumed he would need to pry off boards and braced ourselves for all the damage but Omar was able to access the entire hives through existing vents and one small cutout that was a snap to repair.
