I stopped by for lunch today through the drive through. I ordered the "special" 3 piece catfish combo which included 3 huge catfish tenders, fries, hush puppies, and a HUGE drink for $9.99. Service: Good. I mean I can't really say much about since I went through the drive through. They seemed really busy although there was only one other family there. It took them about 5 minutes before getting to my order but I didn't mind since I was looking over their menu anyways. The food came out outrageously quick and with a smile! Food: Alright. I wouldn't say it's worth the $10 but the portions were definitely large. The crunch on the catfish was not that appealing. It just wasn't...tasty. Maybe I'm used to the cheap overly seasoned super crunchy fish filets at captain D's but if that's what "homemade" taste like, I'll stick to the cheap captain D's. The fries were good though, thick cut crinkle fries and very crunchy. Hush puppies were definitely overly cooked and burnt as you can see in the picture I will attach; tasted good still though. What a let down. With all the positive reviews I just knew it'd be awesome! I waited in line for sometime before I hopped back in my car. I went through the drive through. It ended up saving me a few places in line. They have a limited menu of several things that look great. I went for the burger. It came out with way too much ketchup and mustard. I rarely complain about something like this because I really like yellow mustard. It was just overwhelming. The few bites I got around the condiments were just bland. The burger had such little flavor that I was surprised. If I end up coming back, I'm going for the BBQ next time. Hopefully that's on point. I wouldn't recommend the burger. read more

The food is made to order and they stay slammed during lunch (although their system keeps it moving fast). They serve very unique fusion Burgers and Subs. The combinations are amazing. Best Decision Ever. I still think about this sandwich often, it was delicious and beautiful; I savored every last bite. I constantly try to think of reasons that could justify driving over 2 hours just to get another one. This place is just a great place to eat. Menu is diverse and creative. Food is delicious and service is very friendly. Still the only knock on the place is they need indoor seating. Other than that it is one of the best places to eat in Dalton. They have fish and shrimp back. Yes. I will say that the Vodoo chicken is the bomb. Love this place. Please bring back the hot dog. A walk up window with 3 tables...we were lucky enough to get one being odd hours although the drive up window was busy the whole time. EMERGENCEY FOOD REVIEW: I have recently had my first two visits to Willie's Burger & Fish Fry....It is located in Dalton, Ga and has been operating for around 11 or 12 years....they are known for a big menu of enormous burgers and sandwiches. I love the atmosphere!....it runs simply out of a little red shack...they do most of their business from the drive-thru window, but they also have three outdoor tables........bathroom was an awkward 1-header. First you have to open the big silver door to the kitchen, then you walk past the active kitchen to get to the bathroom. It's a very small bathroom, but at least it was a clean 1-header...the bathroom was very warm on this warm day....I really think they could benefit from a couple of Port-a-Potties outside. FRIES: Adequate CORNDOG: Adequate BIG FAT ELVIS BURGER: Very Good...has bacon, cheese, peanut butter, and jelly....fun and unique, you must try one at least once in your life...make it your first burger here. ZAPATA BURGER: Very Good...has ham, avocado, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno. CUBAN MOJITO PORK: Very Good....grilled onions, provolone, mojito garlic marinade, mayo, lettuce, tomato, fries on top of sandwich. VEGAS JOYRIDE: Very Good, a cold sub...salami, ham, pepperoni, provolone, avocado, & bacon. PRO TIP #1: You'll be tempted to double or triple your burger patties for a higher price....don't do that unless you are just having a plain cheeseburger....the single patty burger is big enough considering how well they do with piling on the toppings. PRO TIP #2: Their fountain sodas are a bit flat....bring a small cooler with you with your can or bottled Cokes, Sprites, etc....leave your cooler in your motor vehicle first, go pay for your food, grab your outdoor table, then go retrieve your drinks from your motor vehicle....you'll definitely want a good soda with a meal like this. CONCLUSION: This is a really neat place!...I may have to start going about once a month.....have your napkins ready and prepared for a greasy/messy fun time......prices may seem a little steep at first for a sandwich, but once you see the HUGE portions you'll get it......This place is every vegetarians worst nightmare....a great find...and a must-try. read more

I have heard so many great things about this place so about 2 weeks ago I finally decided to try it out. Big Mistake. Save your money and eat somewhere else. You can get a steak dinner for the cost of even some of the cheapest things available here. First off, this is not the kind of food you want to eat in your car, it is juicy, messy and I suppose could be good, so eating there is the ideal option. However, in North Georgia, it is summer weather for about 9 months of the year most years. If you don't mind eating outside in the heat then more power to you. The portions are fine but the menu options are very limited to basically the run-of-the-mill offerings you might find at a catered company picnic. They just mix and match them and slap cute names on it so they can fill a menu. The food definitely has that "food-from-the-family-reunion- that-uncle-so-and-so-grilled" look, feel, and taste to it to go along with the fill up the plate portions. In short, I didn't see anything special about it, I definitely didn't like the idea of eating outside at 1 pm when it is 98 degrees outside, I didn't like the idea of nickel and diming customers on sauces, condiments, refills, etc, and the prices are just too much. I don't see this place surviving in this town much longer. This is the type of place that would fit nicely in a high pedestrian traffic location, preferably a place that sees high tourism. On a side note, a partnership with a local brewery could send this place off down the road of great success. Time will tell. read more

The Cuban sandwich was packed with pork and ham; it was lunch and dinner that day. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich and the blue martini burger with bacon were both tasty. The portions are great for the price; I can usually clean my plate, but not always at this place. The fries are spiced well and piping hot. The service has been fast and friendly every time. They've been great about my requests on orders..no onions, extra pickles. Their menu has a fair amount of variety for a fish fry and burger shack.
