Good location of Willie's, I'm a fan of this chain. Casual American dining with some really good entrees (and a couple misses). Plenty of parking at this location and easy to get to off the I-10. Service and cleanliness were quite good. Willie's is a little confusing in their ordering system as you can order at the register, or from the waiter directly. Depending on who you place the order with, you can either pick up your drinks yourself, or the wait staff will do it. Personally, I'm a fan of their burgers, brisket potatoes, and margaritas. Avoid the crawfish (when in season) and the steak fingers at all costs, though! You have been warned. Desserts are generally good across the board, be sure to try the Bourbon Bread Pudding and the delightful Peach Cobbler. They have lunch specials and not to mention their rewards on the phone app. You cans pick up curbside, sit inside the dining room or at the bar are and they also have a covered patio area. Went back here after staying away from this location for over a year. Things have changed for the better. Greeted as soon as we walked in door, order taker was pleasant and polite. I really enjoyed eating at Willie's Grill and Icehouse. They have the best snow crab legs in this area. Plus since I went during happy hour so there were drink specials on the frozen margaritas. It's a very laidback and friendly atmosphere with booths, bar seatings, and a lot of TV's turned on to different sports channels. The server was great too! As a first timer to Willies, I was a little put off upon entering, they have a sign that said "wait to be seated", so we waited, it wasn't until 5mins later a server noticed us and instructed us how it works at Willies. Although she was kind, she seemed a little irritated with us just standing in the middle of the room. Their entrance/host area is misleading if you're not familiar with the style of service. They could use some better signage for new customers. What to expect: If you never been to Willie's you start out by going to the counter to order your food, get a ticket and find a place to sit. There's napkins and silverware are at the tables so you have all your immediate needs there. Once your food is ready a server will come and bring it to you, and will check on you occasionally to see if you need anything. It's a very "help yourself" kind of place. We went for lunch and had their Shrimp po-boy and Costal Catch: fried shrimp with a small order of hush puppies. Everything was very tasty, well seasoned, came out hot/cold appropriately, and was well proportioned for the cost paid. The environment indoors was very fun and casual, lots of places to sit and bring a larger party. All kinds of good stuff with the little bit of a bar menu with some perks. Crab legs crawfish fried jalapenos are some of my favorites but they have the full menu. All you got to do is grab a draft beer and you're good to go! The burgers are pretty good but when I'm in there I usually get something a little bit different. We dined at Willie's this Saturday evening and our server was Kate. She was professional and friendly and made sure that we were well cared for. She's an excellent employee. At the end of our meal, she noticed that I still had my empty soda bottle in my hand and offered to take it for me. I told her that I made a habit of taking bottles home to recycle.
