First time eating at the New Braunfels location. Looks exactly like every other location. Looked perfectly clean- just open 12/08/25. The first person we encountered was Reno. He showed us to our seats. He's real so personable and super friendly. Our waitress was okay -she made no impression good or bad. I think we only seen her three times the whole visit. The manager was also making his rounds and we had a long conversation super nice guy. As for the food, you can never go wrong with Texas roadhouse. You expect the food to be a certain way and they never fail you. Everything was delicious and cooked exactly the way it should be - absolutely no complaints. Everything was perfect. read more

My wife and I went to dinner at this location last night. Even though it was busy, we were seated fairly quickly, and our server, Jess, was fantastic from the start. She was attentive, friendly, and checked on us regularly without ever leaving us waiting. We ordered an appetizer and then our entrées. I ordered the 16 oz. New York Strip cooked medium. When the steak arrived, I cut into it and found that it was much closer to medium-rare or even rare than medium. I politely asked Jess if it could be put back on the grill for a bit, and she was very kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, when the steak came back, it had swung in the opposite direction and was now well done. By this point, my wife had already finished her meal while I still hadn't eaten. Manager Christi came to the table, apologized, and offered to have a new steak made. She asked how I wanted it cooked, and I clearly said medium. She told me it would take about 15 minutes. After waiting well over 15 minutes, Jess continued checking in on us and asking if we had received the replacement steak. When we told her no, she sincerely apologized, even though it was clearly not her fault. She was doing everything she could to make things right and remained professional throughout the entire experience. The manager eventually offered a discount, which was appreciated, but her attitude felt rushed and dismissive, as though dealing with the situation was an inconvenience. We later had to remind her that we still hadn't received the replacement steak. When the second replacement finally arrived, it initially looked correct in the dim lighting. However, once we moved it into better light and cut into it, it was obvious that it was once again cooked well done. Jess looked genuinely disappointed because she wanted us to have a good experience. We reassured her that none of this was her fault and thanked her for everything she had done. When Christi returned to the table and we explained that the steak was still overcooked, her response was what ultimately ruined the experience for us. She made an annoyed face and said, "Well, you asked for it medium well?" in a passive-aggressive tone. My wife and I immediately clarified that I had ordered it medium, and the ticket reflected that as well. She responded with an unpleasant look, said, "Okay, I'll take it off," and quickly walked away. I understand restaurants get busy. Mistakes happen, and an incorrectly cooked steak is not the end of the world. What matters is how those mistakes are handled. As someone who has worked in customer service for decades, the passive-aggressive attitude and lack of professionalism from management were disappointing and unacceptable. Jess was the highlight of the evening and the only reason this review isn't much harsher. She was attentive, caring, and clearly invested in making sure guests had a good experience. On this adventure we wanted to try the new "Texas Roadhouse" in New Braunfels. As you enter you notice a good size of seating in the waiting area and a warm greeting from the personal at the counter. They take your name and if there is seating they'll seat you promptly. The server was excellent and extremely helpful as most of them are at the restaurant, which is very much appreciated. Upon taking your seat you are given those sweet rolls with that savory butter, it's like they call you from the basket. Now the main reason for coming the food, you have a large variety of options, from lighter to something more. I choose the "Chicken Fried Chicken", with Chili and a Side Salad. The main dish was seasoned great the flavor was outstanding, the chili was just right with this cool weather. Overall this place is an excellent option in the New Braunfels area. read more

We've been lifelong Texas Roadhouse customers and have never experienced such consistently disappointing visits as we have at the New Braunfels location. Sadly, the 3 out of our last 5 visits have been beyond subpar. On previous visits, my husband's shrimp was served cold, and today his steak came out undercooked. While mistakes can happen anywhere, the service we received today was what truly ensured we will not be returning. We understand the service industry well because we worked in it ourselves for years, and we are not people who complain lightly. However, our server never smiled once, was extremely short with us, and repeatedly spoke while walking away from the table as though we weren't worth her full attention. The overall interaction felt dismissive and rude from start to finish. When the check arrived, we provided a gift certificate and a promotional coupon we had purchased. She returned the coupon without any explanation until we asked about it ourselves. There was no apology, no effort to explain the fine print, and no guidance on how to use it properly in the future--just a brief, inconvenienced response that made us feel like a burden. This was not a peak hour, but a 3pm dine in. We were seated in the bar area, and because our small table was not being cleared, we eventually had to approach the bartender simply to ask for napkins and a place to put a finished plate. Instead of helping professionally, the bartender gave us a snickering, sarcastic smile and rolled her eyes. Everyone has hard days, especially in the service industry, but basic courtesy and professionalism still matter. Unfortunately, the attitudes and lack of care we experienced made us feel like an inconvenience rather than paying customers. We decided to have lunch there 2 days ago. My guest ordered a Texas tea! It was a glass of what looked like green tea with a shot of apparently rum. Outraged at $9.99 price for a penny worth of tea and a short shot of rum. She said it tasted awful. We didn't complain because I already sent the Texas ribeye back. It was so heavily salted that I couldn't eat it! The baked potato was delicious but lukewarm at best. My guest enjoyed her filet and the fried whole okra. The service was sketchy with different people bringing us food. On a positive management was pleasant and replaced the steak sans the salt! It was an $87 lunch including the tip. We will probably return to this location. Be sure to tell them if you don't like heavily salted food. read more

I was so excited to see we were getting a Texas Roadhouse in New Braunfels. I have been to many locations nationwide, and I have never had a bad experience, ever. Their steaks are always really good, and do not break the bank. Their rolls are heavenly, and the atmosphere is always fun. I could go on and on selling the greatness of your typical Texas Roadhouse. That being said, the New Braunfels location has some work to do. I understand that they are new, but I have been twice, and both times are not up to the Texas Roadhouse standard that I've grown to love. Before you even get in the door, you've got to fight traffic in the parking lot. When the parking lot was built, it should have been built to accommodate employees and customers. Cars are parked on the curb, so that means getting out of your parking spot, if you find one, is a challenge. I'm hopeful with future expansion in the area that they can expand their parking lot. As stated before, I have been twice. First time I got the prime rib. It was very dry and very chewy. The second trip I got the ribeye, and it also was dry and rubbery. The last time we went they were out of baked and sweet potatoes. If you run a steakhouse, you should know the side to a steak is almost always a baked potato. So that alone can ruin someone's meal. For now, I will skip this location and keep driving to San Marcos. They have work to do here, and need to perfect things to uphold the Texas Roadhouse standard. My wife and I have been to many different Tx Roadhouse and keep coming back for their great meals. We decided to celebrate our 29th anniversary at the fairly new location in New Braunfels Tx. We had a very charismatic waiter named Trevor that said all the right things. We had a great meal, atmosphere and service were great. My biggest disappointment was as we left I walked by the counter where you can select the steak you want and noticed the steak I selected was still in the meat counter with the tag in it!! Our waiter Trevor walked by and we showed him but it seemed it wasn't a big deal. At the end of the day we felt we were cheated in a way! I came into Texas Roadhouse with high dreams and a low belly. I came during early dine and not only was my meal cheap my steak was PERFECT! Might I add brighton was the best server i've had at a restaurant ever. I was greeted with a radiant smile, a warm personality, and she was so attentive! Let me start w i LOVE tx roadhouse. however, since this location has opened i have been three time and either the service is off and it takes forever to get an item like more butter for my delicious bread or the waiter looks overworked. Service, was horrible. Took 2 hours, and got our drink late food late and only saw her 2 times and never again until it was time to check out. Then took 20 min to get checked out. Food was wrong for multiple people and over cooked on all steaks. Definitely won't go back to this one. read more

Parking is terrible, poor planning during development, should have known this would happen with location on side of freeway. Been there 3 time pick up orders, 1st time great 2nd and 3rd time terrible, order was wrong two times in a row. My meal was awesome so perfectly cooked, a slight delay in serving, but it WAS their first two weeks. I was there with a group celebrating a birthday. The line dancing, and cheers were unique and lots of fun.. Waa Hoo! The Parking lot is lackluster but workable.. this would not keep me away. PATIENCE Grasshopper! This place is terrible. We decided to try it because we heard the rolls were good. Five minutes after we put our name on the list they say their system went down. They start putting people on a list but not in the order that we came in. Everyone in the waiting room was upset that they had to wait while others that came in behind them got seated first. People in the waiting area said the same thing happened here last week. Worst hostesses, no manager came over to tell us all they lost their wait list and they would have to start over. I talked to the lady behind counter and she was the only who could put you on deck and then the little girl got an attitude because I was not satisfied with the response of only I can do it when she wasn't even at the counter when I received the text. Glad we did a call ahead. This place is always so crowded so we decided to pass our normal Saltgrass and figure it out. I don't know what the hype is. It's full of people. A party of six sat in a little booth, I don't know how they even have room to lift their arms to eat. We were comfortable at our table because we were at one of the tiny tables for two. Our server was excellent. The Michelob ultra beer on top was good and cold. The frozen margarita tasted like I would be very surprised if I got any tequila in that drink. I wouldn't order it again. My husband ordered me a second one and in many places if I had two margaritas, I would feel it that one. I swear there was no tequila. The fresh bread was so hot, You could barely open it to add butter, it tasted like my grandma's. I ordered a salad. It was OK nothing exciting. When my steak came, it looked like it may be touched the grill. The baked potato was tasteless and lukewarm as was the steak. I only ate half of it because it wasn't really warm enough to eat. My husband's medium steak was pretty pink inside but pretty charred on the outside. He ate one bite of his rice and put it in the dishes for them to pick up because he said it wasn't good. He said the green beans tasted right out of the cans, not fresh. We had the blooming onion, parts of it were a little overcooked and some of it tasted raw.
