On this occasion I tried this place "Cowboy Palace". I tried this place maybe a year or so ago and it wasn't that great. But I've heard from coworkers and friends recently that it's gotten better, so I wanted to give them a second chance. Upon entering I noticed that there is plenty of amount of room for seating. They happily take you to your seat. During the week I noticed they have daily specials, so I got the Chicken Fried Steak and it comes with a salad and another option and I chose the fries. The meal was delicious, cooked just right and a good portion for a midday meal. The service was excellent, brought the meal on a timely manner the drink was filled quickly. So if you haven't tried Cowboy Palace it's a great option if you are nearby.

The broccoli was bland. The shrimp was overcooked. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out well done. The kid at the table behind me screamed like she was being beaten. So why the 5*? Because I finished the steak and it was incredible. The juiciest, most tender and flavorful well done steak I've ever eaten. The shrimp had a really good unique flavor. A little salt made the broccoli edible. But the service was amazing! The 2 young men working were waiting on 5 other tables, refilling all the salt and pepper shakers and refilling the salad bar. They were pleasant and professional. I would come back just for the service. And besides, if the food was that messed up and still that good... imagine what it would be like when they get it right! Definitely coming here again when I'm back in town.

The Cowboy Palace is one of those old school restaurants lacking frills or modern decor. What you can expect here is a solid, hearty meal. We stopped in on a trip to San Antonio, and had breakfast for dinner. The cowboy ribeye steak with eggs was just slightly overcooked past medium rare but still a tasty piece of meat. Eggs were properly done over easy so the yolk was a smooth consistency. Accompanied by hash browns and Texas toast, it was a perfect choice for dinner. We also had the chicken fried steak, a huge portion smothered in white gravy and served with a loaded baked potato. Both entrees included a trip to the salad bar, a functional affair that had the basics including sliced beets. Again, it wasn't fancy but just good food. Service was fast so we didn't wait long for our food. If you're passing through Seguin, this is a good bet for a stop. Recommended.

So I went here last weekend for breakfast, I've heard so many good things about here, so let's try. We were seated quickly, and our server was friendly, kind, the food was sooo good. My French toast was I believe the best French toast, hands down! I wasn't a fan of the hash browns they were gross bland, and they probably could've been cooked a little longer. When I got my order, he said they didn't have syrup for my French toast. That was a bit upsetting. When I ordered, I felt he should've told me they didn't have any.. he offered me honey or sugar-free syrup. I ended up turning around and asking someone for some syrup. They atmosphere itself was ok, it wasn't amazing and nice but it was basic and blah but it's good was good and service was good so, I was ok with that. And lastly the price was great! Very affordable

First time here Unmarked building in a strip center. Tables were well used so not sure if it's always been the palace or not. Fries were phenomenal juju loved the cheese burger too Salad bar had the best lettuce on a salad bar ever! No wilted or brown nasty ice burg junk. All super green and fresh. Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans (My death row last meal) Was good, little better than average Apple pie Ehhh It was cold I should have asked for it to be heated Tres leches was good juju loved it Ample seating Kind waitress Reasonable prices I'd recommend you come try it.

The building outside and inside needs some work. BUT the food is delicious! The steak breakfast was a good choice. Lots of flavor! I definitely don't think any compliments would come from the food ! Service was a little rocky when we first arrived confusion with figuring out who our waiter was. But once it was figured out everything went well and was attentive. I do recommend this place for any meal time ! They have specials everyday to!

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a more polished atmosphere than I expected. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was excellent--friendly, attentive, and especially kind and accommodating with our kids throughout the entire meal. I originally wanted to order the barbacoa, but our plans changed when we tried modifying the kids' meals. We asked about adding picadillo to their bean and cheese tacos and substituting fruit for the rice and beans. We were told adding meat would be $4 per taco and fruit would be another $6, which would have more than doubled the price of the kids' meals. Rather than doing that, I ordered the one-pound fajitas with chicken and Wagyu beef so we'd have plenty of extra protein to share with the kids. The kitchen was pretty slow, but thankfully the chips were excellent and they kept them coming. The salsa was served warm with a nice amount of heat, and my oldest son absolutely loved it. In fact, the chips were apparently too good. Between the long wait and unlimited chips, my 7-year-old managed to eat enough of them that he eventually threw up. That's entirely on him--not the restaurant--but perhaps the strongest endorsement of the chips I can offer. My wife ordered the sangria swirl margarita and enjoyed it, although we were surprised by how few flavored margarita options were available. I went with a mezcal cocktail that was delicious, well balanced, and definitely wasn't shy on the alcohol. Once the fajitas finally arrived, they were excellent. The Wagyu beef came out medium rare exactly as requested, and both the beef and chicken were flavorful and well prepared. Ordering the larger portion also worked out nicely for sharing with the kids. Overall, we'd come back, although probably more readily for an adults-only dinner. The food, cocktails, atmosphere, and especially our waitress were all excellent, and the staff was genuinely kind to our children. The biggest drawback for a family meal was the lack of flexibility with the kids' menu. Some reasonably priced à la carte options or easier substitutions would make this a much better choice for families.

What I did not expect was for these tacos to show up looking like they'd been training for a strongman competition. These things are enormous. Not "big." Not "hefty." I'm talking full‑blown California‑burrito impersonators. Each one weighs about ten pounds and could double as a doorstop. I opened the bag and immediately understood why the Uber Eats driver looked spiritually exhausted. I ordered three: * Bacon, egg, cheese & potato * Sausage, egg & cheese * Bean & cheese The bacon one... listen. Something in there was giving "mystery smoke." I don't know if it was the bacon, the potatoes, or a ghost from a BBQ pit that refused to move on, but the flavor was doing its own side quest. Not awful -- just confusing enough that I paused mid‑bite like, "What exactly am I tasting right now." The sausage one was solid, no complaints, but the bean and cheese? That one was the star. Simple, authentic, comforting -- the Beyoncé of the order. Zero drama, zero surprises, just good. And the real MVP moment: they delivered to New Braunfels. From Seguin. Through Uber Eats. That's not delivery -- that's commitment. That's "we will cross county lines to make sure you're fed." Even though one taco wasn't my vibe, I'd absolutely order again -- just with a different lineup. When the tacos are this massive and the delivery radius is this heroic, you give them another shot.

Their brisket is divine and the sides we chose were out of this world. My husband loves their beans. The green beans were unique and I appreciated that they were super flavorful with tomatoes and delicious broth. The star of the show with the sides was the King Ranch Mac N Cheese!!!! I grew up on King Ranch Chicken Casserole as a child. So I was thrilled to have a macaroni with those delicious flavors. For a little history, that particular casserole emerged in the 1950s as a convenient, post-World War II Tex-Mex comfort food. Despite its name, it has no actual ties to Texas's famous King Ranch; instead, it is a creative, canned-soup-based casserole inspired by the Mexican dish chilaquiles. I am ususally underwhelmed by macaroni and cheese but this was the best. The macaroni shape was unusual and the closest I could find online was called "Radiator" because the similarity in shape to a radiator. It held the sauce perfectly though. You cannot try a wide variety of their dishes but it was enough for me. I had pick up at 10:30 and you just go to the back a bit of a wait like 10-15 minutes since they cut the meat to order. I got the brisket (2 lbs), pork ribs (2 lbs) , jalapeño sausage (1lb), and quart sizes of the corn pudding, tater tot dish, and hot cheeto mac and cheese. The stars were definitely the pork rib (super flavorful and tender), the brisket was fall apart tender, and the jalapeno sausage had a beautiful snap and is properly spicy. I was a bit disappointed with the sides. My favorite was probably the corn pudding but I still prefer a nice roasted corn OR a corn bread but this was a very unique combo of the two. The mac was okay and same with the tater tot side (honestly the potatoes were quite salty). The sauce isn't my favorite since I personally prefer a spicier sauce. The bread they have is very nice and the people are friendly. It's also quite smoky inside.
