Came to Willie's today because we wanted crawfish and we had our G-Baby so it was the perfect option because they have a patio. Parking is free, which is always good plus I love the service because everyone is always so nice and friendly. They even entertained my very talkative G-Baby and didn't get irritated. We shared the Crazy Cajun Ultimate Platter which includes 3lbs of crawfish, six shrimps, snow crab clusters, sausage, mushrooms, and onions for $50.99! We had the Hibiscus Margaritas, which were on sale for $3 all day. They were good, not weak but not strong. My G-baby had the chicken tenders kid's meal and he ate all of it, which is surprising because he always wastes our money when we go out so it's safe to say the chicken tenders were good! They also have a Rewards program, which I love because I normally get free queso and I LOVE QUESO! This is my favorite go to spot when I want some quick seafood and drinks. He had a full rack of ribs which was huge. I had fried catfish and shrimp, it was so crispy and fresh. Kiddos had mac and cheese and chicken tenders. Our bill was about 80 bucks! Went on a Sunday afternoon. They have good seating a ton of menu items - everyone will find something to order here. I decided to try the redfish tacos with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The fish was kinda dry and the tortilla was super dry and hard around the edges. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box - I forgot to ask if they were made from fresh potatoes or not because I typically don't eat them otherwise. To be fair, the server did come around and ask if everything was ok and I didn't say anything so that's totally on me. The mixed veggies were ok but they were doused in a butter sauce that I didn't care for but I know that's a personal preference. Always a fantastic experience at this location including food and service. Today my wife ordered 30+ pounds of crawfish. Tim the managing partner took and handled the order personally. Tim and his staff went above and beyond by individually packing the order by the pound for our distribution convenience, as well as providing extra seasoning and butter elevating the crawfish eating experience. He also helped load the product into the vehicle without hesitation (I could have done it alone but customer service was above and beyond). Not to mention all of this was ready to go at the exact time we requested not a minute later. Even the smiles and small talk from the women who ran my payment was very pleasant . 10/10 overall experience. read more

It's a good family friendly place, very affordable and decent quality food. That being said, I was annoyed with the set up. I don't get the point of waiting in line to order at a counter then sitting down at a table having to go over it again with the server. Either make the place counter service and let me order and pay or let me sit down and bring me a menu. Perhaps these hurtles in ordering are due to the COVID environment, but it was still annoying. The food itself is a great value. $12 for a decent burger and onion rings is hard to find these days, but for me I'm getting to the point in my life where I rather pay $15 and have it more my way (like being able to order it medium rather than well done). The chicken fried steak was also a great value. $11 for a big serving with two sides. However, most of the food just kind of lacked in flavor or the flavor was underwhelming. All of it is satisfying, but none of it was amazing. If you are looking to save money or feed a lot of mouths, put this place on your list. For me, I'm glad I gave it a try, but I probably won't bother coming back as it just doesn't fit my lifestyle. read more

This is my first time trying Willie's and I came with a friend who enjoys taking her family here. We got there around 11:15 am on a Saturday. The parking lot is spacious. You order at the counter then pick your own table and you'll pay the bill at the end of the meal. The kind server found us very quickly and grabbed a high chair for my toddler. The food came out pretty fast which is always a plus since we both had our toddlers with us. We ordered chicken tenders with fries for the kids, shared the Cheese Willie burger with sweet potato fries & garden salad with grilled chicken. Our kids really enjoyed their tenders & fries. The burger had great flavor & the salad had a refreshing and light dressing. The chicken in my salad was decent but I might opt for a different protein next time like the salmon. The dining area is very spacious with outdoor seating and a party room. I liked how there is a handwashing station and an arcade for kids to play too. I accidentally spilled a cup of water and the employees immediately took care of the mess and were so friendly about the accident! I really appreciated their kindness and hospitality! It was not crowded at all. I want some wings and to watch the ASTRO play game 5. I got wings. The wings were HUGE. They didn't they were pretty good but nothing to write home about. The sauces were just ok as well. Most lemon pepper sauces have a little critics zing but these didn't. The sauce that was suppose to be spicy was NOT spicy at all. I come to town once a quarter for work meetings. Was in the mood for chicken fried steak and been to live oak like 5 plus times so it's time for a change. Drove past and it looks fairly new and nice. Was amazed that you had to order at the counter and seat your self. The girl at the counter was great. I would have tried to hire her for my own business as she was that good. Got my glass for my pop. (Yes I'm from up north). Was sticky and ehhh. But it's 830 and I'm getting hangry. Sit down with my stick number and receipt and another gal pulls my receipt and goes and put the order in. Looking around it has a nice feel but this is dirty and that's dirty. And where's the straw for my cup?? Get my food and the steak is hot. The gravy is not even Luke warm but the steak warmed it up. Baked potato same way but has to 2 black eyes. Ok let's cut those out. Got an order of mashed potatoes and eh ya those are like wtf I take showers hotter than this food. I'm sitting there and the new waitress gal comes around and goes do you want your bill? No how about some hot gravy for the mashed potatoes and the onion rings I that's on my slip. Oh ok. Onion rings were 20 minutes late. Gravy was piss warm with a big ole clotted up something. Had to go and refill my Diet Coke since no one can think of that. She comes back with my check. How much of a tip do you leave for cold food and to a waitress that drops off your food? I mean really. Nice concept and I can see it being something but with the lack of leadership and babysitting and everything sticky dirty on the tables, glasses, he'll even the desert menu even all I can think of how I would spend 5-7 million different on another business venture.
