    Chipotle Chicken Wrap
    Carolyn C.

This locally owned business is pretty new and a bit hard to find, as they are in the center behind Jack-in-the-Box on Crabb River Rd. We have picked up takeout from WingEats twice now. The family owned business is very friendly, and the premises are bright and clean. The Chipotle Chicken sandwich is spicy and huge, with chicken breast that overhangs the brioche bun. Fries and onion rings are crispy and well seasoned. Chicken bowl is delicious with savory rice and sauce - one bowl will easily feed 2 people. Chipotle Chicken Wrap is delicious, and cubed chicken is accompanied by fresh lettuce and grilled onions. Flavors are on point, though some may find the chipotle chicken to be too spicy. Star was deducted because the wait was about 30 minutes even though order was placed hours in advance through Too Good To Go App, which (understandably) allows the business to prioritize regular customers over 2G2G customers. Also, as constructive criticism for the chef, the chicken was overcooked to the point of being tough and dry. However, the portions are very generous. Please give them a try!

Great food, no one knows it exists. Advertisement would go a long way to get more people.

We ain't in Queens anymore…read more For years, I've eaten on Shah's all around the borough, initially out in Ozone Park and Briarwood before finding a real audience in Sunnyside. Now that they've sufficiently blown up around NYC, I was a bit shocked (and excited) to see them finally come to H-Town. What's the verdict? It's good enough to pass muster for NY standards (#1), is open super late, and will likely be my go-to Halal food for the foreseeable future. Since I've only had it in cart form, I'm still a buggin over the fact it's become a franchise. It's similar to my shock of eating Halal Guys at a store for the first time. The digs feel as foreign (prices, large, clean and bright interior) as it does familiar (taste, logo, etc.). Even though I had a laugh seeing the wall photo-mural of a Shah's cart in Times Square, I did appreciate the nod to Ozone Park with the 121st & Liberty street signs. The chicken + lamb combo platter ($12) is and always will be the winner. The lamb had the same kind of seasoning that most Halal spots out here try to replicate but can never get right. The rice was fluffy, and the white sauce was easily the highlight. I can understand why they've decided to bottle it up and sell it as liquid gold. It makes every meal better. Kofta ($12) and chapli ($13) are rarely my favorites, but I knew I had both in platter form. The addition of adding chickpeas and these other salads is not something I'm used to from the carts (#2) but I loved the fact it was drowned in the white sauce with a dash of hot sauce. The latter is supposedly extremely hot, but I didn't find it that spicy. While I have to say the cheeseburger was a bit of a disappointment (overly bready, thin patty), the pakora chips and french fries were fabulous. They were perfectly seasoned, had a nice crisp, and frankly would be an excellent, gut-busting addition to any platter. I don't love the extra charge, but I hope they remain consistent with it. This store location in Westchase along Westheimer is an up and coming part of town. There are numerous Middle Eastern businesses in the adjacent area, along with an abundance of parking spots and a good amount of late night activity. Service was friendly but I do hope they keep their standards up. As time goes on, I'm 100% convinced this will be a destination for the many late night meal seekers and fans of NY nostaligia. __________ (#1) Which automatically supersedes a lot of the ones here in Houston. Just keeping it real. (#2) Is the chickpeas a Houston thing? Genuinely curious.

Excellent lamb over rice. Got a bogo offer on Uber eats, and decided to try it out after great yelp…read morereviews. Yelp was right. Flavorful, filling, and fresh. I got the white sauce on the lamb and the spicy red sauce on the side. Unfortunately after a few bites I put too much hot sauce on, which made it less enjoyable, but that was my fault. I'd order this again, very solid, reminded me of some of the best halal trucks in NYC. 5*.

The food was all fresh and flavorful with the meat cooked well. I also liked the ambiance. Prices are a bit on the pricier end but food was overall tasty with quality. We were greeted by a helpful employee who sat us down. Looking at the menu was like, wow, so many choices. Since it was still lunchtime, my friend ordered the lunch special. I ordered noodles, one pho for now and Singaporean Rice Noodles for later. I asked about a dish with pepper icon. He said it was medium spicy. I took precaution and skipped it. The rice noodles had a pepper icon and yeah, it was spicier than I expected. I loved my pho and the broth was mmm... mmm... good. Very delicious. My friend loved his spicy chicken lunch box. We shall be back soon.
