I dropped of a beautiful antique leather briefcase and they said they couldn't find it weeks after I dropped it off. HowTF do you lose a briefcase in a shoe shop? Then they said they thought it had been taken off premise. Then they stopper returning calls. Losing items seems to be a pattern for this place. Makes you wonder if they're not finding a more lucrative avenue to profit from their customers belongings other than the fee that they would get for repairing them and returning them to you.

I recently got these boots and they've now turned into my favorite pair. Over the holidays, I went to a bar and my heel got stuck in the vent. Not once but twice in the same night! Suffice to say, the heels were wrecked! I already knew I would need the bottom repaired but wasn't sure if anything could be done about the scuffs on the heel since I've never been able to have them repaired before. I usually take them to the cobbler on Olive, but after the reading the reviews for this location and people commenting on him restoring the part of the heel I needed, I decided to give them a shot. Upon walking in, I noticed it had a similar layout to the one in Creve Coeur except it's bigger. They have a ton of various items from boot inserts, shoe stretchers, polish, and etc. Craig came out and asked how he could help. I explained that these were my favorite pair of boots and asked about getting the heel fixed. He said he could take care of it no problem, but then took it a step further and mentioned how he could probably clean the heel up as well! I was excited and intrigued, especially since no one has ever been able to do it before. He quoted me at $25.00 (paid upfront), told me what the service would entail, gave me my receipt, and said I could pick it up Tuesday. So Tuesday came and I went to pick them up. When he handed them to me, I was in utter shock. Not only did he fix the heel BUT he managed to repair the leather on the heel and eliminate the scuffs, tears, and stains. I thanked him profusely because I was so happy with what he had done. Being the humble guy he is, he said it wasn't a big deal and insists he could have done a better job. Craig literally brought my boots back to life and did it in record time! Additionally, I have the utmost respect for him since he works alone! I can't wait to have him work on more heels and boots. I can't recommend him enough.

They took my $ and did not fix it & the cobbler…read moredid not do my shoes, the front desk guy did them wrong & then they wanted double pay to do the job: I took my shoes there for a tiny hole (half an eraser head size on sneaker fabric). I was told a patch would be ironed onto the inside and it would be permanently sealed shut to look new. They charged me $30 to do this with a black patch and said the shoe cobbler/specialist would do it, and we talked about him for a bit because he had done shoes of my family in the past well & had even sewn holes like this one before (but this one very small). My family and I had hoped to say hi to him while we were there but the front desk guy would not go get him to even let him know. When I picked up my shoes, I grabbed them and I walked to the car & immediately brought them back inside because I noticed a white patch inside poking thru the black shoe noticeably bunched up on the inside. I am not suree why but the hole was bigger than when I had dropped them off so it really showed thru. Not okay. These are expensive special edition shoes I can't replace. The guy at the front desk told me he did it himself and it would be fine and sealed permanent but if it bugged me to just color it with a permanent sharpie marker, but to go home and just try it out because it would be fine. When I got home, I tried on the shoes and the "permanent" patch came right off! Concept Shoe Repair had closed so I called the next business day. I was told I could bring it back to pay $30 more dollars to replace the patch they put on wrong & didn't work for them to redo it right! Otherwise, he said my only other options was that I could pay them $20 more dollars to buy a patch from them and fix it myself! I am NOT paying $50-60 total for a 1/4 inch hole to be patched (it was 1/8 big when I dropped my shoes with them) just to wait another week hoping this time it will be done right! I have taken lots of shoes to them in the past 12 plus years but their poor customer service just lost a loyal customer.

He put at least another 20 years of life into my leather coat! He also repaired the lining and replaced all the buttons! The value to me was getting to wear it in a new way.
