charged me $79 for an oil change they DIDNT complete. i checked the levels before and after i left…read more maybe they didn't reset it? nope. it was at 20% and now it's at 60%. so if it's a simple reset issue, that would not report it changed. also, ive never missed an oil change. i've been to many locations across the US over the years. i noticed that they also didn't bother to check the tires, the tread, the brakes, the cabin filter, the liquid levels, etc. when i asked about this, mechanic just said "oh we don't do any of that. we only change the oil." .....i wasn't born last night. i also work on my own cars down at my pops shop. i have NEVER encountered this. an oil change has ALWAYS meant at least checking levels, filters, tire pressure etc. and then they usually come tell you "hey your car needs a tire rotation" or "hey your filter needs replacing". then you're given then option to replace it now or schedule another time to have it replaced. not to mention, it's a great way for THEIR business to upsale anyways, plus it's an opportunity to educate your customer on their vehicles needs. most people like to take care of their cars. i've never had an oil change and then had to schedule an entirely different service just to have the tire pressure looked at........... i can't even believe im having to deal with this and explain. also, by the way, they charge $70+ to do ONLY the oil change (which they didn't even complete) which means they're charging people the SAME amount that every other auto shop charges and they don't even do the other 90% that the other shops do that are always included with this service. so you're paying the same amount to get 90% less work done on your car.......... that's greed. that's scum. a scam. and ripping innocent people off who don't know. so i'll be sure to educate and share this with everyone and im not stopping here. they lie, they overcharge, and they don't even do the work you're paying for.
