If I could give zero stars, I would. I made an appointment for my 7-year-old son using the Back-to-School special. When we arrived, we waited approximately 15 minutes past our scheduled appointment time before anyone called his name. When the hairstylist finally approached us, she took one look at my son and told us to take a seat and wait another moment. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, the front desk employee informed me that there had been a "scheduling mistake" and that the stylist did not specialize in boys' haircuts. This was particularly confusing because I had not even been asked what type of haircut my son wanted. I was then asked to wait another 15-20 minutes for a different stylist. Since we had already been waiting, I agreed. After another wait, the front desk employee came back and told me that we would need to reschedule because there was not a single stylist available who specialized in boys' haircuts. I have never encountered a situation like this, especially since there was nothing indicating that the Back-to-School special was intended for girls only. If certain services are limited by gender or hair type, that should be clearly communicated when appointments are being booked. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was spending approximately 45 minutes sitting there while the hairstylists and front desk employee repeatedly looked at my son and murmured to one another. As a parent, it was extremely uncomfortable and unsettling to watch, particularly when no one was communicating clearly with me about what was happening. Ultimately, we left without receiving the service we had scheduled. The entire experience was extremely frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of our time. Shay, a level 7 stylist, apparently has been working there for 15 years, needs to go back to school to listen to what the customer wants. Posted on their page- "Maintaining the integrity of our guests hair is our #1 priority." Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles... Let's be honest. I didn't get what I wanted. At all. Oh and- **I'm literally a walking advertisement of their brand!!! These pictures show why certain stylists (SHAY) need to take a few more classes. Hair is so important to men and women. We put so much time into our looks and our hair can either compliment us... or make us look worn out. I picked a special day, my daughter's birthday, to take time out of my almost 90 hour week to treat her and myself to what was supposed to be a fun experience for us. First, I changed my appointment to make it convenient for SHAY at willo salon and ended up not getting my hair done with my daughter on her birthday. A small sacrifice to pay, but I figure if it would help the salon or someone out, why not... but SHAY didn't listen to a damn word I said. She requested I showed her a picture of what I wanted. So I showed her a picture of a brunette with peek-a-boo blonde. Simple, right? Well, not for SHAY! SHE MADE ME A BLONDE. NOT ONLY DID SHE NOT DO WHAT THE PICTURE SHOWED, AT ALL, SHE'S CREATED A LOT MORE WORK FOR ME WITH UPKEEP. I went home and tried to like it. It didn't look bad, but it was 100% not what I wanted. Everyday, I got up to get ready for work and hated it. It was not what I asked for. Not even a week passed when I was calling to speak with a manager. After going back and forth, they were wanting me to come in so they could put dark over the blonde... I told them I DON'T HAVE TIME TO GO TO A SALON FOR HOURS, AGAIN! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR UPKEEP! I DIDN'T WANT UPKEEP!!!! BLONDE WILL LIGHTEN UP WITH DARKER COLOR PUT OVER IT! IT WILL NEED TO BE TOUCHED UP AND WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO KEEP PAYING FOR THEIR MISTAKE? Plus, the hair wash station here is most uncomfortable I have ever been in (AND I WAS LEFT THERE FOR OVER A HALF AN HOUR) After going back and forth about my schedule, what I didn't have time for, I was finally refunded $283 for the color. Just wait. It gets better. While she hardly spoke a word to me during the color application... I honestly don't know if she was not feeling good or having a really bad day... but when she cut my hair, THE CUT SHE GAVE ME WAS SO UNEVEN, it's embarrassing to wear down. I've been wearing it up so much (because more of the dark shows) that when I finally wore it down 2 weeks later, SOMEONE ELSE POINTED IT OUT (HOW FREAKIN EMBARRASSING, RIGHT?)! I contacted the salon again. Sent pictures of the sh*t job and after 3 more days... they said: Sorry, it's been more than 2 weeks. We think it's best you go somewhere else... Money was no object on my daughter's birthday. After an almost $700 salon trip (including a tip, which I was not stingy on) the least you could do is fix the cut since SHAY f*cked up both my color and cut. So, not only did I move my appointment for the convenience of SHAY and the salon, end up with color I didn't want lots of breakage, a botched haircut... and they aren't going to fix what SHAY screwed up. That is called stealing. Providing the INTEGRITY OF MY HAIR seems like it's only through certain stylists... NOT WORTH SHAY. **Thank you for f*cking up my hair. I guess I got a good haircut but at the price of their products the haircut better be good!. I did buy a bottle of shampoo for $178. The conditioner may be 179. On this particular day, I think my receipt read $1,104. 00 I should've just put everything back but I really wanted to try the shampoo. It was spectacular. It's called Invati advanced . It is my custom to always purchase something, where I visit. It is more a courtesy purchase than anything else. The products are good. My hair looks beautiful. ! The Vibe here is OK. It's one of those semi pretentious, places . Kind of pretty and kinda clean. But something is missing . I'm thinking about going to a new salon, but I am reluctant because I like Aveda Products. I guess I'm in transition right now. Also, Customer Service is pretty good as my hair was wrongly cut once and they took me right back and fixed it . When you walk in for an appointment, the receptionist is always polite and always offers you water or coffee . I am very receptive to decorum . So that is good .Another good thing that is good about this salon , is it's close to my home. Be extremely careful when purchasing products here as you cannot return them. I did this once. I spent over $1000 . They will only allow you store credit . When I did buy a 178 bottle of shampoo the first time. it did not lather. I don't know if it's made like that or what. I did buy a bottle for My Son and his shampoo did lather a bit , however! This was the Avanti shampoo I mentioned earlier. It is spectacular . It is an exfoliating shampoo for hair loss. This is probably why it's so expensive. Also, they have a handcream there. It's pretty darn good. . Beside that the mint shampoo for clarifying is awesome.. All the shampoos. I've tried. here are great. Aveda products focuses on natural ingredients . They will beautify and make your hair healthy. The girl I go to seems to be overly eager to get a tip. Lol! As I'm the best tipper in town probably. My fault of course! This is what happens when you over tip! . But it is how I show my appreciation to the service people.. Oh! there's also a Ola Plex type shampoo there that's pretty good. It's called Botanical Repair. Do not overuse the shampoo. As it will have the adverse effect once a week will do it. Yesterday I went to a cut and separated an appointment with a designer stylist, I am in the transition of my gray hair and it is not easy to achieve it so I wanted a cut that would help me make it easier for me, the stylist told me that she could not make me wicks because I have henna in my hair and I understood it and I know that it is true but I was hopeful that something could be done, so I told her to make a cut that would help me and see my hair better, so she decided to make me a hair Straight cut, no layers, no texture, no movement. I just brush my hair by giving it a little volume something that will be removed when I bathe. It's okay, I accept all this. But what really bothered me was the time to pay, I was charged $85 for a cut I can make myself just because she was a designer, if so because she didn't do anything different to me, I left my hair the same, the same cut I had, I only cut 2 or 3 centimeters. This room left me very disappointed and really if you want a REAL CHANGE I DON'T RECOMMENDE IT THEY MAKE THE SAME CUTS THAT YOU CAN MAKE IN ANY ROOM. I was robbed of very disappointing face. And when I claim the price they tell me that a designer did it to you if I had been a beginner it was $60. I don't recommend it read more

5 years Willo client LOST because of TRAUMATIC incident This is a story of why I will never step into this Willo in Roseville again because of the horribly unprofessional management team. This team here has: - lack of accountability - poor customer service skills - no empathy Summary: - the left my hair wet and poofy after sticking me with an literal intern to do my hair... - when I asked for a resonable request they said no at the time yet months later said yes!?! - obviously angry I requested something else and they said no and literally hung up the phone PART I - THE INCIDENT - I bought a Holiday deal for $250 gift card plus 5 complimentary blow-outs from Level 1-2 artists - the manager stuck me with an intern (not Level 1-2) for my first blow-out in January - the intern did a poor job - my hair was wet and poofy - I was left in tears (rare for me to cry in public but I needed my hair to look good for a business event) she ended up just straightening my hair and it was fine - the manager - Mya - saw this whole situation go down but was stone-faced/not empathetic at all - I asked if this blowout can not count (I had 5 on my punch card) she said no. (saying they already offered me to re-do the blow-out - this to me is a non-offer though because who has the time, wants to damage their hair + trust them to do that again. And she ends up just offering me a botanical mask for next time which I think is such a bad offer for the equivalent as they give this for free all the time if you follow their text alerts so I am not happy with this) PART II - THE WAITING - Months go by and the someone tells me that the Owner - Sarina - says that I can have an that first blowout "not count" - obviously this angers me more because why not give it to me at the time of the event when I first asked - at this point I don't even want to get a blow-out anymore from them as the first time was so bad and the customer service was horrendous PART III - THE FALL - I am directed to the district supervisor - Lorraine - who is also not empathetic at all about the situation and seems to have already made up her mind - I ask can I have something else instead of the 5 blow-outs of equivalent value because I certainly don't want to get a blow-out again she says no - I ask well is there anything else you can offer and she just keep saying no basically shrugging and being like "bitch, tough luck" to me - Idk how Lorraine became District Manager because she clearly has no customer service skills THE OWNER - - the entire time for months I tried getting in contact with the owner Sarina and they (front desk) kept taking my number and telling me she would call back later that day or week - she had NEVER called me - once I was fed-up trying to resolve the situation with them and I finally left a bad review on Google - Sarina finally popped her cowardly head up and responded to that Anyways... I never minded the haircuts here although I did seem some downgrade in quality over the years but this incident alone will have me never going back. The fact that they NEVER apologized for sticking me with an intern (even though its supposed to be a Level 1-2) artist who ended up doing a bad job is crazy to me and then also never offering anything GOOD to appease the situation is also ridiculous. TBH I'm not even mad at the intern but the MANAGEMENT TEAM who handled this situation soooo poorly. Also the front desk constantly lying to me for months telling me Sarina would call when she never did. Their entire attitude is giving rolled eyes, shrugged shoulders, "sucks to suck." They all seriously need to take some customer service training. If you can avoid this place - do there's a lot better salons out their with more bang for your buck. Just because they are a chain does not mean they have an integrity and AVEDA corporate will not help you either - yes I tried to call. read more
