I've been to high dollar/top rated salons and stylists who specialized in color and color correction. I've left those same salons/stylists crying with deep disappointment over their work and the state of my hair when they were "done". When I went to see Maddy, we had a consultation where she sat and talked with me about my past experiences. Without ego, she explained how we could lift my hair color, minimize damage, and still accomplish the blonde tone I was looking for. I took the risk and let me tell you, I am so grateful I did. She nailed the color with my first appointment, and I have never been happier with my hair. I've been back for root touch ups, and overhauls of my color. Maddy always suggests the best options for my hair health, keeps me informed of what's new with color options, and keeps my hair budget in mind. I've really learned to fully trust her; she's definitely my hair hero. The entire Salon is so cute, and they use great hair products. She removed my 22" sew-in Bellami Hair extensions and used a permanent dye for Chocolate Brown Hair. For the haircut I asked for Face-Framing Layers. I love the color and cut, just in time for Fall too! This is a kid-free salon, so daddy and daughter time for our 2 girls while I got pampered for 1.5 hours! Very open, clean and nice and relaxing inside! First time I've seen footstools at a hair washing station, aura mist for salon capes, complimentary fall drinks, yummy snacks and after your visit, bath salts to take home! I first started going to Marissa when she was located in Sacramento, and kept her as my stylist when she relocated to Roseville. I don't trust anyone else to touch my hair. Honestly. Marissa listens to how you'd like your hair to look (color and/or cut) and offers her professional opinion, if asked. Please ask. You may save yourself a lot of grief...lol. I've had some spur-of-the-moment hair color requests that I wanted Marissa to do. I'm grateful that she offered other options/choices for my hair. Thank you, Marissa. Remember, hair color frames your face, and if it's the wrong color next to your skin (even though you may LOVE it), it can affect the color of clothing you normally wear and your make-up, too. I learned the hard way, over 10 years, ago when a previous stylist highlighted my hair so heavily (per my request), that it looked gray instead of blonde. And my wedding was the next day. I then realized how important it is for a stylist to offer not only their professional opinion, but other color and style choices that complement you. I only wished that my previous stylist had given me her professional opinion. And last, but certainly not least, Marissa is a genuinely kind person. She makes every client feel welcomed. I just feel super comfortable sitting in her salon chair for a couple of hours, every eight weeks, as she makes my hair look beautiful...every single time.
