This is a review of the general store and marina area. We did not stay in the campground here. I've been following Twin Lakes Resort on social media for sometime now due to the epic community and mountain culture they've cultivated here over the years. It's a place with real roots. Families make traditions of coming here and I can see why. Many of the lakes in the Sierra are hard to access due to limited development and parking, but Twin Lakes has struck the right balance offering opportunities for day trippers and campers the like. Coming up from the valley below the lakes, I never imagined there'd be quite the lively "town center" we came upon. The general store is clearly a central gathering place where fish stories are swapped and visitors can stock up on basics, grab a bite or a bloody marry, and snag all the local intel and tackle they'll need to catch a big one in the waters directly across the street. Unlike the other small stores I visited, the staff here was GOLD! They were incredibly friendly, full of info, engaging and welcoming too! Our kids got to participate in a scavenger hunt and after finishing it got to choose rad prizes. The merchandise in the store is also AMAZING! I decided I'd buy a hat or shirt after I get my first big trout out of the lakes. They also offer boat rentals at the marina with everything from kayaks and SUP to larger pontoon boats. We had hoped to rent a pontoon for the day but got there a bit later in the day and missed out. Apparently you can reserve online (I must've missed the link when looking) and the rates are super reasonable (less than $300 for the day on a pontoon for up to 8). It kind of worked out because the wind kicked up and that would've likely ended our day on the water, but I'd love to do a half day starting in the morning! This isn't a secret of any kind, but it's somewhere more folks from the Reno area need to explore. read more

This is our second year staying at the resort and God willing, we'll be back next year! The cabins are quant and have nearly everything you need for your stay, just add Food. The entire Staff is amazing and always take care of your needs. If you need a peaceful getaway, make your reservatioan early, they book up very quickly for the summer! Love stopping here when we are in town and visiting this store and the fish! Went out on my Uncle's boat and caught 8 fish with the help from some powerbait recommendations from the employees. My kids absolutely love coming here and seeing everyone clean their fish, the little fish on the dock and playing on the playground. We tried the deli and got some salads for our dinner one night and it was really good! I like how it is fresh and can add different toppings to them. Will be back! read more

The resort offers a laundromat and showers that are open to the public. To raise the price of the washing machines so drastically is draconian. Was $3.00 a load, but raised to $5.00 (Why not a $1.00 ? ) This will be my last use of this facility and like the couple from Bridgeport who use this facility, we will now save our laundry for our trips to Gardnerville, Nevada where everything is priced reasonably. read more

It's a small family owned resort with cute cabins, some RV sites with hookups, some not, and tent camping. It's located on beautiful Lower Twin Lake outside of Bridgeport. We always rent the same cabin every year and you can't beat the view. Misty and her husband are great hosts. They run a small store on site and have a small deli with to die for Bloody Mary's! They rent boats for fishing & kayaks. The fishing is great because the lake is stocked. The view of the high Sierras, and the sound of the wind thru the pine trees rounds out the wonderfulness of this place. Highly recommend for a relaxing vacation. read more

The 5 star 5 diamond award kinda status should definitely be addressed as this place is far from a destination resort in my opinion. Paid 700$ for a cabin for 3 days that was far from the expectations I had for this resort! Arrived late for my reservation by a day and greeted by no one! Finally checked in to walk in to a cabin that was filled with dishes furniture and bed that belonged in a landfill. Made other arrangements and stayed elsewhere. I suggest if you want to enjoy your vacation exclude anything to do with this place. Oh ya they have a STRICT no refund policy on reservations I now know why!!As you can tell from the owners response this place reflects on how it's ran I'd stay at the Ritz Tahoe long before I ever graced the doorstep of this place again! read more

Tim and Misty as well as all their staff are super friendly and AWESOME folks!!! Cabins are comfy and clean, with everything you need to prep and cook meals if you desire. I am a fisherman and have rented boats at different lakes all over this country. I must say that the boat I rented here is TOP NOTCH! I've never rented a boat anywhere else that has a fishfinder onboard like there is here. And the boat was in great condition and clean when I hosted it. Twin Lakes Resort is a great base of operations for enjoying all the amazing things the Bridgeport, California area has to offer. There are so many things to do in this area from fishing and camping to hiking, biking, hunting, sightseeing and photography. Or you could literally just plop a chair down on the grass, under an Aspen tree at the resort, breathe in the fresh air and look at the lake or wait for the wild deer to wander through in the afternoon. The resort is very family oriented and is a great place to bring the kids. There is literally something for everyone here. The resort has several "primitive" cabins that are comfortable and clean as well and many RV and tent campsites. The store is fully stocked and the café serves up some great food and drink. I can highly recommend the pizza and Bloody Mary's! If you are just rolling through the area or just stopping through on a JMT trek, there are showers and a laundromat where you can clean up and wash your chonies! (make sure you get coins for the showers and laundry at the resort store) If you are into fishing, there are some lunkers out there in the lakes as well as Robinson Creek. The Twin Lakes Resort has a non-profit fund that they use to stock the lake and creek. So make sure you make a donation that will help them continue with this stocking program. And the highlight of the year for fishing is their yearly "Fish Fest" which is held the last weekend in July. They have a fishing derby with great payouts, a 50/50 drawing and a raffle with all sorts of awesome prizes. During the Fish Fest weekend, there are all sorts of things for the families and kids. They have jumpers and waterslides as well as live music during the day and "movie nights" on the lawn when it gets dark. So if you were looking for a great place to spend time in the eastern Sierra either alone or with your family, look no further than Twin Lakes Resort! read more

We stay at Robinson Creek every year and use the showers and general store at Twin Lakes Resort all the time. The store is clean and fully stocked, with a deli and great breakfast burritos! Last week, I went in and bought a pizza for our drive home. We were leaving late to get back to Vegas. I got the pizza, we packed up and drove to Bridgeport to dump our trailer and be on our way. We realized that my husband's wallet was missing. Drive back to our campsite and can't find it anywhere. Drove to the store and it had just closed. I found Jose in the laundry room and told him our situation. We met him and his son, Luis, back up at the store. They checked for our wallet and found it kept safely in a drawer with everything still intact. Thank you so much to both of them!!! They didn't have to chk for us after closing hours and we would've had to stay another night. I appreciated them so much! Can't wait to come back again next summer. read more

Had a wonderful time there! Pull trough Rv sites were amazing even get a shade. We rented a boat from the marina $90 for 6 hours (very responsible) BTW the boats only go about 5MPH so great for fishing and cruising around but not for water sports etc. The store is well stocked great hot springs nearby about 6 miles away 3 miles on a well maintained dirt road (buckeye hot springs) Saw tons of deer. Wifi was great, note Verizon and Att cell services does not work there. Overall a great trip will definitely be back soon read more

Quaint rustic cabin. Stayed there in October during the cold spell and the cabin kept us toasty warm. Marcie, Ron, Larry and staff were super friendly and helpful. Ron told us how to set up our rig for Kokanee salmon. Rented one of their boats and caught one! Also went hiking along Robinson creek in upper twin and saw salmon spawning and beautiful scenery. We camped at Twin Lakes Resorts twice. This year 2025 I reserved site 19 rv spot which would have been third year. We were in this RV spot 19 last year . It's a beautiful spot with nice lake view. But concrete pad and brick patio very poor condition with cracks and heaving bricks a concern as a trip hazard. I was willing to over look this because of views. When I got confirmation last year 2024 the owner Misty Sullivan asked if "there was anything that they could do to improve our site or stay at Twin Lake. I expressed concern about broken concrete and brick patio . I asked if there was anyway to replace or fix or improve site 19? No response. 6 months later I asked again . No response. I asked again in May 2025 and told her if nothing could be done maybe we could bring extra carpets to make easier walking or maybe we could consider another site. No response until I got cancellation notice and told not to ever come back . Accused me of complaining, hounding her too much and searching for trip lawsuit which of course was not the case. She then tells me that they don't own the land and forestry service had to do improvement which she did not explain before. Why didn't she response last year and simply explain this ? Misty Sullivan is a fairly new owner and clearly lacks basic customer service skills was very rude unprofessional and I had already planned not to return after this shocking experience. Very sad as we had annual family gatherings there which have been soured now !!! Very disappointed !!! read more

Getting there: This "resort" is in the middle of nowhere. After the town of Bridgeport, it's about a 30 minute drive to the RV site. Experience: It wasn't the prettiest RV site I've stayed at. The hook ups were really close to each other. It was really close to Twin lakes (right across the street), and they had a general store with seemingly anything you needed to get through your trip. Everyone there was pretty friendly and we even made friends with the local deers that came up to us every night. read more

Twin Lakes is a slice of heaven that everyone should go to at least once. I have been going for 40 years, and even though I have been to five of the seven continents in the world, Twin Lakes is my favorite place to go to and do whatever you want. One wonderful thing that occurred around 3-4 years ago is new owners came in for the Twin Lakes Resort. WOW!!! I had no idea how bad the Resort was before the new owners took over. Misti and her family have made incredible improvements at the Twin Lakes Resort. It all starts with Customer Service and Misti ensuring that everyone is satisfied and her staff is customer friendly. The grounds have improved, the store has improved (excellent addition with the deli!), the boat dock has improved, and their WIFI is better than most people's wifi at home! LOL We go to disconnect from the wired world, but it is there if needed. All I can say is 'Kudo's' to Misti and her family. They are making Twin Lakes Resort the place where memories are treasured forever. read more

The views are stunning, but beware that these RV sites are very primitive. They are right on the grass/dirt, but remarkably leveled! The hookups work great. There is a very small convenience store near the reception and that's about it. Come with supplies! The neighboring city is very small with limited supplies, so prices for standard groceries are rather high and choice is limited. The showers are not free! You need quarters and there is NO COIN CHANGE MACHINE on site! You need 12 quarters per shower, so you need to come prepared. If possible, use your own RV shower, as these bathroom are pretty rough and were not renovated in years :/ Yikes! There is a coin-operated laundry room, but again, no coin machine! There is absolutely no cell phone reception there, but they have complimentary WiFi. Beware it's a bear country, don't wander alone and hide all the food. Once you come prepared and aware of the limitations, it is an a-OK place. read more

We stayed in their RV campground, while there are some cabins to rent, the staff were very helpful, they even let us borrowed their electric heater when our furnace shot down, and it was snowing that time, the view is so pretty, surrounded with mountain, and just a minute walk to the lake, my only concern is the bathroom situation, only one toilet for women and men, shower cost $3., but overall we love to stay here again. read more

This was my first visit to twin lakes resort for myself, wife and daughter. The place is beautiful this time of year. We arrived early and were warmly welcomed and to our surprise allowed to go to the cabin. In our area you don't get things like this. The place was just what I wanted. Not a 5 star place or a place that serves fancy coffee to you while lounge by the lake. My family and I loved how things were simple yet gave enough comfort of home to give the perfect outdoor experience. The general store will run low at the end of the season but that's to be expected, so if you come towards the end of the season you might want to bring some items. I had two things I wanted to happen while we were there. The first was for my daughter to catch a fish and she did right away. It was so awesome to see her land her first eastern sierras rainbow trout. The second was for her to see at least one deer. Well she saw two in the first half hour of arriving. One actually came up to the window to look at her. Later in the day we had well over two dozen deer in the campground. It was so amazing to be sitting outside and out of nowhere you have deer running out of the mountain in front of you. We're already planning a trip back for next year. It was such a great weekend I think next year will have to be longer. If you truly want a place to get away to this is it. read more
