Fishing on Lower Twin Lake

This is our second year staying at the resort and God willing, we'll be back next year! The cabins are quant and have nearly everything you need for your stay, just add Food. The entire Staff is amazing and always take care of your needs. If you need a peaceful getaway, make your reservatioan early, they book up very quickly for the summer! Pack accordingly the weather seems to have a mind of its own!

Love stopping here when we are in town and visiting this store and the fish! Went out on my Uncle's boat and caught 8 fish with the help from some powerbait recommendations from the employees. My kids absolutely love coming here and seeing everyone clean their fish, the little fish on the dock and playing on the playground. We tried the deli and got some salads for our dinner one night and it was really good! I like how it is fresh and can add different toppings to them. Will be back!

Tim and Misty as well as all their staff are super friendly and AWESOME folks!!! Cabins are comfy and clean, with everything you need to prep and cook meals if you desire. I am a fisherman and have rented boats at different lakes all over this country. I must say that the boat I rented here is TOP NOTCH! I've never rented a boat anywhere else that has a fishfinder onboard like there is here. And the boat was in great condition and clean when I hosted it. If you rent a boat here, you will not be disappointed. Overall, 5 stars all the way around!

Twin Lakes Resort is a great base of operations for enjoying all the amazing things the Bridgeport, California area has to offer. There are so many things to do in this area from fishing and camping to hiking, biking, hunting, sightseeing and photography. Or you could literally just plop a chair down on the grass, under an Aspen tree at the resort, breathe in the fresh air and look at the lake or wait for the wild deer to wander through in the afternoon. The resort is very family oriented and is a great place to bring the kids. There is literally something for everyone here. The resort has several "primitive" cabins that are comfortable and clean as well and many RV and tent campsites. The store is fully stocked and the café serves up some great food and drink. I can highly recommend the pizza and Bloody Mary's! If you are just rolling through the area or just stopping through on a JMT trek, there are showers and a laundromat where you can clean up and wash your chonies! (make sure you get coins for the showers and laundry at the resort store) If you are into fishing, there are some lunkers out there in the lakes as well as Robinson Creek. The Twin Lakes Resort has a non-profit fund that they use to stock the lake and creek. So make sure you make a donation that will help them continue with this stocking program. And the highlight of the year for fishing is their yearly "Fish Fest" which is held the last weekend in July. They have a fishing derby with great payouts, a 50/50 drawing and a raffle with all sorts of awesome prizes. During the Fish Fest weekend, there are all sorts of things for the families and kids. They have jumpers and waterslides as well as live music during the day and "movie nights" on the lawn when it gets dark. So if you were looking for a great place to spend time in the eastern Sierra either alone or with your family, look no further than Twin Lakes Resort!

Stayed for a week in September of 2024. AMAZING! Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Love the store and the boat, kayak, and SUP rentals. Beautiful views. Clean campground. Friendly staff! Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful time there! Pull trough Rv sites were amazing even get a shade. We rented a boat from the marina $90 for 6 hours (very responsible) BTW the boats only go about 5MPH so great for fishing and cruising around but not for water sports etc. The store is well stocked great hot springs nearby about 6 miles away 3 miles on a well maintained dirt road (buckeye hot springs) Saw tons of deer. Wifi was great, note Verizon and Att cell services does not work there. Overall a great trip will definitely be back soon

Quaint rustic cabin. Stayed there in October during the cold spell and the cabin kept us toasty warm. Marcie, Ron, Larry and staff were super friendly and helpful. Ron told us how to set up our rig for Kokanee salmon. Rented one of their boats and caught one! Also went hiking along Robinson creek in upper twin and saw salmon spawning and beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend staying here. Lots to do and see! Also no TV so it forced hubby to get outdoors

The resort isn't monitoring this page for reservations. You need to either go to their website and book online, or give them a call at the phone number listed.

Hi there! Which tent sites are best? Please help us make the best choice possible. I'm sure all their sites are great.

Not sure because we stayed in our trailer. The whole area is beautiful though!

After staying for nine days we found out that you had to become an escapee's member and the cost was $49. To join for one year. The park refunded this in a free night credit. While staying here we met the park manager and took a tour after finding out they are a 55+ members park. After reviewing the park information and seeing what a beautiful park this was we decided to make this our home base. We travel to many places after retirement but found that we needed a place to hang out hat for Dr. appointments, and staying connected with our family in the Central Valley. We bought in and picked our site. The unique nature of living here is that the members here all volunteer to help keep cost down to run the park. This gave us a sense of ownership and community. We volunteer 3 days per week for approximately 4 hours per day and join in on special events to help set up or organize events that are for the members. It's not like having a job but more like going to hang out with folks that have the same interests. There is constantly an event going on weather you like to play cards, pool, dominoes, darts, working out , or outdoor activities like pickle ball or mini golf the fun is endless. This amazing place has beautiful views of the Sierra foothills and there's even a casino across the mountain. Becoming a member here has given us a place to call home in between our travels and our site remains ours when we're in the park. If you're thinking of becoming a full timer or if you're looking for a great place to glamp, this is the place!

I have lost sleep about writing this review. As a Yelp Elite, I try to focus on the positive but…read moreour Mono Vista RV Park experience left a bad taste in my mouth. First off, we are kind travelers. We are military. We are quiet. We park our RV and relax. In my summation, we are great people to have in an RV park. No pets. No kids. No drama. When we arrived at the park, we were assigned our numbers. We were traveling with our dear friends. As we were backing in, a man on a golf cart asked us, "Why are you up here?" I replied, "This is the spot the lady in the office gave us." He retorted something that was inaudible. We didn't just pick a spot, because if we had this wouldn't have been it. The next man drove up on a golf cart shaking his finger at us. The other man proceeded to say something about being in the ruts and to let the driver know to stay in the ruts. When we were set up, there was dog excrement in the area where we were going to eat. I asked the man on one of the golf carts if it was our responsibility to clean the area. We do not own dogs. He acted like I asked him to build a completely new RV park. He was impertinent and upset with my question. The people we were traveling with didn't have water in their RV. They had planned on using the showers and the bathrooms. Due to a maintenance issue, the bathrooms and showers did not work. I know this is not the park's fault. I feel, though, something should have been posted on the website to let the public know. We definitely would have made other arrangements. On the positive side, there are great pull-throughs when you first enter the park. If you are staying here, please try to request one of those. Mono Vista RV Park has the potential to be amazing. The location is wonderful - Yosemite, lakes abound to include Mono Lake, darling town. Fun ice cream shop. If rude customer service doesn't bother you, Mono Vista RV Park will suffice for your stay.
