Returned to this gem, this time with my grandson and his hearty teenage appetite. We sat in a casual dining room with booths and lovely decor. One of things I love about this place is the variety of dining settings. The lounge is cozy, the casual dining room perfect for families. But there's also a more formal dining room, complete with white tablecloths. We were greeted and seated immediately this time. Our waitress was amazingly friendly and attentive. The kid's Sprite was more like seltzer and she replaced it Lickety-split, with a smile, and returned a moment later to ensure he was satisfied. We ordered an appetizer of Buffalo Chicken Tenders, requesting both ranch and blue cheese. It was a large order that we didn't finish, despite ravenous appetites. Our mail dishes arrived in a timely fashion, despite the restaurant filling up quickly. I had the Fish & Chips while my grandson ordered the Pilgrim Dinner. We were both very pleased and the bottomless pit took half of his home, declining dessert. This diner is very particular about her cake slaw and rarely enjoys it. I must say that I nearly licked the container clean. Be more thing - the bill didn't break the bank. I enjoyed a cocktail, we shared an app and had two delicious, generous meals for $57 - Hard to beat these days!

We came here for Easter, what a regrettable experience. We ordered the stuffed sole. It was served to us cold, vegetables looked & tasted like they were over cooked. Waitress was sweet to bring it back to be re heated. It came back worse than before, now reheated, but in a puddle of very cold sauce, it was completely tasteless. We were so surprised this was served to us, it was not edible. From our experience, I don't think they had a chef preparing food, just someone reheating & plating food. Waitress was pretty great though.

We ended up at this restaurant as it was near Southwick's Zoo. Upon entering, we were kind of confused, there was an ice cream shop to the right (nobody behind it), a front desk in front with 2 rooms behind it with lots of empty tables (also no employees present), and to the left a small dining room with a ar (bartender and customers present). However, we waited in the lobby area as there was a sign that said "Please Wait to be Seated." It was probably about 5 minutes before someone came out from one of the two rooms to seat us and brought us back into those rooms. It was really nice in there actually, a totally different environment then the lobby portion. Our waitress was really sweet, and fast as was the food. And the food was all delicious, and HUGE portions, especially for the price! We ordered clam chowder, fried pickles, shrimp scampi, and chicken parmesan for two people, and we were stuffed with tons of leftovers!

a meal in a styrofoam container

I bought baked haddock , steak tips and pot roast tonight , the sweet potato was bigger than the haddock and was over cooked , the haddock was small and soggy, the tips were okay and also the pot roast, definitely lacking , must be the virus

The buffalo "chicken" tenders were more like pressed chicken. They certainly are not 100% chicken or even close. Very disappointing

I was in for the adventure!!! She contacted them ahead of time to get more details (they didn't have a Yelp page yet) and they advised to park across the street at the package store (was it a package store? I think it used to be Lynch's drugstore years ago? I'm not positive anymore). We parked and crossed the street. We weren't quite sure where to go and stopped at the front screen door to ask. They told us to follow around the side of the building to the back. We stepped into their back patio and were quickly in a relaxed atmosphere. The patio was set up beautifully with plenty of tables, umbrellas and lots and lots of plants!!! They came out and helped us pick a nice shaded spot to enjoy our meal. We were offered menus and the woman who seems to be the originator of this 'idea' (her name is fittingly Holly), sat down with us and told us how this venture is all run by volunteers and all the money raised goes towards funding the town of Uxbridge's annual Christmas Parade. She also explained to us (along with her marine biologist daughter) how they are trying to be as environmentally conscious as they can be. All the paper products were recyclable as well as the disposable eating utensils. They also made an extra effort to get canned water as to cut back on plastic. My friend got the chicken pot pie and I got the pastrami sandwich. We were quite pleased with our selections. They have a regular everyday menu and specials everyday. They have limited hours of Tuesday thru Friday from 11-3 pm. Go check them out, you'll enjoy a delicious meal, help a great cause and get to relax on their cute patio!!

Small but cozy eatery/drinkery in a residential neighborhood. No parking near the building, but…read morethere's an easy lot just around the corner. Lots of knock knacks on the walls, many related to beer and trains. Deep menu of comfort food made from scratch. Good draft beer list. -- Depot Burger: Their more ambitious of two regular menu burgers (they also have some as specials) was a visual treat in a pillowy Portuguese muffin. This provided a full size patty cooked to medium rare with juices trickling from the gentle, loosely packed beef. Full-coverage Vermont cheddar added silky richness, red onion jam added contrast, and tomato and arugula added vegetation. The star, at least visually, was the bacon: crisp, yet soft and bendable, with glorious color. Flavor was even better, with a deliciously strong cure. The whole package worked beautifully. One of the better burgers I've had this year for sure. -- Fries (a $2 add-on to the burger): A big stack, hand-cut (they also have hand-cut sweet potato fries), cooked just to the point of crispness while leaving a little droop and fluff. Nicely seasoned. -- Beer: I was thrilled to see a Hill Farmstead Double Nelson on the tap list. Smooth, strong, and delicious. -- Buffalo Wings: Looked and felt a little different, so I asked. Baked, then fried, yielding some charred crust on the outside and some tenderness within. Good wings, but with great sauces: the homemade Buffalo sauce had some serious kick, some complexity (little bits of unknown herbs), and some vinegar too. Homemade blue cheese thick and zesty. On Mondays, $1 each in batches of 6 or more, and with a guest flavor on top of their interesting fleet (ginger is next). -- Quahog: A well-rounded stuffed pile with bits of chorizo crispily mixed in, served with lemon wedge. It needed it for moisture, but a formidable offering that still satisfied. -- Caesar Salad: A large one with two well-layered hunks of Romaine, with a zippy (maybe mustard-infused) dressing and a dense coverage of crispy pancetta. Numerous homemade, dice-sized, well-seasoned croutons. No additional Parm and no anchovy pieces I could detect on their, but that dressing didn't let me down. A different kind of Caesar, but a very enjoyable one. -- Steak Tips: Had as an add-on to the salad, this provided a taste without committing to a full order. These don't make my steak tips pantheon (Champions, Tuckaway Tavern, New Bridge Cafe), but decent. Cooked a bit past the medium rare but still somewhat juicy. Nice flavor too, but subtle. I wouldn't get these again; too many better things on the menu. Service at the bar was cordial and attentive on both visits. Friendly staff all around. Not everything was perfect, but so much of it was (and no duds) that it's impossible not to drop a 5 based on the overall quality of every aspect.

We were seated by a window, and our prompt, pleasant and professional waitress arrived quickly. We ordered off their brunch menu: * Custom Flatbread with mushroom, caramelized onion, chicken sausage * Steak & Egg Pita with scrambled eggs, American cheese, shaved steak, mushrooms, caramelized onion, arugula, cheesy pita with a side of home fries. Our orders arrived about 15-20 minutes later. The Steak & Egg Pita was huge, even after bifurcating it. It was fantastic, one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. It would be difficult not to order this the next time we were here for brunch. The Flatbread as also very tasty. We were only able to eat one slice each, as the Steak & Egg Pita was so filling. Fortunately this Flatbread warms up nicely in a toaster oven. So, another tasty meal at Rail Trail Flatbread!
