The sweet, smoky flavor, mustardy goodness isn't something I've found done as well anywhere else. And the fish itself was cooked perfectly. They paired the fish with the heartiness of the harvest grain side dish you see pictured. It was a huge serving, and I ate the whole thing because it was amaaaazing. My waitress was lovely and efficient, and I also didn't feel rushed. What made it a four star experience rather than 5 stars for me was the ambiance. The music was horrible--like 1980's big hair band type music. It was such a bizarre contrast to the rest of the upscale ambiance, which looked & felt more like a steakhouse. To my chagrin, it wasn't just one "off" song either...the awful selections kept coming throughout the meal. The music gave it more of a dive bar vibe, and it was so completely offputting that I left sooner than I otherwise would have. It honestly gives me pause when I think about coming again. And that's a real shame because I'd like to bring others here to share the amazing eats. I may try it again on another day. But if the music is the same, I'll be walking right back out the door.

Parking is easy in the expansive lot and the location is great being close to downtown Bellingham. It was around 11 on a Friday but we didn't have any trouble getting a table for 5. This may be harder on the weekends. We were waiting on one more person and they were fine accommodating that for us. I ordered a hash omelet with wheat toast and home fries. The rest of the table had a variety of breakfast and lunch options. Once ordered the food came out quickly. The tea is also bottomless! My omelet was good but a little dry. I wish that they had cooled down the onions a little more. The corned beef was excellent though. Toast could have been a little toastier. The homefries were seasoned well but a bit on the burnt side. I like my potatoes crispy like that so it didn't bother me, but my grandma would have sent them back. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food as well. A breakfast for 5 came out to be $100 before. Which I felt was reasonable but a little pricier compared to other breakfast locations. Would I come back? Sure! I would just want to try some other options as their menu was expansive.

Four of us splitting them so one whipped feta cheese dip wasn't enough but we ordered another. My friend got the chicken parm which she really liked with the pesto pasta underneath. While a few of us split some pizzas. We got a large half and half of buffalo chicken and the primo pepperoni pizza. Then we wanted to try the sweet ricotta and vodka pizza special so we got a small. The special was so good!!!!!! Plus the other two are our favs so we knew they'd be good. Crust is yummy too. We also split the raspberry chocolate cake which was delicious. The inside of the restaurant definitely has a cool vibe and was a nice size. I do recommend making a reservation online in advance. At the end of the day I gave this spot a 3 only because the food was mediocre. I ordered a custom ricotta and pepperoni pizza and shared some fries. Both left me feeling disappointed (and I am not a picky pizza person, trust me).

I had the steak tips with mashed potatoes and squash which was very tasty. The tips were recommended by a friend of my wife and she wasn't wrong. WOW - delicious.
