I don't have any photos but I was told by my companion I need to give a review. We came on a Saturday evening and it was mostly full but seating was available right away. There is a good amount of parking even though it's on a small Main Street. The waitress was attentive to say that least. She actually kept coming over trying to get us to order even though we clearly were holding the menus reading them. After the 3rd time I let her know I have never been there so i needed more time. Unfortunately that did not follow into the rest of the experience. We got the app platter. It was ok. Everything was under seasoned. The marinara is sweet and tomato soup like. Mozz sticks were good. Potato skins which were actually sliced potatoes were decent. Pretzel sticks were fine. Cheese sauce was gritty. Chicken wings were ok. That's the word of the day ok and under seasoned. For mains we got chicken parm and famous Caesar chicken. The chicken was very well cooked but the sauce is the same marinara so it was only ok. For $22 I do think you could do better. The "famous" Caesar chicken was the same chicken but hot dressing and parm on top made it taste like fried fish with tartar sauce. I couldn't eat it at all but it is what it is stated to be. We got 2 sides with the Caesar and my friend chose Alfredo pasta and they counted that as the 2 sides and she added broccoli ($5 for plain steamed broccoli) the Alfredo was good. She got a soda as well that was never refilled. As a matter of fact we really didn't see our server again until she brought us a box for our food. Over all I would say this place is just missing the mark. It needs to season the food better. The servers need to leave people a minute to see the menu and then follow up throughout the meal. The food was not good. As soon as my meal landed on the table and I tasted it. I put it aside. Chic, broccoli, ziti - no flavor. Floating in a good inch of oil. I told the waitress it was a me thing bc I wasn't looking for a free meal. My date had the short ribs and baked potato. The potato looked like it had been sitting around for a few days cooked. Anyway - if you can't do it right don't do it. Clearly you have a clientele what are they eating? Stick to the things you can do well and reduce costs by eliminating the things you can't. Which will in turn help you dial in with better ingredients on the things you can do well! No need to even offer some of the more sophisticated items. Cute little place nestled in the back of the building. Modern rustic decor inside. Nice, clean environment. Love the signs in the bathroom about butts! Lots of choices on the menu. Friendly waitress who did a great job. We were a party of 6. The food came out in a timely manner for a busy Saturday night. The table started with buffalo chicken balls. I had never seen these on a menu and I love risotto balls so I was intrigued! I was a little let down because it was way too much buffalo! The Grille has gone "down hill" considerably since the hiring of a new chef. Many good entrees have been taken off the menu and nit replaced with anything. The specials are fair at best and often overpriced. I ordered a Rueben sandwich from the specials for 2X the amount of a Rueben at another smaller establishment and it was very disappointing. I also ordered another sandwich on their menu of specials to go & had them only hold the tomatoes, they held everything except lettuce n Russian dressing. So it was basically missing the parts that made it a special. The person who took the order repeated it back correctly so it was the kitchens error. I was told they would credit my debit account for the special, $18. The credit was only for $10. Not good customer service. Was a great restaurant, not so much anymore read more

I've lived a quarter mile from this restaurant for two years, and drive by at least twice a day. I've always assumed it's a dive, but I could not have been more wrong. The service was top notch, and the food was excellent. My wife and I split the Buffalo chicken risotto ball appetizer and it was to die for. She had a special for dinner - sausage and tortellini in a pesto cream sauce, which was delicious. I had fish and chips, and they were so crispy and plentiful. The fish was so hot - very clearly fresh. We each left full and extremely impressed. My two complaints: we should have started coming when we moved here two years ago, and my wife forgot her leftovers! We got two dinners, two alcoholic beverages, and an appetizer, all for $60. Give them a try if you're in town, but good luck finding a table! read more

I'm happy that this restaurant is so close for takeout right now! My favorite dish of theirs is their steak and cheese sandwich- perfectly season steak and not too greasy with delicious fries!! Consistently good food. Wednesday nights (unfortunately) are trivia nights and our last two visits happened to fall on this night. It gets VERY loud in the bar area.. Really the entire place as the host goes throughout the entire dining room. More appropriate for the bar IMO.. But whatever.. And he could lose the mic its unnecessary in such a small space! So we had 2 angry orchards (on draft, so delicious) gigantic delicious boneless buffalo wings to start, two side Caesars, and two entrees, which by the way.. are HUGE.. and our tab was $47. You can't beat the prices, which I believe have come down since they opened.. He had the chicken parm with rigatoni & I had meatballs sliders with these amazing potato wedges, hand cut and crispy delicious. The meatballs were about the size of my fist, there were three of them on perfectly toasted sesame brioche buns.. Both entrees were 9.99 I believe and we left more than enough for dinner the next night..! Service is always spotty, this night our server was especially busy and I think there were 3 servers in total between the dining room & bar. It's not a large space by any means but she was gone a long time in between courses. The upside with this is that courses came out at a decent pace, I had a feeling we would get everything all at once when our salads didn't show up for 30 minutes. After that the kitchen seemed to catch up. We arrived at 7:30 and left (restaurant was EMPTY) a little after 9:30. A little late for us for a 'school night' but I believe they were short staffed. Townie regulars in the bar can get annoying & loud but it is what it is. We don't come here on the weekends because if imagine it would be a shit show and dinner would be a four hour affair.. Stick to the bar and weeknight sand you'll be better off. We'll be back! read more

My experience was very good. The bar staff are awesome, drinks were great and I haven't had a bad meal yet. The seafood is awesome, the cuts of meat are good, but not stellar. The thing holding a 4th star is the prices. Everything is quite expensive. My suggestion to the owners, make the prices a bit more reasonable. This is pretty high for downtown Douglas! 15 minutes away at 88s is much more of a Boston feel, but lower prices. Bottom line I would recommend going. I've returned several times, just watch what I order to keep it a little more reasonable. Last note for the owner, a queen cut prime rib in this area should be $16.99 and not a penny more. read more

So disappointed, my husband and I went to get two orders and two apps to go. A young rude man that took our order over the phone kept yupping him to death and couldn't tell us our total over the phone. My husband went in to pick up our order and came back with disbelief on how he was treated by this young man. Half way home I opened up the calamari and realized my dinner was not in the bags, I called and the same young man put me on hold for a couple minutes and then told me they were making it now... We got home and ate, I got the chicken Marsala and he got the short rib. My chicken Marsala was about a 5 and my husband said his was about a 6. Stopped in to this joint off the main st in Douglas, while Doing some sales in the area to the local factory down the way. The Place is Clean and comfortable and we bellied up to the bar... Order two diet cokes and the daily special for $6.99 The Chicken Parm.. Or bartender was cute and friendly and we chatted with some local boozers.. Food came up quickly and was fresh and hot.. Large portion of Chicken and Pasta. It was amazing.. Chicken cheese and Sauce all melted together.. Chicken was moist and succulent.. I truly was thinking there was no way i would swallow this large amount of food.. Yet I could not stop stuffing my pie hole till it all vanished. . Tab for two came to under $20... eating in Boston as much as I do.. the pricing and quality was outstanding. I will be back. read more

My mother and I usually meet up for lunch in the Douglas area since it's halfway between each of our houses. Our usual place wasn't open for some reason, so we drove by the Grille on Main and decided to pop in. We got there around 2-3pm, and there was only 1 or 2 other people there. The hostess and the waitress were very nice and had us seated and with drinks very quickly. We noticed that the food was a bit pricey, so we settled on a chicken flatbread pizza to split between the two of us. The food came out within a short time and the pizza was fresh and absolutely delicious. I'm not sure of what the atmosphere is like here at night, or when it's busier, but it felt a bit "upscale" due to the prices and the uniforms that the waitresses were wearing. Not really our scene, as we prefer something a bit more laid back. However the food was yummy and the service was also great. Little disclaimer, we went here only a short time after The Grille opened, so it's very possible that things are a bit different now. However, I can say the important thing is, we left full and satisfied, and felt that the staff was very nice. We will be back to see how the place has grown, for sure! read more

Went last night for dinner with friends. One meal - shrimp with pasta - was undercooked; another, prime rib was overcooked. The hostess was gracious - she comped us with a free glass of wine. The service was also lackluster - had to request ketchup for French fries, olive oil and red wine vinegar came to the table late etc. On the plus side, nice atmosphere, they offer Guinness on tap (and can pour it reasonably well) and the chocolate lava cake dessert was excellent. Have been here two or three times previously and have gotten better meals. Not sure if the place is slipping and this is a trend or if the kitchen just had a bad night. We found this place by accident and were pleasantly surprised. The first thing I got there was a pizza with mashed potatoes and steak on it. Needless to say it was quite filling and pretty good, although it didn't make for great leftovers. Since then I've been with my wife multiple times and we enjoy the food. I like the chicken parm and she likes the turkey dinner. Now for some negatives: The service is hit or miss. Some waiters/waitresses are on top of their stuff and some aren't and instead choose to openly chit chat with other employees and neglect their customers. One time we went there to eat and there happened to be a live band playing. This place is more suited for a single acoustic performer, as an entire 5 piece band was blaring loud. There's also the occasional loud, obnoxious, drunk townie that you may have to deal with if you eat at the bar on a weeknight. That sounds like a lot of negatives, but I'm just being picky. We really do enjoy this place and it's one of our default eateries. read more

The food was really good. They have a diverse menu, which is good for the location (Douglas). The drinks were very weak. Service was absolutely awful. The place was busy, but not overly so for the staff that was on. The staff was more interested in socializing with each other instead of taking care of their tables. I also saw other patrons complaining about service. This place is a goldmine if it was running in all cylinders. Instead it is running at 50%. The people that were working except for the busboy, were not attentive at all. If they could fix the service and serve consistent drinks, I would recommend it. read more

I've tried to give this place a chance. It's cute and I wanted to like it, but I visited on 3 separate occasions in the past 6 months and they were all with the same result. The food is overpriced and way too salty. The service has never been good, even trying different days/times. You can't get a refill on your drinks because it takes so long to flag someone down even though they all seem to be standing around chatting. I never saw a manager, just a bunch of high school/college-age kids that seem to be untrained and apathetic. The restaurant is cute and clean, but not worth trying again. There are not enough words in Websters Dictionary to describe how amazing of an experience I had at this Restaurant some 18 hours ago. The ambiance, the cleanliness, the friendliness, the efficiency are just a few of them that come to mind. The staff was polite, attentive and just simply pleasant in general. My meal was delicious, and the plate presentation was second to none. The soda is a tad overpriced, however the nearly perfect mixture of syrup and carbonation makes it delightful and well worth it.
