A magical, beautiful, peaceful place. This weekend I went a visited this beautiful lavender farm. The feelings I had while visiting was just peaceful. The staff was so friendly. I got to enjoy a Raspberry Lavender iced tea sweetened with honey while walking around the grounds. The lavender wasn't ready to pick just yet but it will in a few weeks and I can't WAIT to go back. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

Oh, the smells! (most creative intro ever, right?) lavender sachets, lavender soap, lavender soap, lavender lotion, etc., etc. Fields of lavender surrounding the dreamy lavender cottage house were beautiful - note that Willowfield is open very seasonally, so check before making the trip. YUI (yelping under the influence) - be warned.

As I travel around Central Indiana during my retirement, I am always amazed when I find a cool local place that I've never visited. Such is the case with Willowfield Lavender Farm. Located between Mooresville and Greenwood, the 28 acre farm has four acres of lavender, a store, woodlands, and is frequently host to weddings/receptions/events on their grounds. The owners of the farm have a house built with recycled barn lumber next to the store. Tours of the house are included when you spend $5 for the tea sampling, lavender talk/Q&A, and field visit. If you aren't interested in the house tour or speech, you can wander the store or the grounds for free! There are several grassy trails through the woods and meadows. One of the trails leads back to an open area where there is a clearing in the woods that is often used for weddings and parties. The owners love southern France, specifically around Provence. The store features lavender products, postcards of lavender and France, and items like linens, honey, and anything else that caught their eye while overseas. The only negative is that the business, because it is so dependent upon the growing of the lavender, is only open to the public for the summer months, usually after Memorial Day. (You have to check their website to keep up with hours/events.) The lavender begins getting the purple color that most visitors want to see in late May through mid September. However, because it is harvested for the store (sachets are available for purchase), the visual effect may not be as spectacular on your visit. I had the misfortune of visiting the day after a harvesting, so the fields looked a bit picked over. Fortunately, my visit was free and because the location is so close, easy for me to make a return visit in a few weeks. Note that the 4 acres is a nice size, but if you don't have a concept of acreage, it won't look like the gigantic fields of lavender that you see in France. The owners have added other visual features to spruce up the property like a gazebo and an adult garden swing; plenty to still take pictures of. You can bring your own lunch and picnic on the grounds as long as the property isn't being rented for the day. Fun Fact: Several times a year they team up with Mallow Run Winery (only a few miles away) and host events with music on the grounds. Parking is limited to space on the grass along the driveway and in a neighboring field during the events. Review #921

The lavender farm is the best for weddings, concerts, walks, photo shoots, and has the best store with delicious lavender tea and soaps and lotions and art. Libbe (the owner) is the sweetest woman ever and is personable and really makes the whole farm such a magical experience. This place is its own little whimsical world, it feels like straight out of a movie and is so fun to go to for a picnic or to buy some wonderful products or just to look around and take in the sites and smells of the lavender and beautiful forest.

This place is a photographers DREAM! Absolutely beautiful scenery, every last inch of the property. The owners are not only extremely friendly, they are eager and happy to help and give advice of all the best spots for photos on their farm. It began to lightly shower towards the end of our shoot, and suddenly one of the owners appeared on his golf cart and offered to rescue us. Wonderful hospitality! Definitely a breath taking spot for a wedding!

Who knew such a quaint & cute lavender farm was tucked in Mooresville, Indiana. - and it comes complete with a beautiful hand-built cottage as a gift from husband to wife. It's the stuff movies are made of. ADORABLE. You can see how lavender is grown, and stock up on everything from sachets and soaps to essential oils. -- they make great presents! The venue is also available for weddings.

What a charming store. I tried a lavender and mint iced tea. The owner even took me on a tour of their beautiful home made from repurposed items. I bought a lavender plant and he gave me instructions on how to care for it. They have concerts in the summer, can't wait go to one.

    Great trip

This shop is located next to Zydeco's on Main in Mooresville. I've been wanting to check out this…read moreshop when we go to Zydeco's but we usually get here after they've closed but not tonight. The shop is adorable, and smells great, with hand-painted funiture, locally made wood decor, crafts, jewelry, clothing, signs, candles, pillows, dishware and more home decor. Something for most homes I would think. She sells a room spray, that sits on the counter, with different scents which can be used alone or you can mix them by simply spraying. I purchased two of them, Oven Baked Oatmeal Cookies and Starstruck, and have been using them together. They last quite a while and my house smells amazing without being overly strong. Check out the pictures posted to see a few of the items she has in her shop. The space is clean and very well organized with spacious isle ways. You'll find adorable home decor groupings and nice displays throughout plus several outfits on display. The clothing by Caroline's Bouquet and jewelry, Silver Dragonfly, is towards the back of the shop. The woman behind the counter, assuming the owner, was friendly and helpful. She answered questions and provided history about certain pieces we looked at. Great place! I'll make a point to visit again.

Just a wide variety of items. The general character of the shop is rural/comfortable living. The shop is located in the shopping center where the local cinema can be found. It faces SR67, but you have to enter at the light and then drive to your right to get here. Once you drive to the storefront, there is plenty of parking. The shop has a lot of room to grow. There was space at the back, and even in the middle of the shop, there is plenty of space between the aisles. There were two people working when I entered and they greeted me even though they were still working on arrangements. If you are looking for someplace new to get ideas for your home, why not stop by!
