In my experience, I did not feel the instruction was adequately adapted to my condition. During the period I was taking lessons, I developed back pain. I cannot determine the exact cause. However, this experience led me to further study golf biomechanics, injury prevention, and movement-based coaching. I later became a certified golf instructor and completed TPI-based body-swing assessment training. Through that education, I learned that effective instruction should consider a student's physical limitations before building a swing. After my initial review, the facility owner clarified that instructors teaching at Willows Run operate independently and are not part of an in-house lesson program. My brother-in-law and I played two rounds on July 29th and 30th. We played both courses back in the very early 2000's and they were immaculate then. When we played them recently we were seriously disappointed at the lack of upkeep of the courses and driving range. The driving range balls had to be the WORSE I've ever experienced. I'm talking about balls that dimples we worn down, chipped, cracked and dirty. The courses were full of unrepaired divots (I understand this is a public course) that could have been filled with seeded sand or just sand yet remained unrepaired by staff. There were beer cans and trash on the tee boxes which lacked trash receptacles. The porta-potties were almost overflowing (if I was a female I would have found a tree). The greens were tagged with numerous ball marks that should have been repaired. The site was packed with golfers paying to play so the cash flow should not be an issue. I would be ashamed to introduce this course to anyone! We played Jackson and Cedarcrest and what a difference! Willow's Run is in need of a severe cleanup! I would definitely avoid Willows Run. read more

Played Coyote Creek today and many things didn't go well. 1. 4 holes were soaked with water and mud (it was 84 and sunny today) 2. The dashboard screen was broken 3. The Marshall made us skip a hole because we weren't on pace (the group of head of us were walking...) Overall the Marshall today was rude and not friendly. No apology or anything and blamed us for not being on pace. Waiting on every hole and getting yelled at for it was not very nice. We played on 6/19/26 and the Marshall today should be checked on. read more

I am more than a little disappointed with the club. I started holding back in 2000 and golfed both of the 18 holes several times. Always had fun rounds on a clean well maintained golf course. I took a couple of decades off because of work and have only now started golfing again. I took my brother in law there, who is in town from Arizona (where they have lovely well maintained golf courses), and was very, VERY disappointed. One tee box has zero grass because of all of the divots. Divots in the fairways are not repaired, ball dimples on the greens aren't repaired (we spent half the time on the greens fixing dimples). Trash everywhere, heck if there were any trash cans around I would have picked it up, but in 18 holes in Coyote I saw one trash can, and it was only at the turn. Empty beer cans on a tee box. So very disappointing, spotted some of your money on fixing what used to be a great pair of courses. I'm sorry that I bought a membership before I saw the state of the courses, ooops on my part. But who would think that a once nice course could drop that far. read more

For the price, this course is great. Greens are perfect. Fairways are nicely groomed. Tee boxes could have cut shorter but okay. Both courses are worth it. If you're a senior, get the senior pass. Prices are great and cart prices aren't bad. Restaurant still has great choices for food and good beer prices. Service is awesome. read more

Been golfing 10 years an worst golf experience I had. Course was good, but the staff and operations were terrible. Arrived an hour early to hit ball, machine didn't dispense and talked to the pro shop about getting a refund or the bucket that I paid for. They said they would get the balls for me and after 40 minutes of waiting and talking about it they were unable to get them. As I walked back no one was working on getting any balls and seem to have forgotten about the two groups waiting. They told me to come back after my round to get a refund and they were closed. For paying $80 for a 5pm tee time, you should play Redmond Ridge. Better experience and better service. Other services were bad, this just highlight how they run things. read more

Great location and during months May-September course is great. Not for winter golf as it is very soggy as it's built on a marsh basically.

Ghetto course. Trash everywhere on the course in the parking lot gross. Other players playing loud music. Fairways are like swamps. If walking stay on cart path so you do not sink into the bayou. Greens are the slowest in the Western hemisphere. Balls plug in fairway and rough. Bring balls that are radioactive so you can find them in the fairway. read more

Super fun spot to do outdoor mini golf! Visited here during a trip to see family and get outside and have some fun together. This was a GREAT spot for mini golf! I LOVE that it's all outdoors and there's plenty of spacious holes so the game lasts a good amount of time. The outdoor holes are all very scenic and thoughtfully laid out. There's plenty of shade also, so perfect outdoor mini golf spot on a nice summer day! The staff here were very helpful and welcoming. I would DEFINITELY visit back here quite often. read more

Nothing enjoyable about this course. Played in middle of July with standing water in fairways while other fairways were like hitting off of sponge. Ruff was soggy and we sank into many mud holes. Balls came to rest against wads of mud. Greens were nice. Staff at front desk was not welcoming. More interested in talking to co-works than checking us in for our round. Maintenance crews had equipment in line with shots causing distractions. Smell of chemical / fertilizer caused headaches for some in the group. We have not played the course for two years and now remember why. Try a different course. read more

Enjoyed playing mini golf here this summer. It's nice that the course is mostly shaded so that you have relief from hot summer sun. I saw some posts about flooding on the course and I can't speak for that because we played in august, but things were fine then! It was easy to find parking and we didn't have a long wait to get started. In general, I don't have complaints and think it's a good option for mini golf in the summer. read more

As a past fan of Willows Run I am very disappointed in to what has happened to this once good track. Fairaways were polluted with some kinda fungus and bare spots, tee boxes are gross. greens were somewhat decent. Garbage cans were overflowing attracting bees. The kicker is the price they demand to play this place. Too bad because the potential to be a really good fun course as it was in the past is possible. But, the place is packed so I guess they don't care to improve? read more

Coyote in terrible shape yesterday. Can't find golf balls in high grass. Potholes everywhere. Worst shape I've seen it in all season.

Love the course!!!! But.... The WORST costumer service I have ever gotten at any golf course. I asked for a 9 hole rate and they stated they didn't do that. And I charged me 180$ for two people to play 9 holes with carts. Then I hurt my arm a few months later 2 holes in and they wouldn't even give me a bucket of balls and said I was out of luck. Like the others mentioned coyote was an absolute disaster with soggy fairways and the rough was so rough with pot holes good luck finding anything. For the price tag, no I would never go back here. I work too hard to give my money to a golf course that clearly does not care about their product. $97 for 18 and a cart was a joke. Did we have a great time? Absolutely. read more

The Good - Green fees are very reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful, this includes the pro shop, the starters, bar and restaurant staff. Greens are usually in pretty good shape, albeit many are full of ball marks from golfers to lazy to fix them. See more below. The Bad - Doesn't appear the owner wants to put any money into keeping the facilities up. Tee boxes are uneven and filled with divots. Fairways are very inconsistent with many areas having no grass, dry spots, over watered spots and areas filled with tire tracks and ruts from golf course equipment. Fairway grass is unevenly mowed. Golf cart paths are literally falling apart and deeply rutted in many places. Club does not encourage walking players to take sand bottles - which many times are not filled and set out in a prominent place for walkers. I've never heard the starter encourage players to sand fairway divots and fix ball marks on the numerous times I have played Willows this summer. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, driving range is closed until 10AM. Range balls are in terrible condition and looks like they haven't been replaced in years. Area set up to clean shoes and walking carts after a round is small, not cleaned up by staff - even infrequently during the day - and is hard to navigate through as staff parks golf carts right in front of this area. Compressed air shoe and cart blowers frequently aren't working. Appears no thought or care whatsoever has been put into this. The Ugly - litter is everywhere, the parking lot, around the clubhouse, on the courses. It's really an eyesore. read more

The employees are great but the superintendent is more often at work half drunk if not completely drunk. drives around like a nascar driver. practically running over his dog too. he's rude, driving right in front of golfers. he has been heard yelling at his employees for something they did. just not right to see someone who is supposed to hold a certain position at work drunk. does the owner know this about him? it makes me wonder. I don't enjoy playing there for this reason. I don't want to see the boss drunk while he's supposed to be a model to his employees. I hope the owner is aware of this issue as it is happening much more than it ever should. read more

I've been coming to this course for several years and usually enjoy playing early in the morning. The staff has always been great, but during a recent visit, I had a really disappointing experience with the new morning crew. Their customer service was poor, and they came across as rude and unprofessional. Honestly, they don't seem suited for a role that involves interacting with the public. A cute little spot for putt-putt with 18 holes -- the Rainbow Run Putt-Putt course is well-maintained and a ton of fun. It's the perfect afternoon activity. I love that the course is surrounded by nature and shaded with trees. We grabbed some drinks and carried them along the course. It wasn't too busy, but we definitely had people playing the holes on either side of us and that kept us moving through the course. I'd totally come back for a lazy Sunday afternoon activity! read more

Tried this course again yesterday - Again, regretted our decision. This place is so horribly managed that all of the golfers in my family simply refuse to play it even though they live close by. It is in terrible shape! All of the other courses we play are in top shape right now as the weather has been terrific. This course is just so poorly managed that it my be in the death spiral as the fairways are now so pitted and full of holes that it will likely need a complete regrade to get a perfectly hit ball to bounce straight. The tee boxes are so terrible that we stood in sand on EVERY tee shot! The entire course is brown, the grass clippings are left like trash all over, and the fairways are a joke! The greens were acceptable and rolled pretty nicely, as long you don't mind a few ice cream cone shaped greens with the holes placed on the downhill. In their defense, the greens fees were discounted by 15%. However, it is still not worth your time as there are several more favorable courses nearby in the same price range. Oh well... won't try it again for another few years and maybe it will have new management and regraded fairways by then. read more

My spouse had the fun idea to take our two kids to the Rainbow Run Putt-Putt course at this golf course. Unfortunately, we picked one of the hottest days so far, so we were sweating a bit, but loved that part of this course is shaded by many trees. The course itself is family-friendly, and very fun overall. It definitely is reminiscent of those found at family fun centers, but it felt more legit. It was very scenic, and there were lots of geese to look at as well. The flow was a little slow, but we did go on a weekend so it's to be expected. All in all, it took us about an hour from beginning to finish. What I really loved about this course was that the office was close by, so when my toddler had to take potty breaks it didn't take forever and a day to reach the bathrooms and meet back up with the rest of our party. This office also had a concession stand and beverage station which included both kid's and adult beverages. All in all, I would definitely be back. I'm looking forward to honing my Putt-Putt skills in the future! read more

If I could give it a ZERO I would. I played the Coyote course yesterday. It was beyond Coyote ugly - whatever that is. Over the years I've played both courses at Willows Run, which is in the 'downtown' of Microsoft and other Tech players. The course and all aspects of it are in the worst condition that I have ever seen. It is just bad from Tee to Green and all points in between. The whole course is 'ground under repair.' Played Coyote Creek twice this week for the first time in years and enjoyed it. However, the golf etiquette on the greens is seriously lacking; why don't players repair their ball marks here?? Bellevue's greens don't have this problem. And then on the 9th tee box, there's a great sign which explains how much use the course gets and why it's important to repair your ball marks; some idiot whipped out their Sharpie and added "Repair your golf course" as though it's OK to leave the greens looking like the moon. The 9th green was the worst. C'mon people, repair your ball marks and make the game more enjoyable for all; it's common courtesy, good etiquette and helps the grounds staff; it also minimizes the number of times the greens will need repairs and closures...) And if you see one or more marks while waiting for your turn to putt or for your partners to finish, repair someone else's marks also. It's not that hard (but please learn how to do it correctly also....) read more

Kind of telling that the 5 star reviews are for the putt-putt course. My reason for never returning to this course was the attitude of the snotty clubhouse staff. It's like they're doing you a favor for letting them play their high-end course as opposed to being there to provide service for which you're paying higher than average greens fees in the area. read more

I went to willow run on march 14th 2025 and I haven't golfed in 3 years since my Father died. I understand tee times. I asked if i could link up with a group of 2 or 3 people if they would allow it. I told him this is the last place my Dad and I ever golfed and on this day. The pro shop guy was rude and said I won't let a single out on the golf course tying up my carts, and we don't match up people, which is untrue because I have been forced to play with people here before. I asked for a tee time later and he just said no. All I ask is for a little kindness and common decency. read more

I stayed away from this golf course for many years, but recently came back for a couple rounds since my friends wanted to. And now I remember why I refused to come here for so many years. Standing water everywhere, even on the greens. Has barely rained in the past weeks/month. Overcrowded. People everywhere. Sprinklers going off on every other hole while playing. And the nonstop mowers and blowers on every hole. No warning ahead of time. We played 12 straight holes today where the greens keeping crew kept following us. No etiquette or courtesy to let us play through. The worst part was having to interact with the management at the club. We spoke to their manager Jack who acted like a smug POS. He treated us like we were unreasonably complaining. The round cost $110 a person. Don't think it's unreasonable to expect the grounds crew to leave the players alone for a few holes. Come here at your own risk. It's not cheap. A bunch of players outside the club also warned us about the behavior of the workers and the management here. read more

So much potential! Seems to have gone downhill with the ownership change. I love that there are two golf courses. The restrooms both in the clubhouse and the turn shack are deplorable doors falling off, dirty and smelly. Seems that they could mow down the rough better as the area is so wet that it makes it hard to enjoy the game when you lose so many balls in it. I hope they figure it out. They have a gem on their hands if they could just take care of a very small number of problems that make a big impact on my impression of the course read more

This course used to be great but that is no longer the case. Fairways, tee boxes and greens are in terrible condition. Random irrigation issues create unintended obstacles and the carts are so slow it slows the game down. Not returning. Do better. read more

Played the short 9 par 3 course at Willows Run last Sunday. The course condition (minus the greens) left a lot to be desired. The tee boxes were torn up. Uneven lies with very little grass on the tee boxes. Mole hills all over the walk from the tees to greens. The only decent areas on the course were the greens. They rolled true. At $16 on the weekend, what can you expect? read more

I get it. Willows get a lot of play and is not perfect but is usually well maintained. Yesterday Coyote Creek was really sub par. Someone needs to get a handle on the over watering of the fairways which in most if not all cases where oversaturated and unplayable in numerous spots. Willows is my golf home, or maybe my home course, such as it is. it's the closest public course to my home, and I get out here frequently throughout the year to chase the little white ball around. Unfortunately, that ball often has a mind of it's own, refusing to go into it's home in the cup. Channeling Happy Gilmore: "Why you don't you just go HOME? That's your HOME! Are you too good for your HOME? ANSWER ME!" With two 18 hole courses, par 3 course, instruction, driving range and two short game practice areas, it has everything you need to work on your game. The courses themselves can be challenging with water and hazards bordering many of the holes. Eagle's Talon stretches to 6800 yards from the tips, with Coyote Creek at 6344. Aptly named, you will frequently see a coyote crossing the fairway, or lingering near a tee box. It's located in the Sammamish valley, meaning it's low, which also means it's often wet, with standing water in the winter months. As it's also close to home for lots of other eastside golfers, Willows gets a lot of play. It's very popular for tournaments during the summer months, and the course is frequently booked for those events. That leads to one of the downsides of the course, which is that the fairways and greens often show some damage and wear. Built in 1993 and expanded to 36 holes in 1997, Willows is the last public course built on the eastside, and with the price of real estate around here, it's likely to be the last public course built as well. The staff is friendly and there is a small golf shop on site. The restaurant is fine, with your normal salads, sandwiches and burgers. The service is terrific and the beer is cold, so what more do you need? read more

Best public course to play in the Bel-Red area! The new management is doing an amazing job out here the conditions are perfect at the moment. Love this track and between the two 18-hole courses, par 3 course, and putt putt there's something for any one with a golf interest. In my opinion you get better conditions and a better track than even New Castle for half the price. Only knock is slow play since they cut the rough, but I haven't found many tracks without that issue in this area due to the demand for golf. read more

Very disappointed with the conditions of this course for the money they charge. The course has been poorly maintained..not mowed, overgrown and unattractive, bunkers filled with pea gravel vs. sand. This was the worst golf experience I've had in YEARS. I understand we are in a pandemic and all but the course was closed for 5 weeks in April and the course is in the worst shape I've seen it in, ever. All of the other courses around took the time off to actually work on the course, tee boxes cleaned up greens cut and filled, not this place. Absolutely horrible conditions. It's embarrassing it's in the shape it's in. The superintendent and ferns keepers should be replaced with people who care. That's it for the course Now onto the really bad part We had a 3:44 time on eagles talon. We teed off at 4:20 and finished up at 9:20. If you want to wait for 1/2 hour to tee off, play an absolute dog shit track of a course in 5 hours for 65 bucks then this is your place. I'll never be back to willow run. Ever. read more
