This was the worst golf experience I've had in YEARS. I understand we are in a pandemic and all but the course was closed for 5 weeks in April and the course is in the worst shape I've seen it in, ever. All of the other courses around took the time off to actually work on the course, tee boxes cleaned up greens cut and filled, not this place. Absolutely horrible conditions. It's embarrassing it's in the shape it's in. The superintendent and ferns keepers should be replaced with people who care. That's it for the course Now onto the really bad part We had a 3:44 time on eagles talon. We teed off at 4:20 and finished up at 9:20. If you want to wait for 1/2 hour to tee off, play an absolute dog shit track of a course in 5 hours for 65 bucks then this is your place. I'll never be back to willow run. Ever. read more

This is by far the most disappointing course/s i have played in a very long time. i was charged normal summer walking rate for it and the course was in such bad shape. They had just sanded the greens, its over watered (Soft, boggy, puddles) in some areas while others the grass is baked out and dead. The tee boxes and fairways are terrible with some areas looking more like a construction site than a golf course. Its August for god sake! Most Muni's are in much better shape and charge a fraction of the price!... so i will not be going back here for a while, if ever! ... so disappointed! read more

Willows Run Golf Club - Golf Near Me - Redmond, Washington

Really like this golf complex. Been going since it was a kid. Both courses are fun to play. I would say eagles talon drains better than coyote creek. Driving range is solid. Food is good. The yearly membership and winter cards are both really good deals. They keep their greens covered during the bad season so they are always in decent shape. They have made improvements recently with the new ownership but more are needed. Especially the tee boxes. Many of them need some work. Overall I recommend for any level of golfer. For the par three course I know it's not a money maker, but it needs serious work for it to be enjoyable. read more

I feel bad for reviewing during coronavirus because I should have had my expectations lower to start. The course today was in terrible shape. I kept losing my ball in the fairway (which looked like light rough), and lost so many balls in the light rough (which was a forest). Paying premium full price for a course that didn't even try to keep the course in playable conditions seems like the management worked in corporate finance his/her entire career. I get you have to cut quite a bit of spend because you won't get enough business at this time, but atleast spend on the grass mower rather than the 4 hot dog vendors. Giving 2 stars because I am giving the benefit of doubt, since we are in a pandemic. I grew up in the area and have played Willows at least a couple of dozen times over the years. I kept coming back because of the convenient location. Greens/ fairway/ 2nd cut - Not well-cut or consistent. It's super easy to lose your ball if you hit it even 5 yards off the fairway or get a bad hop. No water coolers?? I understand the need to remove water stations in the coronavirus world we live in today. But before Covid, during the hot Summer months, there were no drinking stations or water coolers on either of the two courses. For an $80 round I expect a few hydration stations. 5 hour rounds - Golf during primetime and you're almost guaranteed a slow round and waiting on every hole. Two things Willows has going for itself: Good location and good practice area (putting, chipping, bunker). read more

This place continues to go downhill where the physical course quality is minimally maintained and service is subpar. I think the only decent part of this operation is the restaurant. Today's experience is probably the last straw where the Marshall on the field allowed and tolerated six people to play together ahead of us. This slowed down the game and after 5 hours we still had two holes to go! I filed a complaint with the pro shop and while they looked surprised had nothing to say. It's sad that this place has turned into this low quality place. read more

This course has gone terribly downhill since YUKI SASADA came in and RUINED EVERYTHING. the balls haven't been replaced in years, the food and beverage (when you can find any) is cold, disgusting and barely nuked in the microwave. I would bet anything their kitchen is gross and covered in caked on grease and mold. sasada spends all the money on trying to show off owning a golf course, rather than taking care of the beautiful green and the landscape that others built before him. what a sad, sorry excuse of a disappointment. read more

Played Coyote Creek on Saturday, the course was in pretty good shape for just receiving a heavy amount of rain the day before. I can remember when the water just sat on the course for days after heavy rain. However, that is the best I can say. It looked like the bathrooms haven't seen cleaning cloth in months, the porta johns on the course haven't been emptied in months and so dirty, and the amendities are so run down and shabby. This use to be a very nice course to play and hangout afterwards, not so today. You'd think for the price the club is charging for green fees and a cart this would be a 4/5 star course for the area. There are so many other courses in the area that charge less and all around in much better condition. read more

Playing a nice round and was bombarded twice by the course Marshall asking us to hurry. NOT WEARING A MASK..the second time came right up to our cart... We were a hole behind the group in front of us but we were not holding up players, as the group behind us was a hole behind us! We pointed that out to him and he said he warned them also, of course, we checked with that group of all men and he said nothing to them...There were 2 women in our foursome. We complained especially about the no mask wearing,, NOT good place to play. read more

This review is for the Willows Run Miniature Golf Course - which we really have enjoyed. It's located at the far North end of the parking lot. The course is best suited for children 5+, but that doesn't mean we didn't try with our two little guys! We were invited here for a birthday party with our 3 and 4 year olds. They both had fun, but had a bit of trouble mastering the concept. Our 3 yr daughter was using the golf club to hit the ball like she was playing croquet and our 4 yr old son constantly using the club like it was a hockey stick ... nevertheless - they had fun. We've been here on our own while we were dating and had a good laugh. It's a pretty cute course. On the first hole you WANT to hit the ball into the water - as the course builders created a fun little secret ball run that catches the ball as it goes over the little water fall and into a hole that practically delivers the ball right into the hole! There are other holes on the course where you can knock the ball into a tunnels that deliver the ball closer to the hole as well, but will let you figure out where those are on the course! There's a fun cave complete with animal noises, animal tracks worked into the foot path, water hazards and all kinds of landscaping. All in all - a fun little place for dates, or friends to kill time. It's not too expensive and the course is pretty wheel chair and stroller friendly. Lots of opportunity for fun friendly completion. There's even a sports bar where you can grab a bite to eat afterwards and have a few drinks. read more

Employees are outstanding they provide great customer service, the pro shop employees are great. The new owner however does not keep the golf course up. Played this course on a Friday mid-afternoon. Pace of play was surprisingly good and the weather held out too. For a woman I enjoy the layout of Coyote, but it is not in good shape for the most part. Why can't they pick up the dry grass clippings. With carts it was $190 for our threesome. That's just too much for this course. Next is the clubhouse. What a pit! So filthy everywhere. One would think they would be back to some sort of normal service but they are not. Food comes out at different times in boxes and it was pretty awful. They used to have such good food an ambiance on the deck. Will not eat there again and likely won't play there again until conditions improve. But then again they probably don't care. So on a Friday morning my daughter and I showed up at 9:30 at Heron Links to play 9 hole and were told the first available tee time for 2 people was 10:40. We saw single people and groups of 2 people take their tee times as we waited. Little did we know we were group with 2 other strangers, who turned out to be total a holes btw, and we had to play through. I call the people at the clubhousr and they did not care, said it was standard practice and dismissed us. Given how expensive this course is, yet how poorly itis maintained and how bad the service is, go elsewhere. DO NOT PLAY GOLF HERE as it will be hazardous to your mental sanity. read more

My friend and I signed up weeks ago for the womens golf clinic using the form we got at Willows and turned it back in in person and never heard anything back. Each time we try and call we either get a voicemail or someone who says that we will get a call back and we never do. I play Willows almost every week during the summer with a large group. The staff is excellent. I like the courses, but some things could be improved. First the tee boxes. Tee boxes should be level. It is frequently almost impossible to find a tee spot where the ball and feet are on the same plane. Also, on the par 3's, there frequently isn't any grass left. Please build some new and level tee boxes and fix the existing ones. Second, sand traps should have sand in them. Not packed whatever it is in the bunkers. Real white sand would make a serious improvement to both the course play and the aesthetics of the course. Food and Beverages gets 5 stars. Kathi runs a great crew. The staff is friendly and works very hard. Love the gals in the snack shack. Friendly and hustle to keep us moving on the course. So course gets 2.5 stars. Staff gets 5 stars. Food and beverage gets 5 stars. So a four overall. read more

I've been going here for years and last week might be my final time. I'm fed up with paying nearly 60 dollars for a less than mediocre experience. First let's talk about the horrendous conditions of the course. Multiple tee boxes were either destroyed or just completely unplayable. I'd say over half of the tee boxes on Eagle's had an issue. The rough was way too long and overgrown for a public course. This isn't Torrey Pines. You're allowed to make it enjoyable to hit out of the rough. There were multiple holes that had standing water in the middle of the fairway. At one point there was a guy just shoveling water out of the fairway drain. He didn't even try getting out of the way while we hit. Lastly, there were mowers parked in the middle of the fairways for 3 holes. There was no regard to the folks trying to tee off. Why are you mowing at noon on a Monday? Shouldn't this be something you do at 4 or 5am? Now let's talk about the slow, oblivious group ahead of us. We caught up to them in 4 holes and there was NO ONE in front of them. They didn't even try to let us play through. It made for a 5 and a half hour round. Where was the marshall? I'm not sure how you guys can keep getting away running a course given how it's constantly being poorly maintained. The only reason I truly went last week is because every other course had very limited tee times. Now it's obvious why Eagle's had so many available tee times. I'd rather just stay home next time. read more

I typically enjoy playing at Willows Coyote Creek and have found the staff to be courteous and personable. Unfortunately that was not the case this past Friday afternoon! TONY the starter was nothing but rude, condescending and patronizing to me. I won't get into detail here, but needless to say, I have brought up my concerns with management. Willows Run is one of the best golf courses on the Eastside, if not all of Seattle area. There's a choice of several choices, including a short 9-hole, and two longer 18-holes, Coyote Creek and the more challenging Eagle Talon. What I love about Willows Run is their electronic "smart" golf carts, which shows exact distances to the hole, as well as a visual layout of each hole. Each course has 3 tee boxes so you can choose your level of difficulty and distance. Beverage/snack carts do roam the course, though mostly on weekends. The snack shack is just as it sounds: don't expect gourmet fare, but it suffices for drinks, hot dogs, and chips. read more

I've been a member of willows for 5+ years, but the owner just does not run good customer service. Recently, my golf bag fell off my cart due to a defective strap on hole 2 and broke my driver in half. (cart strap would not clasp correctly, even when latched). I called the marshall out, he inspected, agreed, and switched carts with me, and told me to speak to the clubhouse when I finished my round. I was with a foursome of friends and they all saw that I could easily pull the strap even when clasped. However, when I met with the owner, he said he inspected the cart, it looked fine to him, and he would not replace my driver. There is NO way that cart was fine. I think they fixed the clasp while I was on the course. They chose to not replace my shaft or even provide any type of relief for my broken driver. Just horrible service for such a constant customer and member. I will look to minimize any visits in the future, and I would not recommend this course due to the ownership being run by greedy pigs! read more

"It is what you think it is" Pros: + 36 holes so you can always get on as a single if you are an impulsive golfer. + Eagle Talon can play long if you want a longer course. Some really fun driving holes with low risk of OB. + Coyote Creek is shorter has some risky shots but fun if you are looking to throw the dice. Can be fun for an ego boost if you are looking to score. + Cart girls are friendly and normally prompt on sunny days. + New golf carts with GPS are nice. + Very affordable especially if you buy a membership. + Mark Bass is a good pro if you need lessons + Great wildlife - Ducks, Geese, Herons, Otters, Beavers etc. Cons: - Greens are almost always bumpy from foot traffic and the type of grass used. - Course does not drain well being in a wetland. Winter/Spring golf - balls will plug consistently. - No Marshals. Pace of play is slow. 5hr+ 18 is very common. - Lots of beginners. - Sand traps are atrocious. No depth to the sand and lots of rocks. - Driving range has special hours. Make sure to check if you need to warm up. - Bar/restaurant is almost always closed if you are playing twilight. - Hole design variety is limited - Why are there fake plastic swans on the course? Overall: Its what you want out of it. If you want to have a good time and play some mildly challenging golf, this is the place. Great for beer golf. Call ahead to make sure you aren't showing up on a league night or corporate event. Golf snobs will not like this place. Its forgiving for beginners, but please keep their pace up (drops, gimmies etc). Keep your expectations tempered and be surprised by some of the fun holes. Off rates prices can make it a value. read more

I just paid $55 in March at Willows and honestly have not played worse greens. The greens on Eagles Talon are a joke. What's even more a joke, is charging full price to play it. You have two course's, you can close one, use the other? I get it, it's a cash cow for the owners, but how about having a little pride in the product you sell? The greens are honestly better at Wellington, Wayne, Tyee, and at least they have the humility to charge accordingly. When I went into the pro shop afterward the excuse was the fungi, what's the excuse for charging full rate? I've played willows 50+ times, I don't think I'll be back, they make it painfully obvious that the money far exceeds the experience they're customers receive. read more

I've played out here since they opened. I play it a dozen+ times a year. It is my default course. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE: * You can virtually always get on, that is what happens when you have 36 HOLES. This and LOCATION are Willows two biggest draws hands down. *The membership rates are ok, nothing special but certainly better than rack rate. *I have a par three tournament with my Rotary Group there every year and they are very good, very accomodative. *They tarp the greens in the winter so there is no frost delay, really a good idea. *There are no houses on the course *This course is sucessful as there are not a lot of alternatives *Though it still can be a bit wet in the Winter/Spring, they improved the drainage a few years ago, which was very helpful. They don't have to close down holes anymore. *It is better than Bellevue Muni, Wayne and Echo Falls three of it's four closest competitors. *The food is good. *The deck overlooks the putting green and first tees, outstanding place to eat or have a post round libation in the summer. *Willows does a good job of managing tee time splits prior to twilight. They are far enough a part that you are not necessarily destined for the automatic 5 hour plus round you experience in places like Bellevue Muni, Kayak and Snohomish. *This is anecdotal, but it seems that Willows is getting less tournament play, which is a huge positive as it opens up a lot of tee times that had been previously blocked out. This is great for last minute walk-ons. This is the single biggest area of improvement for the average golfer that I have seen at Willows since they opened up the second 18 holes. AREAS THAT NEED IMPROVEMENT: *They need to reduce the prime time rack rate, I have a member card so no big deal but I would hesitate to pay rack rate for this course, there are better alternatives. *The pace of play is all over the place, you can play it under 4 hours (once, I played it in 3:20 on foot) or it can be slow, I played a 5 hour and 20 minute round this summer. Usually a normal round is about 4:30 to 4:45. Generally it takes 15 to 30 minutes longer than what they tell you it will be when you pay. *Starting this summer, cart girls were a hit or miss, even on a hot sunny weekend, sometimes they show up just fine, other times you go all afternoon, no cart girl. *The bunkers need sand. Once it rains a little more, some of them will be close to being hard pan. If you don't want to put sand in the bunkers perhaps they should be grassed in. *The greens are in marginal shape, they are quite lumpy and don't hold a line well. *The Marshalls are superflous, rarely rude but rarely effective. Either they are not there to move people around when it slows down or once this year they bugged us to move faster when we were already on pace for a relatively rare sub four hour round with no one pushing from behind. * When they get to Twilight, they throw people out on the course as fast as they can, as a result the pace of play suffers as the course is jammed. Also, once twighlight starts, when you could really use a Marshall so that you could get in a few more holes, the Marshalls vanish. *Often, except in the summer, they will close one of the courses down early to mid afternoon for no apparent reason, funnelling everyone on to the other course instead of spreading us out on both courses which could really speed up play and save everyone 30 to 45 minutes and make it so everyone could play in under 4 hours. *I like to go out after my round and hit a few balls to straighten out my game, however, I can't always, as too often the range is closed as early as 3:30 on a summer weekend a good 5+ hours before sunset. *They have perfectly good grass tees on the driving range, however, it is only open once a week on Wednesday. The only time it is open on the weekends is when they are trying to sell something during a DEMO day. So we have to hit off of mats, quite frustrating. Years ago, I remember we used to be able to hit off the grass tees as long as it wasn't raining, it worked great. *I usually walk, but will ride depending on who I play with. Willows goes to cart path only unnecessarily quickly. When Willows is on cart path only and I am playing with friends who like to ride, more often than you would think, we are able to find a course that does not have that onerous restriction. I find their stance on this a bit disingenous for a course that in past advertising promotions has billed itself as the "drier" winter time golfing alternative. *I think Willows is owned by the same people that own Druids Glen. We get out to Druids a few times a year. The experience at Druids is head and shoulders above the experience at Willows in virtually every respect. It seems like the owners would be miles ahead if they ran Willows like they run Druids. But then because of Willows location and having 36 holes maybe they don't really thnik they need to. read more

Willows Golf course is one of the easy golf course with very high price tag. But the main issue is the staff at Willows, they have an attitude as if they are CEO's Fortune 10 company. Very rude and uncourteous staff. We are group of 12 people who play regular golf and we have vowed not to play again because of the really nonsense staff (they seriously need lessons in etiquettes) And I believe this is the most unorganized golf course in area. No wonder there is never any problem getting tee times at willows. read more

Review is for Eagle's Talon. Golfed after 3PM on a Thursday to save money. Ended up dropping $45 per person with a power cart (including tax). A little steep considering we could not finish due to traffic jams on the course. Cart pick-up was a little confusing and we weren't given much direction, so we asked a lot of questions. We tee'd off on time. Got severely bogged down by "slow-sums" who should have been scolded by a marshal, but it seems everyone who worked at the course had the day off or something, including the beverage gals. I actually had to call the infuriating main phone number to get a hold of someone who could page a cart gal because I was dying of thirst. Once I got a hold of someone, the cart gal found us in about 5 minutes. She wasn't exceptionally friendly and didn't seem to appreciate our jokes. I guess I'd be grumpy too in 88 degree weather with a bunch of horn-ball drunk old dudes harassing me all day. I gulped down my $3 Powerade ($4 with tip) and continued to swing Happy Gilmore style at the wildlife all over the course and the slow groups in front of us. Our cart did not have a divot-fix mixture can (sand and seed), so every chunk of earth I launched that day left a scar in the fairway for someone else to enjoy. The course was decent and rather forgiving for a LH slicer like me. Lots of Canadian Geese (can't stand those grouchy crap machines!) and even evidence of beaver too. Look around hole 14 for all the fallen trees, and stumps gnawed to a pencil point tip. Warning: traffic in and out of Willows Run is a joke. read more

If that's your situation, then may I suggest sitting outdoors and getting a cold beer, as the buzzed view will surely compensate for the extremely basic and slightly disappointing grill fare? (And, yes, that is a question...) S E R V I C E Servers here skew young (remember the good ol' high school days of working at the local Country Club and balls flying wildly at your cart!?)... and service, reflective of this, can be hit or miss, with misses airing on the side of pretending you don't exist and hits being frequent check-ins to ask about refills, bring silver, ask how things are, etc. etc. A T M O S P H E R E Sitting outdoors with a lovely view of the green is the optimal choice, so opt for a sunny day when you can judge everyone's drunken golf cart driving skill. L O C A T I O N Off Willows Road, which is French for "the suburbs." The Golf Club is a few "blocks" away from Woodinville and downtown Redmond... aka civilization is somewhat distant, but then again, there is ample room for parking your monster truck. F O O D / V A L U E If you're really REALLY hungry, then any sustenance (including this place's) will taste great! Right?! RIGHT?! For everyone else, the food is just alright for the prices (in which you can expect to pay about 10 dollars for a salad). The salmon sliders are a bit fishy and hardened, with the bread tasting dry, flavorless and boring... but you already knew that and didn't come here for the food, right?
