I have rented here two…read moreyears to store my Class A motorhome - I paid full year in advance, always followed all rules, never caused any issues and they jacked up my rent hugely and then just tried to do it again - 50% increase since sign up 2 years ago. Unbelievable. The justification last year was because we had a power outlet and the power bill of the whole place was 'high', even though we barely ever used the outlet and only for an hour the whole year at most. But of course they can't differentiate by unit. This year the the justification for the $50/mo increase is 'well Public Storage does it' from the Property Manager. The real reason the power bill is so high and all the units with power are having to pay more is because they claim no one is allowed to work out of the space, but almost all the back units are constantly open with people working in them with power tools and multiple cars that all seem to have entry codes. As a woman alone I felt uncomfortable going to the unit alone with men staring at me smoking outside the units next to mine. I complained about it last year and the property manager at the time told me the owner knew about the abuses and didn't do anything about it.

DON'T store your belongings with Go Store It!!! - we lost over $30,000 dollars worth of valuables,…read morefamily albums, furniture, tools and so much more--all items stored in our 8 x 20 ft. cargo trailer. The thieves used a VENDOR code to open the security gate, drive in and, after busting off the locks on our trailer and tow, hooked up their truck to our trailer and drove out of the facility. A vendor code is a code that management gives to people who come to their locations to do repair work. You would think that it would be easy to track down the vendor based on the code but, unfortunately, Go Store It gives their vendors the SAME code, so it's impossible to pin-point who actually stole our possessions. We had just moved to the Columbus area and had not found a home yet so we needed to store our possessions in a secure area. Go Store It is NOT a secure area. Their security cameras are of extremely poor quality--even the police said the video footage sent to them from Go Store It was garbage. Please find another place to entrust your possessions.

used u-haul u-boxes to move from washington state to columbus, ohio. when my boxes arrived at their…read morecolumbus facility they were infested with cockroaches. when we went inside to report it, there was another customer in front of us complaining about roaches being in his truck, proving this is a wider issue at this location. u-haul refused to take any responsibility or offer reasonable compensation, even though the infestation happened while my belongings were in their care. to make things worse, john hartman tried to use intimidation tactics during negotiations instead of working toward a fair resolution. their customer service was dismissive and basically told me i was on my own. i would never trust u-haul again with my belongings. be warned: even if you pay for their services, they will not protect your things or make it right if something goes wrong.
