I went back to Taiwan twice to finish my dental implant treatment using the Nobel Biocare system at a much lower cost. I still get reminder calls and emails from this clinic for cleanings, which I truly appreciate. The doctor was very understanding and offered me a refund, which I accepted. Even though I completed my treatment abroad, this experience encouraged me to go back home for dental work, enjoy good food, and spend more time with my family. I've never felt so inspired to floss. . . There are some people whose passion and joy in what they do is contagious, like the personal trainer whose conviction somehow gets you through those extra 5 sets of squats at the gym. Dr. Lo is one of those people. A natural educator in a dental scrubs, Dr. Lo took the time to explain common misconceptions about dental hygiene with kindness and zeal. Like I said, I've never felt more excited about flossing and brushing. I took advantage of a new patient promotion for the office and am so glad that I did. The staff are welcoming and take the time to answer questions. I was not upsold on any service. From what I could tell, this dental office is more interested in giving patients what they actually need and does not try to sell products or procedures that are not necessary. It sounds like they offer a membership for self-pay patients as well that would offest the cost for those who are underinsured as well. Happy with the discovery of this dentist. Dr Lo really does a good job of selling himself. Between my husband and myself we spent close to $50k. Red flags started to show up that I put aside. That was a mistake. He did not do anything like I kept telling him and sending pictures for him to refer to. If you saw my bottom teeth you would understand. We are elderly and I had suffered a stroke that left me unable to deal with confrontation. It was always all about the money, his enormous ego and not listening to the patient. When the front desk demanded an additional $5k before they would set an appointment I just broke down. I cannot tell you how much I suffered because of their indifference and callous treatment. Quite honestly, I was both pleased and pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of Dr. Lo and his entire dental team--from my initial appointment through my first two treatments. My husband and I started seeing Dr. Lo before we had kids, now our kids are 18 and 17 and they are patients too. Dr. Lo is not only an incredibly skilled dentist with a gentle touch, but also one of the kindest professionals we've ever met. He explains everything clearly, never rushes, and most importantly, he only recommends what's truly necessary. We trust him completely. A moment that really stood out happened about 15 years ago when my mom had a painful, swollen tooth. Another dentist told her she needed a root canal, but we brought her to Dr. Lo for a second opinion. He turned on his headlamp, took a quick look, and gently removed a tiny chicken bone shard from her gum, instantly relieving her pain. We were amazed and had a good laugh about it afterward!  Most recently, Dr. Lo recommended Invisalign for me since my teeth had started shifting. I considered other, more affordable options, but ultimately chose to stay with Dr. Lo because of the consistent care and trust he's built with us over the years. I'm so glad I did. I started Invisalign in November 2023, and after 17 months, my teeth are perfectly aligned. Dr. Lo never rushed the process, he paid close attention to every detail and treated me like family throughout. While the cost was a bit higher than some other places, the quality and peace of mind were absolutely worth it. We've had friends travel abroad--for example, to Vietnam--for more affordable dental work, only to come back and have to redo everything due to poor quality. The Best Dentist, Dental Office and Staff. If you can imagine a perfect visit to the dentist office, this is it. This is the place. I am so grateful to have found and chosen Texas Dental - Dr Lo's practice as my new dentist since moving to Plano in 2018. In the last 20 years since going to the dentist, NO one has cared and took care of my dental needs as this office. I've always had bleeding gums and for a longest time thought that was the norm. Since my last visit, and it's been a year now in fact my next appt is tomorrow, my teeth has never been in better shape. And I have not had gum bleeding once. Was in a haste as my already treated root canal tooth ( from Frankfurt Germany) was hurting... visited a female dentist in the plano area who misguided me by saying that my tooth is in serious condition..it seemed that she desired to make money and not to help her patients. Then I researched on yelp and found Dr.Wilson Lo and followed my gut instinct to see him though he was not in my insurance network. My first visit was amazing. I reached 45min late( first time ever happened in my life that I am late for my appointment that also 45min..very embarrasing). Mayra at the front desk with a lovely smile was very kind and patient.. She helped me and also offered her desk to read my x-ray reports which the former dentist was supposed to email them but she didnt and I have to pull it from my email account. Gracie, Dr Lo's assitant took me in the treatment room. She is charming and cute. Her smiling face instantly makes yo feel refreshed. I have found the holy grail of Dentists! I have never left a dentist office feeling happy and calm until today. Thanks to my fellow yelpers review on this office I decided to give Dr. Lo and his crew a try. The office is a tad bit hard to find, tucked away right off GB tollway, across from what I think might be a catholic school, in a cluster of office suites. When I came in, everyone was immediately so friendly and the receptionist really set the tone with a very warm demeanor (especially considering it was 7:30am). The office is nicely laid out, with plenty of magazines, toys and coffee as you wait. My Dental Hygienist was running a little behind on her previous cleaning(no big deal), so another very friendly hygenist grabbed me to take my ex rays to save some time. I still only waited about 10 minutes past my appointment time which i find more than reasonable. I have waited much longer for much less service. When I got back there the hygenist was very friendly and proceeded to show me the flat screen above my head with NETFLIX! I was pretty pumped about this. I will admit, its been awhile since I've been to the dentist (lack of fundage, insurance, etc), but i dont remember them having anything other than Judge Judy or some whack Disney movie playing the last time I was. I got to watch Dexter! Needless to say, I was super impressed with this amenity. Now I'll be honest. I've been a bad girl and have not been flossing like I should. I was having some discomfort as the hygenist was cleaning my teeth and not only was she concerned, but I could tell she changed her approach and was gentlier in the areas I expressed my discomfort. This was such a nice change to my last cleaning at a different dentist's office where I felt I was being abused! After I met with Dr. Lo and he was fanatastic! He explained the importance of flossing with out scolding me and gave me several visual refreneces that made me understand what was going on in my mouth and how to better take care of my teeth.He really took the time out to make me understand everything. I could tell he really cares about his practice, his patienst and his staff. Every employee seemed genuinely happy to be there. All these things fostered such a warm environment for me, the patient that I have already reccomended him to two of my coworkers. I cant say enough great things about this practice. read more

I had not been to the dentist in nearly 3 years and was a bit nervous that I was going to be scolded for being a horrible patient and for not being more diligent about my oral health...this was the complete opposite of my experience at Dr. Lo's office. I was warmly greeted and after filling out a couple introductory forms and insurance information, I was quickly taken back by my hygienist, Amanda. She was very pleasant, explained everything she was going to do before she did it, and ensured my comfort level along the way. The cleaning was painless and the x-rays were easier than I remember. Dr. Lo came in and checked my teeth and my x-rays and discussed everything in detail with me. I had just one molar that was questionable and I could have chosen to get the filling re-done or we could wait and continue to watch it to see if I have any discomfort. I appreciated that he gave me that option and didn't press treatment on me that wasn't entirely necessary. He also ensured that I got his business card and pointed out his emergency cell phone number in case I ever need it. I was also able to speak with someone to review my insurance and determine what was covered and how much I would have to pay out of pocket if I chose to have the treatment at a later time. I really like that they don't just throw you to the wolves, they really take the time to explain and give you all of your options so you can make an informed decision. I have officially found a dentist that I love and trust! I have not been to the dentist in over four years!!! I know nasty but hey I really didn't like or trust any of them. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The dental tech that cleaned my teeth was wonderful. No pain or discomfort. You would think that after so many years I would have one or the other nope, nada, none!!!! You can also watch netflix while they are working on your teeth. I also have always had a problem with TMJ and Dr. Ricci immediately answered my questions about that and recommended someone to go to for that. I don't see Dr. Lo, but I see Dr. Ricci in the same office. I've spoken with all the dentists and dental hygienists in the office every time I go, and everyone is so friendly and seems to genuinely care about how you're feeling. I had major dentist fear when I first went to Dr. Ricci (seeing Little Shop of Horrors as a young child combined with terrible dentists will do that). I explained to him that if I got sarcastic and snippy, that was why, because that's how I express my frustration. He laughed and talked to me through the whole procedure, ensuring that I was comfortable at all times, and explaining exactly what he was doing when he could see a hint of fear in my eyes. Their oral surgeon is Dr. Moore, who extracted my wisdom teeth and joked with me before the surgery. He noticed that I was a hockey fan, and that's how he calmed me down, being a fan himself. It's things like that, the little touches of personal care, that make this office a great one. I would recommend this office to anyone who is in need of a new dentist! read more

THE DOWN-LO ON WILSON A friend recommended me to Dr. Lo when I was 42 years old. Having had enough dental work to be the official poster child of the ADA, I had feared dentists for a number of years. I would become so anxious in the chair I had to be administered Rx and receive "the gas" just to have my teeth cleaned. But the recommendation came from a close friend who was also in the medical profession, so I went to see Dr. Lo. Despite my aversion for the entire dental community, Dr. Lo invested significant time learning about my past issues and concerns. He reassured me that "painless dentistry" was possible for me - even though my gums had substantial scar tissue resulting from a teenage auto accident. Sixteen years later - Dr. Lo is still "the man." He and his peers, along with his staff, are absolutely amazing. Last Friday (3/10) I had my semi-annual check-up. Even after all these years - and a number of procedures including fillings, crowns, extractions, and implants - they continue to blow my mind. Their dedication and commitment to excellence is easily recognized in every facet of the practice, i.e., How they treat their patients; how they run the office; how they've managed their growth; how they remain abreast of the most recent procedural and technological advancements, etc. Upon completion of my routine exam - which no longer require Rx or gas - I told Dr. Lo. that Texas Dental could be the benchmark for customer service. While I admire service-centered companies like Nordstrom, I truthfully believe the level of service I receive at Texas Dental is second to none. Dr Lo has been my dentist for the past 12 years. I have referred many people to him who also rave about him. He is so skilled at everything he does and you won't feel a thing. He is a lifelong learner and really cares about each of his patients. I recently saw Dr Lo because a crown placed by a previous dentist had fallen out. Rather than just replacing the crown, he inspected the tooth and discovered that the previous root canal had failed and as a result there was an infection. Dr Lo and his assistant Sharona put me completely at ease as he retreated the tooth and later placed a new crown that was of better quality and fit than the previous one I had. Dr.Wilson Lo has been, by far, the best dentist I've ever gone to. I was a patient of his up until about 4 years ago when I got new insurance and he was no longer covered, but I actually continued to see him a couple of times after the insurance change because I've never had such a good experience with a dentist. Every hygienist there was so nice and did such a great job I always felt so welcomed from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. Both of the doctors there, Lo and Ricci, are the best you will find in town. They're honest with their charges, they take the time to get to talk to you, and they do really good work. Dr.Ricci removed my wisdom teeth, and it was such a perfect job I didn't even need the painkillers afterwards. I wish my insurance still covered them because it's been impossible to find a dentist in town that comes close to how great they are here. read more

Finally, got a moment to talk about this place. Place was Recomended to me by a friend after moving from houston. It is very conveniently located in a heart of Plano of the George bush and Preston road. ( very important ). Here is one detail I absolutely love. Dentists love appointments. Every office handles this aspect differently. Some stick to charging,24 hour rules and you have to go online, or lift 150 lb 15 times in 15 seconds or you go to jail! You will not find crazy rules and punishment with these guys. They are very firm about the time the spent with you, and yet are very flexible and choose to accommodate. Doctor Lo. What a smile. First visit he told me something no one said before in the dentist office. "We are not going to do that his time. We will do only what it is need to be done. " huh!? You will not tell me I need 3 implants, 2 crowns and a bridge? Stick me with a program and scare me to death with all the cutting and drilling that may take place in a the near future with a 10k price tag!? What a guy. Over all. I found Dr Lo. thanks to Yelp and some other review sites for doctors only ! I was a bit apprehensive, but when i arrived the receptionist was warm and friendly. I had no wait , and the hygienist actually demonstrated each step of the cleaning process before beginning so i would know what to expect and why they do each thing. During the cleaning I got to watch the tv above, although Im not sure that was so great for her because i kept laughing ( it was The Office season 1) lol.. she was patient and even stopped for a bit when i started to feel panicky ... Dr Lo came in and sat down with his coffee. He had about a 15 min convo with me about history and whats going on in my mouth and his concerns etc... I am very pleased and will be returning soon for more work! My husband also had some issues that they were able to correct from bad surgery previously! read more

Dr Lo is a very nice, warm dentist and the hygienist was very gentle and good. FYI-I only had a checkup and cleaning done, nothing major. His office is very modern and comfortable, so thats a plus. The only thing is that he is an out-of-network dentist, aka he does not participate in any insurance plans. So you will have to pay considerably more if you go to him. We are so thankful that we found Dr. Wilson Lo!! He is professional, caring, capable, conscientious and authentic. He did 2 fillings on my 2.5 year old daughter's 2 front teeth and he and his staff kept her calm, at ease and out of pain. We were even allowed to stay during the whole procedure, and we were absolutely impressed by how professional, capable, and kind he was. She had conscious sedation so she was relaxed but awake the whole time, then local anesthetic to numb around the teeth getting filled, wore noise cancelling Bose headphones and watched a TV screen on the ceiling that showed any kid show she wanted (including Disney and Sesame Street on Netflix). In Dr. Lo's care, our daughter did great during the whole process, recovered very well and she's her happy self with beautifully restored teeth! Since it was on her 2 front teeth the difference is obvious and immediate visible - they look perfect. Most importantly, we feel confident that her teeth are back to healthy to pave the way for healthy permanent teeth. He even called that evening from his cell phone to check on how she was doing. Dr. Lo has a way of making kids at ease, explaining the process in a non-fearful way to kids and an easy to understand way for us non-dentist parents. Before seeing Dr. Lo, we had gone to our nearby pediatric dentist who said that our daughter would need to undergo general anesthesia for the fillings. I understand it's generally safe, but we were very anxious and worried about that extreme anesthesia measure in such a small child for fillings. We went to Dr. Lo for a 2nd opinion and he proactively said that he prefers a conservative approach and if she wasn't calm with oral sedation, then we could consider other options. One step at a time. We are extremely glad and thankful that we went with Dr. Lo and HIGHLY recommend and trust him for kids, adults, anyone. Well, I finally decided to write this review but was hesitant because Dr. Lo apparently has impressed some people. I went to his office based off reviews. I needed alot of dental work done; implants possibly, root canals etc. Dr. Lo provided one treatment option for me which was dentures. I could see doing my lower teeth with dentures and then putting in implants as I went along, but he wanted to do upper and lower both. The upper was not as bad; and I wanted to check into other options. When he gave me the diagnosis he was explaining about extracting some teeth that were broken off. I told him I had an oral surgeon that I used for that; and that I was put to sleep when I had an extraction that required possible stitches. He said he extracted the teeth himself. That was a red flag. I have checked and he is not an oral surgeon; and is on no hospital staff as oral surgeon. Also, when he suggested the lower dentures he said "but you will be disappointed". If I was going to be disappointed why not do a temporary set and let me do implants as I could (which was suggested by another dentist on the 2nd optinion I got). Because I made the mistake of saying I had $5,000, plus the dental insurance, to work with and that just about covered the dentures (upper and lower). The office staff was very nice and so is he; but I am almost 60 yrs old and I have had so much work done over the years that I can tell when some things just don't sound correct. BIG LET DOWN. I feel weird saying this but....I actually LOVE going to the dentist! Hands down the best dentist I have ever been to! He is incredibly smart, very personable and funny too :) Routine dental care is relaxing! That's right! Relaxing! He has noise canceling headphones and flat screens on the ceiling with Netflix....awesome. His skill as a dentist is an art...completely painless shots... unbelievable. He has been available at odd hours when I have had dental emergencies with my kids. His hygienists are super nice and do a great job. My teeth are clean, but not sore when I leave :) I always feel like a VIP! read more

I think that Dr Wilson Lo is the best Dentist in Texas if not everywhere else. He is very professional, excellent dentist, very friendly and knowledgable. His work is always 100% pain free. He pays attention to the smallest details. Explains his work and what is going on. Down to earth and does excellent dental work. my 6 yrs old likes going to the dentist because of him. I always recommend him to others. My family is very glad that we have Dr Lo as our dentist. High level of honesty, dental work that lasts for many years and does not need corrections. I had other Dentists before and I feel lucky that I have Dr Lo as my dentist. I simply don't have to worry. I know everything is done to the best level of excellence. read more
