Decent little spot in an area of town most wouldn't ever go to for food. For a more in depth look check out wichitabyeb .com

We were in on Friday, June 26th between 5:00 and 5:30 PM. They didn't have a lot of patrons at…read morethat time, but everyone was running. Our waitress was a little overwhelmed at first and we started to feel a bit worried. First we were seated and it took almost five minutes before she acknowledged us, then she took the drink orders, the Strawberry Lemonade is wonderful with fresh strawberries, which is a little difficult at first to drink because they give you small straws and the fresh fruit clogged them up. That wasn't too much of a problem because the waitress kept forgetting to bring us straws. The food was OK, I can't say wonderful but it was OK. The hamburger was good sized and a nice plate of fries. The chicken with pico served over rice had a good flavor but was overcooked and dry. Luckily they served with a dipping sauce that helped moisten the bites. Overall the meal was average, nothing that took it over the top, but they didn't do enough bad to take it down either. We have eaten there several times in the past, and the one thing that I have noticed every time is the food has been over cooked. The bourbon Salmon has a very good flavor, but dry and overcooked. I don't know if this is from sitting until pick up, or if it was forgotten on the flat top for too long. We came out full, with some leftovers my daughter ate later that night, I am sure we will go back in the future, hopefully it isn't overdone next time.

The only items that were good were the coleslaw and the croissants. This makes the first time in over a year after our last nightmare we had there. For the price paid, the food wasn't worth the price that they wanted.

Another great meal at Chisholm's! Tonight I had the salmon which sat at top a creamy base with…read morecarrots and peas - think of it as pot pie filling. I chose green beans for my side and added an additional side of mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were a great accompaniment, considering the sauce in which the salmon sat. Colton did a great job serving me and as always, they have a great number of local craft beers on tap.

This restaurant is a one Star just don't do it…read more Chisholm's at the DoubleTree Wichita Airport - The Mystery Wedge Salad I wanted to like Chisholm's. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the menu looked promising. Unfortunately, my meal was more of a culinary scavenger hunt. I ordered a hamburger rare. I got it well done and beyond well done it was murdered it was shoe leather. . Not the end of the world, but definitely not what I ordered. Then came the real surprise: the "wedge salad." A wedge salad is one of the simplest dishes to get right--iceberg lettuce, blue cheese dressing, bacon, tomatoes, maybe some red onion or chives. What arrived looked like someone described a wedge salad over a bad phone connection. Yes, there was a wedge of lettuce... but it was topped with what appeared to be cream cheese, a few chives, crushed potato chips, and a mystery assortment of toppings that I'm still trying to identify. There was no blue cheese, no traditional bacon topping, and the potato chips buried in the middle of the lettuce just made the whole thing even more confusing. For $10, I thought I had found a bargain. Instead, I found one of the strangest interpretations of a wedge salad I've ever been served. If you're craving a classic wedge salad, this isn't it. If you're looking for an adventure where you try to guess what you're eating, then congratulations--you've found your appetizer.
