Now we are seeing the results of the move: Not only more shelves and freezers of such products, BUT with more varieties! That considered, they still DO sell all the fast and junk food which will kill you faster than quick, or get you fast and living in a hospital quick enough!!

On this trip, I came for one specific thing, a monster taco for dinner. It's a huge tortilla (I wanna say 12") loaded up with beef (or chicken), cheese and several toppings of your choice for under $10! I got mine with beef, 1/2 mozzarella 1/2 cheddar, sour cream, salsa, green olives, black olives, banana peppers, jalapenos, mushrooms and hot sauce on the side. It took about 5 minutes from the time I ordered for my food to be ready. They don't have seating , but there are benches along the sidewalk. I opted to sit at the one on the corner and enjoy my monster taco. It did not disappoint! The beef was well seasoned and not greasy at all (see pic of wrapper after taco is gone). There was an ample amount of the toppings that I ordered. It was delicious bite after bite. I only wish the cheese was melted... Maybe put cheese on the tortilla and pop it in the pizza oven quick before putting everything else on. I would definitely go back and order one again and again and again. The staff is always friendly and their bathroom is always clean.

Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.

The store manager is super sweet and always makes a point of small talk when we go in, and all the employees are also very nice and helpful for the most part. The store is newer, so it is big and clean and I can always find something to spend my money on. I stock up on my household needs and get whatever else I need in a pinch to avoid the competition down the street!!
