Woodfield Mall is the biggest in Illinois and it certainly isn't a surprise. A crap tons of stores are here. There's also a food court and restaurants. Certainly it has a lot of history. It's the main thing interesting about this suburb. There's a bunch of other businesses and restaurants that have come in around it and it's still got quality stuff after all of these years. As for the mall itself there's plenty to look at. The location is located close to major highways and there's bus routes. Has a lot of impact on the local economy. It opened in 1971 by the Taubman Company and is now owned by Simon. Has a few main anchors. There's currently JC Penney, Macy's, Nordstrom, and Primark. Has a couple of floors. On the first floor is Ben And Jerry's, Crocs, Express, Hollister, Starbucks, and TCBY. On the top floor is Anthropologie, Auntie Anne's, Eddie Bauer, LEGO Store, Uncle Julio's, and Zumiez among other things. A lot of course has changed. There used to be a Rainforest Cafe and of course there used to be Sears. Got to check it out even though it's not like it used to be. It's located along Golf Road. There's a few times it may be sketchy but people usually aren't violent or whatever.

Regarding the product, it's a little on the pricey side for the type of Asian products (toys, makeup, nicknacks, etc.) you can find for a little less in Chinatown, but the fact that it's in the suburbs means your saving on gas and traffic. Of course, I realize at that time I was 328 pounds and they just didn't carry four or five extra large. I bought a pair of boots, a cute skirt, and a cute dress. Prices were pretty decent. They were what you would expect out of any normal store not even necessarily a specialty store. I think my dress was about $70, my skirt was 45, and my boots were about 100 but I did buy specialty boots that are just for a couple outfits I wear. Not so easy to walk in, but they aren't really meant to walk in that much anyway ha you catch my drift. They carry a lot of really great brand shoes and wonderful boots. They've been in the business for a long time and I will always remember their location on Belmont and Clark. Right next to the punkin' donuts. At least that's what we used to call it.

The selection of clothing, jewelry, patches, and shoes were amazing, however the customer service left a bad taste in the mouth. There was 5 employees in the store, 1 gentleman and 4 ladies, and the ladies were recording videos and leaving the 1 gentleman to do the customer service, answer questions, and cash customers out. We asked for help with one of the items and one of the ladies replied "oh I'm sorry, we are recording" and proceeded to grab the gentleman from the cash register to come help us instead of doing it themselves. I understand if you are busy and recording, the issue is, they weren't actively recording, and hadn't been recording for 10 minutes at that point. Furthermore, we overheard the lady employees talking amongst themselves and saying to me and my partner something along the lines of "I hope they don't steal a pair of Demonias". If you look on the alleys official TikTok page, majority of the videos are about putting customers down and making fun of questions and comments any normal customer would make in a retail setting. Either way we spent $500+ at the store, and at this point we were being helped by another gentleman while the other guy helping us took a break (the ladies still did not help us at this point). It's very upsetting morally to leave a bad review on a small business that has been around since the 70s, especially because I love the owner and his views, and he works so hard to maintain this business. I just wish the employees cared more about the image of their store.
