This place was a dangerous choice. My mom went in for rehab after a fall. Unfortunately she fell again while in rehab, she fell hard. After the fall they did not call for an X Ray. The day after the fall she screamed in pain if you tried to touch her. They ordered the x ray at 1:30pm, the tech came at around 3, she had broken her hip and needed to be transferred to the hospital. At 4pm they gave her an anti-coagulant before sending her to the hospital. The hospital told us they had to delay surgery because of the anti-coagulant. For 2 days my mother laid in pain and agony because of this place. read more

First and foremost, you must be there daily to advocate for your loved one: The various functions; Doctors and PAs: rarely seen ...average performance... Follow up poor. Nurses: good but understaffed CNA's: poor and understaffed. Response time poor; language skills mixed. Occupational therapy: good Physical therapy: fail. By any measure, frequency or results, physical therapy totally unacceptable. Food: abominable. Concierge: very good Social worker: responsive but overworked. Summary: I do not recommend this establishment; if your loved one ends up here, you must be there every day. read more

I wish I had read these reviews before we made the decision to bring my mom here after her elbow surgery!! She has gotten worse from the time she arrived here (2weeks ago)! And are they serious with these "APRNs"? My mom developed pneumonia after being there a week. They wait at least 20 minutes (sometimes up to an 1 1/2 hrs) to attend my mom once she rings! There is always only 1 RN for each shift! My mom was there for physical therapy and hasn't had it in over a week!! I totally understand there's a holiday but since when does healthcare take time for a holiday!! I pray to God that she gets her strength back so we can take her out of there!!! I recently was told a friend of mine would be possibly going into Wilton Meadows for rehab. Immediately, the horrible memories came back to me from when my loved one was there, in my original post i forgot to mention that the place smells awful on the first floor up and down the hallway, also the corridor leading to the rooms. The PT was ineffective, no improvement at all. He came home weaker than when he went in, and had an awful bed sore. The nurses make very inappropriate remarks of a personal nature and think they can get away with it. One nurse took a pot-shot at our loved one's personal life. I told my friend that the place is a 3-ring circus. She was glad i warned her and looked elsewhere. read more

A good SNF but poor nursing leadership. Nursing leaders are too busy taking things personal instead like firing staff if they call in sick.

This place is horrible. While I understand that being a CNA is hard work, they are understaffed and over worked. HOWEVER, there are a couple CNA's there that should just find a different job. Rude and mean to the residents is an understatement. My family member had been left for 7 hours without being changed when she was a total mess. If you ring the call bell, they just turn it off and do not respond. I've heard the way they speak to the elderly residents and it's shocking. To think that these residents went their entire lives being respected only to get yelled at and degraded by people that are supposed to be caring for them. Thousands of dollars a month to live here for that?? Bring your loved one somewhere else. This place is hell. read more

I had a loved one reside here for two 1/2 years 2021-2023 and it was a horrific experience, they were severely understaffed and often neglected basic human needs, such as changing my loved ones incontinence undergarment, comfort, dignity, proper and timely medical care. My loved one was bedridden and was a hospice patient. My family had to intervene and care for our loved one themselves around the clock to insure our loved one was kept , clean , well nourished and comfortable. There were a few.... Very few nurses and CNA's that DID care for our loved one as she should have been cared for properly by everyone. To those few individuals that did care for our loved one well, I am grateful thank you. Our loved one has since passed away, and I was hesitant about writing a review, but I feel this facility needs to be more conscious of the care they are giving to our elderly loved ones. I do not recommend this place, I think the staff and management that did not do right by our loved one should be deeply ashamed of themselves. read more

My dad had been in this facility a few years back (not a great experience) but we decided to give it another chance with my mom. Care was ok for about 2 weeks. After that it went downhill. Mom was ignored alot. Bed sores got worse while she was there. When my mom pressed her buzzer one time for help someone came in and said "what do you want now?" I was on the phone with her at that time and heard it. This is not acceptable. PT was average at best and not effective. We were told they could serve a renal diet but nothing my mom received was renal friendly. She wanted to eat in the dining room and be social so we had set up her going to the dining room at least once a day. we were scolded a few times for showing up in the dining room because her meal had already been delivered to her room (they clearly knew she was supposed to be going to the dining room). Not a way to treat someone who is trying to heal and feel better. We picked a different rehab after she ended up going to the hospital. Do not send your loved one to this rehab. read more

I would not recommend Wilton Meadows for a loved one. Wilton Meadows barely deserves a single star. My mother, who has Alzheimer's, spent about 3 1/2 weeks in the facility for rehab. The nursing staff had too many patients such that it could take an hour or more before the nurse could stop by the room or be responsive to questions or concerns expressed by the family. Fortunately the CNAs were consistent and responsive in the absence of the nursing staff. My mom lost a significant amount of weight while there because the staff couldn't spend the time necessary to assist and encourage her to eat. The facility smelled badly and the carpeting was rank. Mom was discharged with a filthy bottom and they lost several articles of her clothing for which they refused to take responsibility in spite of the fact that I made every effort to return an expensive specialized wheelchair that happened to be left at my mom's small apartment. I should have placed it in the basement for garbage pickup as I had threatened to do over the three to four weeks that it took for them to pick it up while the administrator refused to reimburse for the cost of the lost clothing. Our experience with this facility was a true disappointment. The administration needs to work on improving itself and the facility overall. Don't place your loved one here, you'll regret it. read more

My father stayed here for a month for acute rehab. Physical therapy and occupational therapy were very good. He made slow and steady improvements that got him to a point where he could return home. I made it my mission to visit as often as I could. I think it's important to get to know the staff and for them to recognize you. So I never had a problem with communication. My observations are these: It is never easy working with the elderly. You are dealing with different socio-economic groups, patients with different cognitive ability, patient care is 24/7. I met some really great people, staff and patients alike. Overall, the place is clean and my father got decent care there. read more

Worst assisted living ever!!! Please do not send your loved ones there! There is absolutely no communication. My poor father was taken by ambulance and they have yet to call and see how he is doing? They don't care about the patients! Disgusting place! The administration and the front desk couldn't be any ruder!! They need to not be working around older patient who rely on their help!!! read more

I was sent to Wilton Meadows after surgery, post hospitalization. It was a truly terrible experience. It is grubby and worn. Hygiene is poor. Medications are late or even inaccurate. PT and OT were unprofessional. The food was inedible and fresh fruits and vegetables were completely lacking. A few of the nurses and assistants were nice people. I was capable of speaking for myself and requested a discharge at my very first "case review" meeting, which I got. I couldn't leave fast enough -- using a walker, no less. I have had allot of experience with Wilton Meadows and The Greens. Nothing but good things to say. They made all 3 of my relatives as comfortable as possible. All staff were warm and caring not only to my relatives but to our whole family. It was a long road for all of them who unfortunately have all passed. I am sorry to see others who had unfortunate issues. They do the best they can and would never be able to do what they do. read more

My loved one has been at Wilton Meadows for a week in the short term rehab recovering from a stroke. I am very happy with the physical plant as well as the therapy he is receiving. Taking him out in his wheelchair for a ride around the grounds is extremely pleasant, he gets some fresh air, I get some exercise and enjoy the lovely plantings. Any concerns that I have had are addressed promptly. There have been two minor physical issues in his room that were fixed quickly. A handle had come off his bedside table drawer; I reported it to the nurse's station who put it in the maintenance book and when I returned the next day it was fixed. Another night the TV remote was not working and new batteries were promptly located. I look forward to my loved one's continued improvement at this facility. Erika C read more

My father stayed at Wilton Meadows before he died. For the most part I was satisfied with his care. Nurse Waverley was wonderful to him, and Head Nurse Laurie made sure that his many, many requests were accomodated. We were satisfied with the Physical and Occupational therapy he received. Most of the staff (with a few exceptions) did what they could do to make him comfortable. The place is quite clean and they have a number of activities for the residents. The residents were always dressed and wandered through the facility instead of in their rooms and beds. There are more female residents and I think that the activities cater more to the women than to the men. My father never partook in the activities, but he would have participated in a card game. My big complaint about this place is that communication between groups was sorely lacking. Some were small: for instance, social services know about my father's interest in cards, and a few weeks later I spoke to recreation who didn't know about that. And I would get a different story about regulations from different nurses. One was big, though: my father moved to another nursing home for hospice care, and there was no communication between Wilton Meadows and the next nursing home. Nothing about making sure his medications were safely arrived with the next set of nurses. Nothing to ensure that he would have oxygen, which he required, during his trip. read more

My father was there from October 2013 to January 2014. He was a fall risk and yet apparently no one was watching him. The last time he fell, it was on his head. He just had to have surgery to alleviate the blood/fluid build up on the brain. When they were asked about not watching him, they always said "we are short staffed today". DO NOT let your family member stay at this place. read more
