Such a warm and welcoming venue! Pedro immediately greeted us upon arrival, made suggestions based on our likes, provided very amazing and detailed wine descriptions during our tasting. I absolutely loved the decor inside, but the view outside on a nice day was phenomenal! Also not overly pricey for a winery- I would 100% return

If you're in the area and want to try some delicious wine or beer, Wimberley Valley Winery is a MUST! The service was fantastic. The recommendations were great. The food truck was AMAZING. Our trip total was around $200 and that included 3 bottles to bring home, 2 wine tastings, a pizza, and 4 drinks while waiting for the wine tasting to start. They had live music outside which was nice since we met up with some friends to catch up and were able to utilize the outdoor space. They also have an adult scavenger hunt! You have to check this place out. Reservations are recommended.

We had a super fun date night at their comedy show! Had pizza at the pizza truck first, super yummy. Wine was delicious! Vineyard is beautiful! Staff was on top of everything and the event was top tier. It was a great night!

Nice area to stop for some wine and tastings. Enjoyed sitting inside on a colder day (they do have outdoor seating too), where they had live music. Could be decorated and lightened up a bit, it seemed pretty old school with their decor. Kid and dog friendly and plenty of parking!

I've been meaning to write this review for a few years (yes, years). My partner and I came here for a day date. When we stepped into the location we went to the bar area to determine how the tastings here worked as we didn't have a reservation. The bartender explained that we could sample wines in order to determine what we liked. We sampled a few different wines but elected to go with the sweet Blueberry wine because why not? At the time we went to this location, the price of five samples of wine costs $18.00 which seemed to be line with other wineries in the area. It should also be noted that this price included the wines glasses that we took home with that were branded with the Winery logo. This blueberry wine had intense characteristic fresh blueberry color and flavors as well as flavors of black cherry, plum, and blackberry, with a touch of spice (at least that what it tasted like to me). This full bodied sweet wine is a pleasant after dinner desert wine with a long finish. This is an excellent sipping wine and goes well with many foods including: strongly flavored meats, barbecue, chops, and especially with chocolate and rich deserts. My partner and I sat outside and drank the bottle underneath the trees at a quaint patio table. This is a great out of the way winyard that is beautiful and worth the drive.

Wimberley Valley Winery has a vast selection to taste, pick 5 for $20. Interesting selection and too many sweet wines for my taste but a decent selection for those experienced tasters as well. Our pourer, Travis is adorable, very friendly and super knowledgeable about the product! The winery is a castle-like facility, fireplace was glowing, and inviting. Also a second tasting room across the facility is for beer tasting and tons of tables to enjoy another lovely room. Fun stop on a rainy afternoon.

We got here as it opened on a mid week visit and had the place to ourselves. The barman/wine server was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. We opted for the beer flight and we were pleasantly surprised that we liked all of them - including the darker ones (which I don't normally like but these were super amazing). The small shop inside has some pretty cool (and nicely priced) wine accessories. Outside it is set up for a good truck venue but it was closed the day we went. The London route master bus was a particular high light for me!

My initial reaction of the winery was that it was beautiful. The exterior and interior of the property is gorgeous. Our bartender was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the wines. Being able to sample 5 wines for $20 was almost too good to be true but it is true. Go and see for yourself!

We were staying local and wanted to have a dinner and some beverages and decided to stop here - we were more than pleasantly surprised with the location and its offerings. The large main house provided guests with a wine tasting area and a large "pub" also served craft beers. We opted at first for a flight of beers and a pint of their Pilsner - all were lovely. A large outdoor area provided guests with a lot of seating options - on the Saturday night when we went there was also a live musician. Wood fired pizza was also available onsite for guests - this was a HUGE win. We had the pepperoni as well as the chimichuri steak pizza - the chimichuri steak pizza was probably the best we've had in the austin area to date. The only downfall were the flies - Texas outdoors will of course have bugs to contend with but I really wish more places with outdoor seating offered table fans to prevent bugs from being the main uninvited guests. They also had wine slushies - these were less wine and more just a basic frozen drink (think Pina colada) but they were delicious nonetheless. If you're in the area and looking for a spot to enjoy the outdoors while sipping on a bevie - this is it!

Had and opportunity to visit Wimberley Valley Winery today. We had a wonderful time. They are all ready for Halloween

It was a nice winery, extremely crowded on a Saturday. I tried the plum spice slushy which was very tasty. I didn't get to do a tasting since it was a pretty long wait and I was on a time schedule with a tour group, but the wines I saw looked like they would have been delish.

where's my Wine, Pablo? we love this place and everything about it.

What I like about small vineyards is they have the freedom to experiment and create a variety of wines and blends using different varieties and winemaking styles. This innovation leads to fresh and evolving tasting experiences that keep wine interesting, exciting, and perhaps most importantly, personal. Small vineyards also focus on quality and sustainable farming, and produce smaller quantities of wine. This locally owned small vineyard has bold reds and crisp whites and breathtaking views at sunset. For my partner, I purchased a bottle of the 2019 Mourvèdre. This vino is smokey and bold with cholocatre undertones. This vino will pair well with steak and other red meats. While I am not a fan of reds, the quality and legs on this vino is undeniable. I purchased a glass of 2021 Barrel Aged Trebbiano which was reminiscent of a Cabernet Sauvignon blanc. Cabernet Blanc wines have a flavor profile that's similar to a mix of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. They can be dry, but some are made to be slightly sweet. This Trebbiano was more dry that sweet which I adore. Aside from the vinos, the sunset views when sitting on the deck are stunning. My partner and I sat and watched the sun go down with glasses in hand. The vino coupled with the views made this outing magical. The service provided by those working here is outstanding. #supportlocal

This is a unique venue in that it's a bit off the beaten path near driftwood, up in a hilly area. GPS guided us there just fine. The distillery is attached to a church and wedding venue, and the wizard academy (which our friend attended for his whiskey sommelier certification). I think the distillery is their own separate business and entity but the property all seems like one thing. The bartender said crowded barrel isn't run or connected to the wizard academy but they are friendly given the shared love of whiskey. At the whiskey academy, so somewhere on the property, is the wizard's whiskey vault. Now that's a room I'd like to get into. But, I'm not trying to be a whiskey Somme, so I'll likely never see it in person. We had a few cocktails and couple of straight pours. If we had come earlier in the day, I would have done a flight in addition, to get more tastes. Come with at least an hour to spend here. I enjoyed the Anejo agave (tequila) spirit and we bought a bottle of the Snake Wood Whiskey. This is a fun and uniquely flavored whiskey. It's a bourbon finished with Brazilian Amburana Oak which lends an interesting cinnamon like taste. But it's not cinnamon, it's like reminiscent of baking spices. Very tasty. The staff were friendly and happy to chat about whiskey. We enjoyed our time there, wish we had been able to spend just a little bit longer but such is life :)

We did a tasting and enjoyed the reds, which were more on the dry side, but I didn't mind because I prefer dry red wines. I definitely recommend the Sangiovese and Alamo Red. Luckily my sister had the reservation email to show them because the girl just kept repeating the same thing until someone senior came by to help us. The wine was tasty but the tasting itself was only moderately enjoyable. The main reason was the tasting was 30-40 minutes long and we just had to stand at a counter. We couldn't order food at the counter either. We are used to tastings being at a table where we do the tasting, order bottles we enjoyed while noshing on food from the menu. Standing for 40 minutes at a counter was not expected or enjoyable. One of our family members has a disability and is unable to stand that long so he and my husband sat outside while the ladies did the wine tasting inside at the counter. It was really disappointing as the expectation was a nice afternoon at the winery with the group and it ended up being two separate groups and standing the whole time at a counter wasn't enjoyable. The wine was good. We brought two bottles home. The experience left a lot to be desired.
