We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.

While I still stand by how our initial experience made us feel, I also think it's important to acknowledge when a business owner responds with professionalism and genuinely works to rebuild trust. Our return visit was a completely different experience. I appreciate the way the owner handled the situation and his willingness to have an open conversation with us. It doesn't change what happened that first night, but it did change my impression of how much he cares about his guests and his business. I wanted my review to reflect that as well.

We are so thrilled that we ended up here. It was the perfect way to end our day. Cozy yet elevated pub atmosphere. Relaxing yet also fun. Great ambiance and good energy amongst staff and customers. There was a wonderful bartender and waiter (both from Ireland) working the night that we went. They were both delightfully witty. Playful banter with one another and with the customers which made our experience quite entertaining. Burgers and fries were DELICIOUS. Both cocktails I ordered were lovely and well made. 10/10 experience. I have already recommended it to friends who are planning a trip to NYC.

Without a doubt, they were among the most succulent and flavorful tacos I have ever had the pleasure of savoring. The freshness and taste were truly unparalleled. It is without hesitation that I declare my intention to return to this establishment, as they offer not only exceptional food but also excellent service and ample seating for those seeking a quick and satisfying meal in the vibrant locale of Spanish Harlem. The atmosphere of the place was also delightful, with lively music playing in the background and friendly staff members who were always ready to assist. Jumbo Hamburgers also does breakfast all day... my teenaged son got French Toast with bananas, and despite his 6-foot-plus frame, and loving every bite, he could not finish it. Their chicken soup hit the spot for my allergy-suffering daughter. And the milkshakes? Superb- thick and sweet and well-mixed. Jumbo Hamburgers opens and closes early... delivery ends at 6 pm, and they close at 7 pm most days (6 pm on Sunday). While I wish they were open late, I'm not gonna question their decision-making... because whatever they are doing... it works. Maybe they just want to avoid too much of a good thing.
