The Win River Casino is our local Redding casino if you're looking for gaming .... the polite way to say "gambling". They have lots of slots to pick from. I'm here actually to go to the restaurant in here. Seasons is basically the all meals restaurant inside the Win River Casino. They open at 6 am for breakfast. The only reason I'm in here in a casino in the morning is I'm meeting one of my corporate bosses whose up from LA. He flew directly into Redding from LAX and loves casinos. I guess this was better for me than to go to Las Vegas to meet him! We need to meet on some stuff and he figured he'd just stay here at the hotel of the casino. I don't normally come to casinos that aren't in Nevada. We meet up around 8am and talk about business and we sit down in Seasons for breakfast. Looking over the menu it seems pretty normal American food. I go for the Chicken fried steak with home fries and scrambled eggs. I ask for lots of gravy on everything including the potatoes. My boss orders the same. Service is pleasant and efficient with the coffee refills. It's not too long and our food arrives. Wow, that's some good looking Chicken Fried Steak! For those of you that don't know, Chicken Fried Steak, isn't chicken, but it's beef, usually a Swiss steak cut that's been tenderized. They call it chicken, cause it's FRIED like a chicken with a batter. Usually deep fried. We both thought the breakfast was scrumptious, this was some of the best gravy I've had, not super gloppy but just thick enough. There was so much food I couldn't finish and took my leftovers back to go. It was a good meeting and breakfast was on the boss. I didn't ask if he won any money or not or if he lost ..... Coming back from Cali, it was straight rain and inclement weather! Parts of the 5 were closed near Redding so we were hanging out in early morning taking the side roads and stopped by here for a bit. Place was inviting and had all the necessities of a casino! Staff seemed cool, they were helpful in getting us oriented and since we were in the 'between hours', when their restaurant would open, which was around 6am :) May be worth exploring if you're in the area! read more

Good morning I stayed at the casino hotel for 4 days 5 nights and it was the worse experience I have ever had . From the time of check in until thr time we left first the room smelled like cat pee and then we went to the seasons to get food and a drink and sat there for over 40 mins then never got food and finally the staff said they never put order in and would we like something else a manager was suppose fo talk to us but never did we order just cheese pizza and ended up with a everything pizza couldn't eat that since I dont eat meat .Then we were at the bar again for drinks and playing at the bar then the security came by told me I had to pound my drink or give it to them and then proceeded to tell my bf that he couldn't have his coffee on floor between 155 and 205 so stupid this casino needs alot of work customer service needs work all in all I rate my stay a -0 it was the worse stay i will continue to go to rolling hills where there friendly and care about there customers read more

The only thing decent about this hotel was the clerks at the check in counter. I stayed at this place only because I was from out of town & attending a family wedding nearby. The freaks come out at night here! Homeless, prostitutes & tweekers galore - roaming around outside all night & inside the casino. 1st night I was there I couldn't sleep from all the noise outside & people running around & fighting in the room above us. The next day a drunk man peed in the elevator. Our room was clean (ok next decent thing) & the 2nd day I had gotten sick of the smoke smell coming from the casino. I was so glad to leave this place. I politely asked if they could stop training for whatever Olympic sport they were practicing above our room. Peace lasted about an hour. Then the stomping resumed -- louder, more chaotic, like they had recruited new members or upgraded to steel-toed boots. Multiple calls later, security finally arrived. Unfortunately, instead of actual security, they sent what appeared to be Jay and Silent Bob's less motivated cousins. The "cop knock" on my door nearly gave me a heart attack, only for them to tell me they stood at the end of the hallway upstairs and heard nothing. Welllll... NO. KIDDING. You can't hear a herd of elephants stampeding in a room when you're 40 feet away leaning on a wall like you're waiting for an Uber. Security looked more annoyed with me than the circus happening above us. Spoiler: nothing improved. The stomping party went ALL night and fired back up at 6am like they were punching a time clock. This review is only for the hotel at Win-River Resort & Casino. We stayed here for the weekend for our hiking trip around the Shasta area, and it was quite nice, especially after hiking all day. So a good night's sleep is just what we needed and what we found here. We had a hotel room with a king size bed, which had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable with clean, cool sheets and a duvet. There was a mini fridge, coffee maker, toiletries, safe, TV with cable, AC, room service, etc. The bathroom was nice with a large shower. We couldn't hear our neighbors or those walking by, so noise wasn't an issue at all. And even though it's in a casino, all the rooms are non-smoking. Amenities included a pool, hot tub, gym, business center and there were two eateries in the casino to dine at. Although this isn't located in downtown Redding or near many businesses, it was a nice stay that was affordable and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and checking in and out was an easy peasy process. I'm glad for the good night's rest during our time in the area. read more

Came from the coast for a Valentines day weekend. I booked the open Bay suite for Sunday 2/15/26. I called at about 2pm and asked about a possible early check in due to a timing error on my part, the woman who answered at the hotel desk was extremely rude stating "we have no availability for early check in" without even asking my name or reservation details. If she had simply stated I'm sorry we don't allow that, that response would have been perfectly acceptable. We went out to eat and shopped to pass the time so it wasn't a big deal. The main issue was this morning we called to ask about a late check out, the website clearly states this is allowed for the type of room we booked. I received the same automated response from her "We don't have availability for late check outs" without so much as asking for any other information. We thoroughly enjoyed our time otherwise gambling and having drinks and enjoying the food. The room was beautiful and clean. Amenities were absolutely wonderful. All other staff were very friendly and helpful. We would have been fine paying extra for a late check out if necessary but she was extremely rude and unhelpful. The kicker was that we ended up taking longer than expected trying to rush out and didn't leave the room until almost noon anyway without so much as an inquiry from housekeeping so it very obviously was not an "availability" issue. We will definitely be staying again in the future because otherwise we really enjoyed the hotel and casino Hopefully the woman who was at the hotel desk can receive some more training and at least pretend to care and be helpful for those who are spending large amounts of money at your establishment. read more

First it's a smoking casino so as soon as you walk in you smell smoke. I saw the security yelling and swearing at a guy and all he was doing was sitting there smoking not doing anything to anyone. I was talking to a guy out in the parking lot and he said that he was sleeping and security woke him up at 245 and said no sleeping here so if you are traveling and tired don't bother going there but there is RV spots to rent. He only came back to cash his ticket out, but as we were talking two guys were doing drugs in a vehicle right next to us, we found that amusing. Yes they do not have complementary drinks not even water. RV parking no review never stayed there and rooms no review because it's been years but I remember carpet stains. Very poor customer service at the bar by the dance floor. The lady bartender was very rude and passive aggressive. I ordered lots of drinks for my friends and she chose to given an attitude because I thought I given her my card and I mistakenly grabbed it. This was resolved within 30 seconds and I apologized because I thought I given it to her. She proceeded to say "I love this, I just love being right all the time". I would expect more professional from a bartender. I would hope win river will hold people accountable and have high standards for customer service. I was going to go and gamble obviously it's a casino lol and my vehicle started breaking down on the way so I was able to limp it there to the parking lot where I tried to flag down security several times he almost ran me over twice trying to pull around me as I'm in the parking lot trying to flag him down and then after that employee after employee comes over works next to me just stares at me texting on the phone and nobody offers any help everybody was very rude so needless to say I didn't spend a dime there once I got my vehicle running again I do not suggest going there read more

We all understand that casinos make money not give it away but I would like some play for my money. Do yourself a favor and drive an hour or so south to Corning. So, I've seen quite a few of them from SoCal to Seattle and back. Support Staff: friendly and courteous, but a bit slow and too focused on many other items besides the customer Rooms: clean, well maintained, comfortable. Dining: not good. Food is average at best (read the reviews), and either they're understaffed or don't care about service or both. Slot and video play: HORRIBLE. I'd give it negative stars. These are the tightest machines my wife and I have EVER experienced. Slot machine payout is awful. Video poker odds and video blackjack odds very very clearly tilted far towards the house. Poker Room: five tables with limited/no cash game options. Staff was great/knowledgeable and in control. I played in a Sunday evening tournament with all the regular locals. Fun and fair. read more

My visit began with a Seasons Restaurant St. Patrick's Day meal of corned beef, veggies and cabbage along with fry bread to start. The corned beef and the veggies were cooked well and the fry bread was good. However, the cabbage wasn't cooked all the way through since it was still hard and needed seasoned better. After picking a few very chintzy slots amid cigarette smoke, I wanted the usual complimentary soda offered at most casinos. In spite of that, there were no machines around. No early check-ins for those driving in from afar. You'll have to find a way to keep yourself busy while you wait for your room to be cleaned. 80 rooms and 4 housekeepers (as we were told) -- um, hotel manager: definitely something wrong with that ratio if you're finding the property to be "sold out" every night. The casino is small and although my girlfriend and I didn't stay down there very long -- I will share that the floor managers are rude and lack basic hospitality training. It was our first time there and we were left with a really bad first impression. The pool area is nice -- plenty of kids and shaded seating areas. There were a lot of families hanging out there along with our party. We spent about 4 to 5 hours just lounging by the pool while my nieces and nephew played in the swimming pool. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We booked one of their Junior Suites which is essentially two rooms laid out as one. It came with one King size bed, 1.5 bath, and a "living room" separated by a TV stand in the middle of the room. The couch rolled out to a futon bed which was nice. We also had a small bar area with a sink which made it easy for our group because we brought groceries to make sandwiches. The property is 100% smoke free (except for the casino side of the resort) and there is complimentary WiFi. The spa and gym are not reopened as of yet. It's not a luxurious or fancy place to stay but it will work for those who are just passing through. read more

Definitely don't recommend staying in the hotel. We paid $239 to stay here because there was a jacuzzi in the room according to the website. We've stayed here before and there was an actual jacuzzi in the room. This time it was a sad jetted tub in the bathroom. I'm pissed that we paid $40 more for a room and didn't get what we were supposed to. And this was just the beginning of the issues. All of the elevators have been down most of the night. When we checked in, people were checking out of rooms they had just checked into because they couldn't get up the stairs. We walked up three flights of stairs to our room thinking it had a jacuzzi in it. I've been having some medical issues lately, to the tune of going to the dr on Friday to get a shot of toradol for the pain. The cable fuzzes out about every ten minutes, no matter what channel you're watching. So it's not like you can watch anything and actually see all of what's going on. Oh and our toilet is broken apparently, which i didn't discover until 5 this morning. I don't think we're staying here again. Kinda bummed because it's a really beautiful hotel, just seems like they can't maintain it. read more

Stayed in the hotel one night. Bedding was fresh, bathroom clean and room was quiet enough, but when we went to the hot tub and pool area the following morning we found it to be disgusting. The hot tub was luke warm, not hot enough. The jets were weak and barely pushed water. The tiles had scum built up on them as though they hadn't been cleaned in over a year. The outside of the building needed a power washing as the dirt and cobwebs darkened the building and made it look like Halloween spook house. Only got in as far as my knees, turned around to grab the towel I brought and no further than 4 feet from the hot tub and table was a puke on the cement. All this after I was assured that maintenance workers had just visited this area earlier that morning... I suppose those workers didn't care about their job or what they were presenting to their hotel guests. This hotel doesn't maintain their property in a manner that is welcoming. Don't depend on hospitality or this hotel having the amenities they claim. read more

I stay here onve or twice a year. I have found it always to be clean, front desk peopel are friendly, the treadmill works great, and beds are comfortable. The last time they had nice body pillows. Had the opportunity to enjoy this Casino/Resort and I can understand why they have a 2.5 star rating. My experience was good overall. It seems that during the week there are a number of "trainees" and I can understand they have to start somewhere. Some of the experiences I can comment on are as follows: First, everyone on staff was absolutely wonderful. From the Front Desk to the wait staff and bartenders. A trainee at one of their bars didn't know how to make an Old Fashioned or what a Midori Sour was. And couldn't locate it even though it was obvious where it was. As I mentioned, a trainee. That's okay. The food overall in the Seasons restaurant was standard faire. The ribeye wasn't the greatest but again the service was excellent. All other food options were tasty. The casino was a blast, the pool area was phenomenal and the room was the highlight. Overall a very good experience and I'd stay and gamble here again. I do recommend! read more

This review is only for the RV Park. While it is cheap, there is absolutely no shade. It's hot in Redding. RVs need some shade. The 30 amp plug that I plugged into kept breaking. I ended up plugging into the 50 amp and used and adaptor. The water connection needed replacing. I couldn't get a leak-free connection. The employees were great. read more

I'm surprised at the other bad reviews here, so maybe we just got lucky, or else they've fixed some of their issues. We stopped here on a long drive up to the PNW and stayed overnight. The location was a bit farther off the I-5 than I expected, but it was fair. Parking lot was big and had no issue finding a spot for our van and U-Haul trailer. A security guy driving around in a cart spotted us and drove us to the front entrance. Check-in was fine, and we were given our two queen room number. The room itself was great. Beds comfy, wifi worked great, TV was good with lots of channels, nice desk, fridge, bathroom was clean and everything worked fine, etc. I was very pleased with the room. We headed out to to the cafe (the restaurant is closed for renovations, it appears) and ordered a burger and a veggie pizza. Tasted great (better than I expected, honestly). Weird that you couldn't charge to the room, but no biggie. Had a great night sleep, shower, etc. In the morning, we delayed our departure by 20 minutes to catch the cafe again at 6am, and our breakfast burritos were (again) really good. Have to say that the cafe exceeded my expectations for such a small place and limited menu. We checked out, headed north, all done. I would definitely stay here again. We did not gamble (no time, and we were tired), but I did like that they had a no smoking section. It was almost completely empty, but nice nonetheless. I hope this might offset some of the other reviews, but from our family's perspective, this was a great visit with zero issues or complaints. read more

My boyfriend paid over $50 for our two iceberg salads, mac and cheese that is giving him sharp abdominal pains, and my box tasting fettuccini alfredo. Everything sounded good on the menu, but it was a huge waste of money- very misleading. However, we really did like the hotel and casino itself!
