Prefer the winans location at the Greene or Dowtown Dayton. Yesterday around noon, I ordered an iced latte and ended up getting a drink that was extremely milky and watery. When I needed nicely asked to have it stronger/have more coffee ratio (like how it is at the other locations) they didn't want to help though there was no one else in line. Maybe ask to get hot shots (means real espresso not concentrate or iced coffee they normally use for iced lattes) to get a stronger coffee if that's what you want. read more

11/20/22 I came here with my fiancé for a coffee treat and to explore this place as it was my first time here. We ordered an iced coffee sugar free Carmel kiss with almond milk and a mocha. The drinks were prepared quickly but the mocha drink wasn't as flavorful yet we had already left or would've asked for something else. The drinks in my opinion are similar to Starbucks pricing, but could use more sugar free and nut milk options. read more

Enjoying coffee at my local coffee shop @winanschocolate. I tried their iced peppermint mocha coffee and really liked this holiday flavor. It pairs so well with the peppermint bark chocolate. The bark was my favorite. I'll definitely be gifting it to my chocolate lovers! Great service and ambiance! read more

Got coffee and hot chocolate from here. The coffee was good and the hot chocolate was excellent. The staff are polite and friendly. There is parking just outside. They BBC also have a great selection of chocolates and wine. read more

When I first started going here, I really liked it. As I started coming more and doing my homework inside, there would be gnats flying everywhere (behind the counter, in front of the counter, around the tables), there was nowhere inside without gnats flying around. I have supported Winans due to having wonderful Coffee but also as a self- declared privately owned business. You have disappointed me as well as others. The policy of buy 10 cups and have the next one free seemed fair. I was told today a "Corporate decision " to change that policy into an outrageous point system. $1.00 spent = 1 point. 100 points = a free cup of coffee. Seriously? You have forgotten about customer loyalty and that decision has lost my business as well as many of my friends. Will that decision be worth the business lost.? I don't think so. read more

I used to come to this location and read while my kids were at soccer practice. Today is the reason I will not being coming back. Ordered two cups of coffee inside. While that also took a while, the two ladies and the young gentleman trainee were just having fun. It took 10 minutes to get my coffees and as I tried to sit and relax, the employees only got louder and less respectful to everyone in the building who was also reading and doing similar things. This location needs to put more TLC in the drink making process. Stir the latte up with some soulful energy, the syrup can't just be at the bottom of the cup. One of the worst locations , the flowers in the drive thru are pretty though. read more

I'm a frequent visitor (almost daily) to my local Winans in Columbus and was disappointed to see that not all locations are as amazing as what I'm used to. There was approximately one person working on a Saturday morning, which meant she had to take care of inside, the drive thru, and make all of the drinks. She was very stressed and I felt bad for her. Of course based on these circumstances my drink was made so incorrectly I wasn't even sure what I was drinking. Who is managing this place? What a disappointment. read more

I visited the Dayton Mall location almost daily for years. We have since been frequenting this location since the Winans at the Dayton Mall closed. We drove up tonight at exactly 8:00 pm. The hours online say open until 9:00 pm and the NEON "OPEN" sign was lit in the front window. We pulled up to the speaker and waited. Nothing. Saw someone inside at the drive-thru window. Continued to wait at the speaker. Nothing. I then pulled up to the window and the girl opened it only to tell me they were closed. At exactly 8:00, with your OPEN sign still lit, I would say it would be best practice to serve that customer. The store would have made $10 in less than the 60 seconds it took to pour two iced coffees - black. As other coffee shops have popped up all around town, I have remained loyal to Winans. Knowing there are so many other options for coffee, unfortunately, this one terrible experience will stick with me and from here on out, I will choose to spend my money elsewhere. read more

Love the coffee here and the chocolates are dangerous. A little pricey but every time I've spent the money on it, I don't end up regretting it. Can't speak a ton for the other stores but the Centerville staff knows how to pull shots really well. If you're an espresso person, don't fear getting it here. Staff is friendly. So slow. Was only vehicle in the drive through when we pulled up, with two drinks ordered and waited 15 minutes. Another vehicle pulled up behind us and ended up just leaving. As a former barista I can be very picky about coffee but not with Winans! Their coffee is fresh and the beans are perfectly roasted. The expresso shots are pulled expertly and can be made into tasty lattes. The chocolates are always a perfect treat, especially the double dark meltaways. The new bar menu is so fun! My favorites are the boozy cold brew and frozen sangria. Not to mention the wines that pair perfectly with chocolate! read more

My go-to espresso and chocolate shop ! They have a drive - thru which makes it even better. THey offer options like almond milk unlike the large chains in the area. Try out their double dark melt away chocolate or dark chocolate sea salt caramel ! This place is the best ! read more

I love coffee, I am an avid coffee drinker. I would say Winans is one of my favorite places to get coffee typically, but I truly would never go back to this location on far Hills again. I have frequented this location because it is convenient for me on my way to work, unfortunately their coffee is terribly inconsistent. Until visiting this location I had never had a coffee from Winans that was not outstanding. Today I ordered an iced Americano which I frequently get it, it tastes horrible. I even went back to the drive-through and asked nicely if they could remake it for me and explained that I was not upset but my coffee did not taste good, the girl at the window remade it for me and I drove away to taste that it was no different. I'm usually not one to complain but I thought with all of the bad experiences I have had here I would not recommend for anybody to visit this store. Disappointed.... read more

The service is professional and friendly, the coffee is just fine but the chocolates are average. Still-a comfortable place to be.

New management has taken over and the store has really gone down hill. I was a frequent visitor at this location! But the new management brought in a very fake uncomfortable attitude and doesn't know how to make simple coffee. I ask for a caramel latte every time I go in, twice she gave me vanilla, over charged me, and they are more like cappuccinos than an actual latte. I've also noticed recently they have had a really big issue with ants! I can no longer sit and enjoy my drinks with out ants on the tables or in the sofa chairs.
