This cute little coffee and wine shop located in Dayton Ohio was a delightful find! The my husband really enjoyed the regular coffee and we also had milk chocolate peanut butter and dark chocolate caramel eggs that they have for purchase for the Easter holiday. The service was pretty good just not super welcoming when we walked in. We really liked the look and feel of the shop. They had regular tables, a high bar top, and a few comfy upholstered chairs also. read more

I walked in. It's raining not a great day. I'm cold. I I'd like to have a latte and get my mom some chocolates and wine for Mother's Day. But the girls behind the counter had other plans. Some friends of hers were in, and I tried to entertain myself why they continued their conversation with looking around at the items for sale, but they were completely uninterested in serving me at all. For 10 minutes I listen to conversations about Their garden and how many peppers they grow and does she use enough during the winter and people need to pull weeds if they wanna come get free veggies from her garden and then there was talk about their church... I was completely ignored until I walked out. I walked out and she comes to tap on my window to tell me that she was trying to motion me forward. At no point did she motion me forward at no point did she say can I help you make eye contact with me or acknowledge me in anyway until after she'd wasted my time and I left. She didn't even offer to discount a drink for me after treating me so rudely... I do not recommend this location. This woman acts like she's just sitting in her kitchen, chatting with friends not actually working for the betterment of a business. The other young lady was more concerned with restocking everything than she was even acknowledging my presence. Very, very rude dismissive behavior. read more

My friend and I meet here weekly for coffee and often bring our small children. The staff is always so sweet greeting us and our kiddos. The coffee is always fantastic and the cafe is adorable -especially after the remodel!! My ONLY complaint is that it almost uncomfortable to sit in the cafe in the morning because the sun coming in is absolutely blinding. Can you pretty please put in some blinds? We're unfortunately going to a different Winans because we can't comfortably sit and chat in the morning :( read more

I'm in town for awhile and this place was close and I stopped in. It's really cute, clean and has good sweets to go along with your coffee. I really enjoyed the coffee that was recommended to me by the young boy and the chocolate although a bit expensive was good. I wasn't a fan of the peanut butter one as it overwhelmed me but the caramel one was to die for. Their covid setup was nice but they could do a little better at enforcing it but nothing too bad. read more

Sign posted said do not handle pastries, our staff will assist. We purchased chocolates, coffee and two muffins. We got home and they did not put the muffins in the bag, we called them and said they would refund it may take a couple of days we can call back. This is my FAVORITE Winan's location for one reason. The special cold brews! Winans in a solid establishment. I've never had a bad experience at any of their locations. We love Winans! Every time we stay in Dayton, we have to stop by! The coffee here is wonderful and the chocolates are delicious. I prefer an iced latte with one or two pumps of syrup. There are plenty of syrup choices, but they appear to be Torani brand. I HIGHLY recommend getting a truffle while you're there. The espresso ones are fantastic! This location has good seating, but the parking lot can be right depending on your time of visit. Winans is definitely worth it! read more

This rating is due to the past 3 visits when we purchased strawberry &/or strawberry banana smoothies. The first two times there was no strawberry flavor at all. It was barely pink so we should have known before we walked out the door. The second time the employee who made them was told by another employee that she did it wrong & they asked if we minded if they were re made, we said yes, obviously. After the employee tried again, we left disappointed again. Threw both away when we came in the door at home. We didn't want to upset the employee as she appeared new & just needed additional training. Yesterday, third try to see if they could get it right. I told the staff about the last 2 visits & how disappointed my husband & I had been. One of the employees said she would try to make us smoothies & she thought they would be very good. Unfortunately she was wrong. Both had huge ice chunks (opposite of smooth) and the flavor is still an issue. Just disappointed . read more

Love the local chain. Love the chocolates. Chocolate covered pretzels, espresso beans, Oreos, and truffles too. Plenty of dark chocolate all around. They also make a good mocha and have free wifi. I have never loved winans coffee, but that somewhat comes down to your barista. Some have made fantastic lattes while others have been very mediocre. If every location was universally good, they would be next level. I guess their flavored and sugary options are more consistent. This location doesn't have as much character or comfort as some others, but there is a lot of space. Better for groups (up to 6-8?) than your usual little coffee places. Check it out if especially if you're a chocoholic like me! read more

We purchased a Groupon to purchase "tea or coffee" at Winans. My husband likes their coffee and will occasionaly purchase coffee beans there for home. It did not say anywhere on the Groupon page that they only you to purchase coffee that they make there. So instead of getting to enjoy their coffee at home we must now drive down there and purchase a drink from the-one at a time. Their coffee may be good but we appreciate merchants that honor obligations the way they are written and don't make up new rules as they go. read more

Friendly staff and locally roasted coffee; what's not to like. If I still ate chocolate judging from the spread in the case I could have fun trying that as well.
