Sweet Tooth loves it here! Yes, my sweet tooth loves honey dipped donuts. Sometimes it yelps for a crunchy cinnamon apple roll, but rarely can it not be satisfied here. Coffee is pretty good, too! =D

Thanks for ruining my love for donuts!!

Litteraly made me not like donuts anymore, I used to love donuts. Now all I think of is the cockroach I found in my donuts when coming here. One night I went to this Winchell's in Alisal, and got my donuts. Came back home and opened the box and there it was, this big ass roach starring at me from the top of my glaze twist I returned it and the lady still gave me attitude and said it wasn't from there. How else would a roach get into the sealed box from Winchell's to my house??? A 5 min drive. Smh ‍ thanks for ruining my love for donuts! Seriously it was ruined, ever since then, I can't eat donuts because it reminds of this.

    Winchells coffee and donut.

Good coffee , good donuts , stop by every morning. Their customer servicio is ok, overall good place to stop get your coffee , donut and go.

Guess they aren't open 24 hours a day even though they have a neon sign that says they are.

Only make donuts in the morning. No use of having the store open 24 hours when donuts are old and the selection is highly limited.

I chose this restaurant because i have a love of sandwiches , primarily in my area of Salinas... some other places that have been around for a very long time so read my review with that in mind please... As much as i enjoy giving 5 stars reviews to promote new and older businesses local! i must be very honest. I ordered a turkey sandwich with garlic pesto sauce, added extra meat and it came with cheese and lettuce tomatoes. i love sourdough a lot... my bread was very difficult to even bite into literally. I have to say the meat was minimal a thin slice of cheese and i could barely see the added avacado we added. i was hungry the size of sandwich as or looked big 8 inch. i as handed my sandwich and hubby says i hope you enjoy as it was $25 for the sandwich so i knew before i unwrapped it! I'm sorry, but i probably would have to give a 2 for the sauce taste of a hint of garlic pesto sauce is green usually and overall this sandwich was just A lot of "bread" not worth $25 i feel it could of been better ! for the extras we added and barely saw any of it period. In my opinion people making sandwiches either didn't weigh the amount of meats out in sandwiches and don't understand the extra and how much it costed. The presentation of sandwich was very professional. but not worth $25 at all. I hope management sees this review because i was hoping this would have been my new place for a good sandwich. the menu has so many selections. but unfortunately i can't see chancing spending $50 for two sandwich meals also side note: i didn't order full meal either no chips of drink. please give quality and quantity new time to avoid un happy customers. thanks anyways, i hope this place improves for future customers and maybe one day i'll try again?! just a lot of $$ for very little food and mostly bread and way to hard to eat... regards, Corina

Every time we drive home from Monterey, I always see the big red Yelp sign that reads best BBQ…read more That sign did its' job and it got me intrigued and grabbed my attention. We finally got the chance to check it out. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The Prunedale Market is located along side the highway 101 freeway in the small town of Prunedale. It just takes a few long right turns to get there. Parking is easy and accessible out in the front parking lot. From the front, the market does not look like a popular BBQ spot. It looks like a simple small market store to grab quick snacks and drinks. Once inside there is a BBQ and deli section to your right. A small dining area is to your left. The decor is old fashioned and quaint. The 2 gentlemen greet you with friendly hospitality. We ordered the Tri tip sandwich, half slab of ribs which includes 2 potatoes and a cup of corn chowder. The pit master/owner Martin, who use to work for Original Joe's, was kind enough to also include a quarter chicken leg, a sausage, and extra ribs. It was so much food for our party of 3. Everything was delicious and hearty. The Tri tip sandwich was scrumptious with the flaming Fritos adding a nice crunchy texture and kick with every bite. The ribs were juicy and smokey. Potatoes complemented very well with the rest of the meat and chicken. Corn chowder was so tasty and creamy. I did not know corn chowder was that good. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Prunedale Market. The staff were super nice and accommodating. They even offered for our son to grab some free ice cream to go. We politely declined. The prices were very reasonable. All that food fed us for the next 2 days. Lol. We hope to be back when we are in the area with other friends and family.

Starting with the Supercharger, this was easily the standout of the two. It's loaded with roast beef, bacon, turkey, ham, salami, pepperoncini, tomatoes, red onions, gouda cheese, and chipotle aioli on a ciabatta roll. They definitely don't skimp on the meat, which makes it super satisfying. The combination of the soft ciabatta and cheese worked really well together and balanced out the heaviness of the meats. My only complaint is that it could've used a bit more sauce, something like extra mustard or mayo would've taken it to the next level. Still, a strong 8.5/10. The Belair was decent but didn't quite hit the same level. It came with turkey breast, bacon, gouda cheese, spring mix, tomatoes, red onions, pepperoncini, and chipotle aioli on fresh sliced sourdough. Ours actually came with American cheese instead of gouda, which slightly changed the flavor profile. It was a good sandwich overall, but noticeably drier, especially with the sourdough, so it definitely needed more sauce to bring everything together. I'd give it a 7.2/10. Service was fast and efficient, which I appreciated. The ambiance stood out too, it has a cool retro gas station vibe that gives the place some personality and makes it feel unique. Staff was friendly, and the overall experience was smooth.

This is truck stop elegance at its best. And frankly I wouldnt have it any other way. A big room with lots of tables, booths lining both sides of the windowed walls.
