Two large coffees, part of a blueberry donut, part of the coffee cake donut, and regular raised glazed donut

DH came here to pick up a few donuts and coffee for us. There is a back parking lot with more spaces. He said this place definitely had a diner vibe. It is not bougie. This is where the regular people get their breakfast items. It took a while to get the order filled, as one worker was occupied making bagel sandwiches. DH wished there were labels on the donuts. Employees were nice and friendly. The blueberry donut was the best one of the bunch. It is not available every day, but it is a "special" quite often. Popular too, as they were nearly sold out around 8 AM. Very delicate texture, packed with blueberry flavor, topped with glaze, it was the crowd favorite. Ohhhhh...we wished we got more! The plain glazed was a good size, super soft and fluffy, without any stale oil aftertaste. Excellent! The coffee cake donut was good, packed with strong cinnamon flavor, perfect with their coffee. Coffee is strong and hearty. Nothin' fancy, but had enough caffeine to keep us goin' all morning long. Pretty good deal for 3 donuts and 2 large coffees for less $10. Next time, we will get more blueberry donuts and maybe try the bagel sandwiches!

Donuts are good and I can see the authenticity being open since 1950, but the service was not good!! Lady was rude about us asking questions about the menu and scoffed when we decided to add more donuts to our order... but like isn't that what we came for?! She also charged us wrong too and was just rude. Made the experience subpar.

I've heard rave reviews about reds donuts and had to try for myself. I went with the classic glazed donut. It was delicious! It tasted fresh and had the perfect amount of flaking/cracking. My husband got the glazed old fashion- another classic. Prices were very reasonable and service was quick and friendly. There is a cute "diner" vibe on the side of the donut counter that I'm assuming has a different menu? Overall, I'd love to come back and recommend to anyone in the area.

Great service and great donuts. I was in and out with my dozen in minutes! Good location off Highway One on East side.

I ordered a half dozen donuts. The glazed donuts were very fluffy. The maple glazed and chocolate glazed were good as well.

It didn't look like it died down which is awesome for this business. I believe I waited 20-30 minutes in line before I reached the display case. There were so many delicious things to choose from, it was a challenge to decide! I opted for a croissant sandwich, a blue corn cookie, and some sweet treats for the beach. I also ordered a seasonal latte, I believe it was cherry chocolate with oat milk less sweet. There's a nice outdoor seating area with many tables in chairs. Since the weather was nice we decided to stop and eat for a bit. The ambience was very nice and calm. The food was delicious and their house made pickles were fantastic. They were crisp, fresh, and complimented the turkey sandwich so well. The blue corn cookie was very interesting and reminiscent of a tortilla chip. I'd definitely come back here if I were in the area.

Charming bakery and cafe with plenty of outdoor seating in the back connecting garden…read more Nice flaky, buttery dough on their pastries. Latte was decent, not too bitter or acidic and it was creamy They try a lot of variations for pastries, both savory and sweet! The savory danish was really tasty and there was some pickled / citrus component that added more depth and made it super interesting to eat! The salmon croissant was alright, had a really nice flaky crust but the filling tasted kinda gamey , would've been nice to have another component to balance it out. Cookies were niceeeee the buckwheat choco cookie had nice amounts of sea salt and was like a brownie texture on the inside. Choco chip cookie was thin and crispy on the outside with chocolate blobs spread around, quite sweet though There was a line going out the door but only had to wait around 15 min!

To say I am disappointed in the $70 Birthday cake my husband purchased is an understatement…read more He ordered a lemon cake with raspberry preserves with buttercream icing. What we received was a dry cake with hardly any flavor. My Mother thought it was just a yellow cake, she couldn't even taste the lemon. And she is an experienced baker. She made our lemon and raspberry wedding cake, that my husband was trying to recreate. The raspberry "preserves" were gelatinous, like pie filling from a can. Preserves should be a jam like consistency, only with larger fruit pieces. But sadly, this was goopy and artificial tasting. And the buttercream was greasy, not creamy, like it was made from Crisco shortening (not butter), sugar and water. It didn't even have any flavor (maybe they forgot to put vanilla extract in it?) Even the construction of the cake was poor. They clearly didn't put enough batter in the pans. Normally you shave the rounded top off to make it flat. This bakery just added tons of icing in an attempt to make up for the rounded edges. Which also meant there were barely any raspberry "preserves" in between the layers. And last but not least. When my husband special ordered the cake (in person) he asked for white sprinkles. When he arrived to pick up the cake, it wasn't ready. And they told him they didn't have white sprinkles. And offered to cover the entire cake in tiny rock hard pearls, that are typically only used sparingly for decorative purposes. Because they are so hard, many decorators recommend removing them before eating! My Dad bit into it and said it was like trying to eat buck shot. My Father has never met a cake or sweet he didn't like, until now. He didn't want another piece during his entire visit. My mother and I didn't even finish our first piece. To charge $70 for this 8" cake was just criminal. I would have returned it if I could.
