Arrived for a meeting in Hollister early and hadn't had breakfast so stopped in for the tried and true test to any good donut shop, a glazed raised and plain cake donut. They were VERY good! The glazed donut sweet n' tasty with a "perfect squish" and cake was "fresh" and simple. The service was quick and friendly. If I lived in Hollister this would be my go to donut place. Made the wrong order because they c have way too many choices and can't figure out what the customer is ordering. Almost walked out without my food due to frustration. Always in line out the door, they do not have enough people working, I went in to get my daughter a birthday bagel and they were out. They said we had to wait another hour so she didn't get her birthday bagel even though they said they open at a certain time they do not have everything that the advertise. Also, I went today and I waited 45 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese . Do not recommend I only go here because it's like the only option in Hollister, but there are places in San Jose. They get you out in five minutes with lines out the door for the same order. read more

No frills donut shop! Service is quick and efficient. She'll greet each customer when they reach the front, take their order, and thank them when the transaction is done. Raised glazed donut is fantastic. Fluffy and fresh, can't ask for anything else! Blueberry cake donut was a pleasant surprise since I don't see that often. It's not artificially colored and has blueberries scattered in the dough. Not too sweet and half glazed on the top portion. I know it's round, but there were some crispy "edges" which gave it a nice texture. Accidentally bought an old-fashioned glazed because I truly thought it was synonymous with raised and wasn't paying attention when it was put into my bag. It has a hint of lemon and a little too sweet for my liking. They have a lot of the traditional donuts like cake donut with sprinkles, coconut shreds, cinnamon. Raised and twists with maple, chocolate or regular glazed. Bagels, breakfast sandwiches, croissants (don't expect French laminated croissants though). Our go to spot for donuts in Hollister! They use a potato flour for their donuts that makes them so tasty. They can get really busy on the weekend with a line out the door, but totally worth the wait. And the line moves fairly quickly. Fun family tradition of bringing the little one here to pick out her favorite donut. My favorite donut shop ever since moving to Hollister almost 10 years ago. The donuts are so delicious and soft, and their breakfast sandwiches are mouthwatering. It's just a shame they close so early. I would go more often if they closed a little later, but nonetheless I really like this place. The donuts here are great. They're fresh, taste like donuts are supposed to taste and they have a good selection. Our grandsons love to get Spudnuts donuts when they come for a visit. The older grandson is now 14 yo. He's been going on donut runs in pajamas with grandpa since he was young enough to pick out his own donut and didn't yet have a younger brother who is now 8 yo. Best donut spot in Hollister (is there even another?)! I also really like the breakfast sandwiches, especially the Mexican fiesta (SO TASTY!!) on either bagel or croissant. Be ready to wait as they always have a line but I promise it is worth it!! The ladies are always friendly but they always only have 2 people (understaffed). I have gotten coffee smoothies here twice now, today being the second and unless you want something even sweeter than Starbucks, I recommend skipping em altogether. Mine have both tasted like nothing but syrup, ended up tossing em. I haven't had their hot coffees as they are served in Styrofoam cups and I've increased my chances of getting cancer by drinking hot drinks from Styrofoam as a child enough for a few lifetimes. read more

About 4 months ago, I was visiting Hollister and was in the shopping center washing my clothes at the Laundromat when I happened to come across this place. Not really a big donut eater anymore, so I opted on getting a sandwich. I ordered the Turkey/Cheese Garlic Butter sandwich. I ordered just one, and me and my lady friend split it, because we were going to have some different food later. We just ate this to hold us over until we really went to go get some food. When I first bit into the sandwich, it was like biting into Heaven. The flavors were on point and just went so well together. This has to be hands down the BEST turkey sandwich that I have ever had. I know you are reading this and wondering, if he feels like that, then why only 2 Stars?! Well I will tell you why. I have been back twice since that first time on a quest to get that special sandwich. The first time was 2 months ago. I had to go back to Sacramento, so I was at the shop 10 minutes before it opened for business. There was already a small group of people outside waiting. They were all older men looking like elderly and/or retired regulars who have made this place their hang out spot. I knew this to be true, because once the doors were opened, this group went in and set the tables and chairs up, and even brought the patio furniture outside. I went inside, being the 2nd customer for the day, and I ordered the beloved sandwich. I was told that they were not ready, they would have to prep them. Give them about an hour. Of course I was bummed on hearing that, because I thought that I would be eating my sandwich as I drove back to Sacramento. So against my better thinking, I left and found something to do for an hour, then I went back to this place to order....and they STILL did not make any moves to prep for my sandwich. I was given another excuse. Fast Forward to this past weekend. I'm in town again, and I go over to the shop at around 10am to order the sandwich. When we arrive, the line is out there door (due to Covid spacing), but there were still quite a few people there. So I figured either the coffee must be very good, or the donuts are also superb. Finally I get to the front of the line. We order two sandwichesva . Pay for them, then go outside to wait the 10 to 15 minutes they said it would take to make them. We ended up walking over to Dollar Tree and into the grocery store to get something to drink. We figured by the time we left those stores, our sandwiches would be ready. WRONG. (side note: As I'm typing this I went back to try to add some more info, but it will not let me go back into what I wrote to edit, that is why it says sandwhichesva due to not letting me edit. Along with those sandwiches we ordered like 6 donuts) Now that I said that, back to the story. We get back to the place thinking we are going to pick up our food. These people tell us, "Oh we were looking for you, because we ran out of Turkey.." WTF? How you run out of turkey on one of the most popular items on the menu? How do you charge someone and then remember 20 minutes later that you don't have the product? You don't go to McDonalds, order a Fillet o Fish, pay for it, wait for it, then they tell you they don't have it!! Where do they do that at???? I'll tell you where, HOLLISTER!! You need to step your customer service up. Oh, and the donuts were not too good. Whoever said these were the best donuts have obviously never had good donuts. The apple fritter that I ordered was nothing to write home about. I have had better donuts from 711. read more
