I explained I needed a replacement spring done, and after a few questions, texting some photos, he determined that the one spring I had wasn't enough, and even quoted me a price over the phone. Showed up the next day ONTIME! Did the springs, found a frayed cable, and serviced the rest of the door. Runs quieter and smoother. Same flat rate he quoted (very reasonable) and was pleasant to work with. His wife collecting payment over the phone was equally pleasant to work with. WOULD RECOMMEND!!!

My garage door was bucking while closing so I thought it might be a broken spring. The service men…read morearrived promptly and noticed immediately that it was not a broken spring but rather a loose bolt on the closing mechanism which took them only 5 minutes to fix by putting a lock washer on the bolt. This was apparently an error when the mechanism was first installed. They were very happy they found the problem so quickly and joked that a blind man could have noticed the problem which I found to be offensive. I think the proper thing they should have done in this case was to chock it off to customer good will rather than charge me the full fee for a service call. They did not take responsibility for that error, so I will not use them again.

I made keys for many, many years and know what should be charged. An old Ford ignition key that I made for $2.50 cost me $8. A single sided Yale key that I made for $1.25 cost me $3.50.
