This my normal grocery store. I like the bulk foods and that the staff is so invested in the store. I have found that the box items or packaged food are at or even above cost on the other bigger chain stores. The vegetables, meat, and dairy are usually lower. Since I eat mostly those three things I come out ahead. The dry bulk stuff like the coffee, nuts, spices, and grind your own nut butters can't be beat on price. The only complaint I have is the same everywhere so I'm not dropping them a star, it's the lack of checkers. There's always a line then you have to hurry to bag your stuff. Why have so many registers if you only open one or two lines? read more

Be nice to the cashiers! They always work so hard. The store is always clean and all the staff are so friendly. My only complaint is they leave stuff in the middle of the aisles when they're stocking and it makes it really hard to get thru the aisle. read more

I love that they're employee-owned, but every time I shop here, it's a frustrating experience. It's very poorly-run.

We haven't had anymore delusional cashiers refusing to check us out so that's a great improvement. We had to take a long break from here after the past experience but have returned. They have a decent selection and prices are more reasonable on some things over other grocery stores. We do really wish they would carry Meyenburg goat milk though. read more

Went to the store like so many other times and the shopping itself was great but we opted to checkout at self check thinking it would be a bit easier and faster because of substantial lines. That was a mistake! The balance of the weight on the register wasn't working correctly and continued to malfunction. An attendant came over and tried to explain how the scales worked as though we were not grasping the concept. He then pushed the button at the call station to allow us to move forward and again same problem over and over again but instead of just assisting then closing the register or moving I to another he Instead walked away from his post. We nearly gave up and walked out! Never again will we use self check!! read more

We have been coming to this location for years now. Exclusively getting our groceries here. The experience last night has changed our mind. My wife (31) and I (35) came in with our infant daughter to buy over 100$ in food, and a box of wine. The woman behind the counter carded my wife, and then carded me. though I forgot my ID. She said she couldn't sell us the alcohol because she "doesn't make the TABC laws." However, as I'm very familiar with TABC laws, and was certified for 7 years here in Texas, and know this is a lie. If she had told me it was store policy, that would've been one thing, but it seems unethical to make up fake laws because you want to enforce store policy. Then, when I told her that's not a law, instead of discussing it further, she said she would call the manager. That's just poor customer service. It should've been a judgement call. I don't even drink and we live all the way in ponder. My wife just wanted a glad of wine with our dinner and it didn't have to be this huge deal to do so. read more

Almost everything was completely perfect. They only lacked one product I needed out of the tons of stuff I bought, everyone who helped me was courteous and kind, and the product selection is great, as are the prices. The big sting was ringing up at the front only to learn that my assumption of being able to use a credit card was incorrect. OUCH! I needed the float and this hits my budget in a bad bad way unless I can get a cash advance or pay some other bill with my CC. I know prices are kept cheaper in part due to not taking credit, so I'm not going to demand credit or withhold future business. I'll just have to plan for this next time I wanna do a major grocery run at the start of the month. read more

I love this place. It is way cheaper than others and that wholesale pick-n-mix section is adictive. My favorite has to be the in house sushi! Also, everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. The downsides is that they don't have everything I need like a bigger box of Luv's diapers and some prices for things are more than Walmart, like frozen chicken breast and pasta. Even though I end up having to go to different places, the savings in groceries every month is enormous! If I could make another suggestion, this didn't effect my rating, they should add a place to return bags for recycling. read more

They're extremely slacking on a few items still but they do have my tasty bites korma curry. I don't understand the malfunction of the remainder of what I'm about to discuss. No meyenberg goat milk in a large carton that I have to go to natural grocers for, no one liter glass bottle mexico cocacola and I believe the price is up past a dollar for the normal sized ones(not cool) kroger and the devil store both have them for 90something¢ and feces devouring management at drug emporium has the freakn glass liter under $1. There's sliced but no diced frozen chicken. They won't allow you to have them make a pizza for you in the deli that makes their own pizzas for the store too, I spoke with a manager about it. That unprofessional petty bs alone has me down to one star at this juncture. Why have a deli if we can't use it ignorant bastards? Who makes janky decisions like that. I wanted to replace my other shopping stops with winco but if it continues like this I'm probably not going to keep going unfortunately read more

Imagine the prices of Sack n Save, but the quality of Super H Mart. You can find a lot here that you can't find at other food stores, as well. I am glad that Denton finally has one. We shop here more than any other place, when buying groceries. read more

WHAT A LET DOWN! I've just had the most unpleasant experience in this store at Rayzor Ranch located at University & I35. In the past, the staff have mostly been professional, helpful and friendly. As my husband and I unloaded our groceries today the cashier acted "rushed" and aggravated. She was abrupt, rude and made me feel as if she had more important things to do than take my cash for my groceries. When I laughingly asked if she was in a hurry she replied yes she was always in a hurry to get to the next client. We were the only ones in her line at the time and the entire checkout was only mildly busy. What a disappointment! So many other places are more than happy to see us and willing to treat us with at least the most basic common courtesy. Smh. Don't waste your time. read more

Place is open 24/7 and is kept clean and organized. Workers offer assistance and they will even take you to what you are searching for instead of you attempting to find the item yourself. A lot of the bulk Foods are CHEEp. Meat is cheep and very tasty. There's a variety of everything. Produce is a smaller section sadly. Deli has a lot of option. Has a bakery full of deliciousness. Plenty of canned goods, and milk products. Freezer section is average but again well priced. They do sell beer (local, domestic, international) here at a good price so that's always a plus. There are surprisingly a lot of wine choices Too. There is some baby products and bathroom isles. You can't pay with a credit card but otherwise it's a great deal. They have weekly deals which are awesome. I haven't found a fault yet here. read more

They have a huge selection (more than Wal-Mart because they don't have the useless crap I don't need) speedy checkout and you can use paper or plastic bags. Just wasted an hour in Winco only to be told that they don't take credit. Asked of they had an atm machine. They told me yes. I asked where it was, the girl pointed in the direction of an atm with an out of order sign on it. So, I tried using my debit card. It was declined. I pulled up my bank app. There was plenty of money in my account. Went across the street to wal mart and used the same card with ease. Thanks for wasting my time, Winco. read more
