I shop here weekly at the summer location. Very taken back by the short male behind the customer service desk a little over a week ago. Very rude and interrupted me while I was trying to explain my concern. Normally everyone is nice except this person which ruins it for me for the whole store. Then I find out that they are now ringing people up back to back so your bagging your groceries 12 inches from another persons face! I was told people were complaining about having to wait. Then go somewhere else! Oh wait winco wants to please them before the people who are trying to be safe. I know we're I stand now. So this past week was there again and the same short male was in the grocery section. I noticed him a few times and he was always projecting a pissed off attitude. This place is incredible. I wish we had one in California! I was amazed at the variety of the products that they carry here and how everything was at a fraction of the price that you would find anywhere else (no more Fred Meyer for me!). Whatever you need on your shopping list, they have it. I was like a kid in a candy store in their bulk food section, any nut you could imagine, they carry here. Love this store but beware of bad meats! Make sure you ask the deli for the freshest available. The carne Asada has been great 2 out of 3 times. Sometimes doesn't smell like carne Asada :/... I'm not sure the cereals and dry foods in self serve section get changed often enough. I never have heartburn but for some reason their granola doesn't Sit well with me 3 out of 5 times. read more

When I first started going to this Winco, it was a bit iffy. They have really improved the store over the past year or so. It's much cleaner and the produce is much fresher. I like that I can bag my own groceries in paper bags. The bulk bins have been a huge money saver. My only complaint is that the checkout lines can be a bit long sometimes. read more

Im surprised on my first visit. It was way far different compared to the one in Federal Way. Well products are the same but! The cleanliness of the store, wow! And so organized! Planning in doing my errands here now which is closer to my home rather than going to Fed Way. read more

Good to sometimes substantial savings over the big box grocery chains. Selection and freshness is also very comparable as well. They do sometimes run out of certain items over the weekend, but that's probably pretty typical in any busy grocery store. read more

3 stars because the produce we get from this location is sometimes 'iffy' and because they haven't built one in Auburn yet (hint, hint)! We live across less than a block from Albertsons, but we travel to Sumner just to shop at Winco: great prices, good selection, store is easy to navigate, love the bulk food section and the honey, great coffee (this is tantamount!), love the checkout. By far, Winco is the best of the supermarket chains! read more

Despite what a lot of people say about Wincos in general, this place is awesome. The meat department is always clean with a better selection than other stores in the area. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The prices cannot be beat. Once I started shopping here I cut at least 20% off of my weekly grocery bill. read more

This place always keeps me coming back. The product is on abundance as well as the cleanliness of the facility. My fiance and I have never seen such good employees constantly filling and refilling all products with fresh veggies etc. The staff is all very nice especially the produce guys they are so nice and helpful when I can't reach something. FIVE STARS! Yes. WinCo Foods is open 24 hours a day which is great. I don't know of any other grocery store that is open all day. The are so many bargains to explore here. Deals that you wouldn't believe. a 12 pack of Shasta Cola (which tastes just like Coca Cola) is like $2.50! I actually couldn't decide whether to give WinCo four or five stars but because I shop there so much I had to give it five. A lot of the employees go to Sumner High School and I think that's great. It does seem like a lot of the product is all mixed up and in strange places but that's just from my perspective. I love WinCo and it's a great place if your trying to go easy on your wallet. read more

We have been frequent shoppers at the Bonney Lake WINCO for several years. There are three reasons each of equal value as to why we shop there. One is price, another is large selection and the third is LIZA the courtesy clerk that works in the self-scan section. She is super friendly, courteous, upbeat and always helpful. Unfortunately there are relatively few other employees as courteous and helpful. In doing this review I would be remiss in not mentioning the very nice lady whose name escapes me but works as a checker and has a toy pig in her area that you can squeeze which makes a pig like noise and brightens your day. And then there are several very nice ladies in the bakery department that always go out of their way to ask if they might be of assistance. The produce guys are about as rude as they can be and give you the impression that they hate their job but perhaps not as much as their dislike for the customers. They may or may not be related to the very rude, give a care less, gum chewing young lady that works at the self-scan on the weekends. And then there are a couple of nice ladies in the fish/meat department that unfortunately can't tell you how to prepare a specific seafood item as they don't eat fish! The manager of the store if there is one and we seriously doubt there is as we have never seen one, should consider hiring a couple of more folks to work in this department as the very nice ladies are so busy slicing lunch meats they seldom have time to work the counter. What had been a great store and fun shopping experience is now a total travesty. If there was ever a case for the tv show Undercover Boss, the folks at WINCO Corporate should make an unannounced visit and continue to do so until the local management can get their act together. read more

I'm reviewing the produce department. The produce at the Sumner WA Winco is about the worst I have seen in my 61 years of world travel. Four days ago I bought a package of celery and when I got home and examined it, it was decomposing in the package with large 1" dia black portions of rot on the stalks. I believe in its effort to be the low price leader, someone in management decided to only buy the lowest price produce with little to no consideration as to how palatable it may be. That would account for the HUGE percentage of melons they have that were picked weeks too soon and therefore will never get any sweeter and are hard and nasty. I do have one criticism of the non-produce sections and that is the horrid pizza crust on their take and bake pizza. I made the mistake of buying one and had to discard the entire thing because the crust had the consistency and all of the flavor of cardboard. Get your produce and pizza elsewhere. Other that those two criticisms, the store is good. read more

Winco is fine. You have to be selective about meats. Be willing to use produce quick because it will go bad. Make sure to keep an ear out for recalls. read more

My family and I tend to shop here if we are in the Sumner area as it seems to be cleaner than the one on 176th on South Hill. They also carry some items I have not seen at the one on 176th (especially specialty items that are gluten-free). read more

Agree that produce is sometimes iffy, however cannot beat prices and this store is much less busy than other winco locations :)

So this is a four star review. why five stars you ask? Because every other Winco in the area has four stars, and are creepy compared to this one. Typical Winco...good prices, poor produce for some things. What makes this one different? The town(s) that patronize it. Sumner, Bonney Lake, Orting, etc....not creepy towns. Other places like Tacoma, Kent, etc....creepy, or at least a fair number of creepy parts. read more
