5/13/26: stopped in to check out some local wine after visiting Sol Duc Falls. Not only were we treated to good wine, but we enjoyed some local talent (Johnny) playing guitar & singing (yes, we sang along a bit; no, we were not tipsy :-) ). Washington's wines, or at least this region's, lean toward the dry side. Wind Rose did have a moscato they identified as sweet but I would say semi-sweet. It was still good! The appetizers we enjoyed were the meat & cheese plate, baked brie w/ sour cherry, and the olive tapenade & hummus plate. All very tasty. We stopped here after the First Friday Art Walk. It did not disappoint. Busy, but we were able to snag a table in the bar area. Live music was great. Wine was good. We ordered the salmon spread. It was so good. We look forward to ordering it again and again. We also ordered the meat and cheese plate. It was also delicious. read more

Wines were good, but we will not go back because of the attitude of the owner/winemaker. Pours were very small and his response was that we "got a glass of wine for our five pours". Then since we were purchasing six bottles, we asked if the tasting fees would be waived and he said "no, they never waive the tasting fee", contrary to what is common in most of the tasting rooms we have ever visited. At that point we should have told him we would not be purchasing the wines but we were too taken aback by his response. read more

My girlfriend and I highly enjoyed our experience here. We came on Saturday during their happy hour and the place was quite full probably due to the live mucus.but we managed to find a place at the bar. The ladies serving us were very friendly and helpful. We knew close to nothing about wine but they were great in providing suggestions and we ended up ordering a flight of white and red wines along with their small plates of salmon dip, anti pasta, and quesadillas. The wine flight is presented on top of these bookmarks which describe the wine, what they pair best with, and other random facts. We found it extremely helpful to help remember what we liked in the future. Whites we ordered the Pinot Grigio, Bravo Bianco, and Muscato. The Bravo Bianco was the most light and crisp of the three with the Pinot Grigio being in between the three wine choices and the Muscato being the sweetest wine I've had. I would borderline describe it as a fine juice. Personally I would prefer the Muscato if I was in a more sweet mood and would have the Bravo Bianco as my main wine choice. To me all reds taste the same so I won't comment on their selection. The salmon dip was amazing, generous on the salmon with a larger than expected portion. I loved the antipasta quality of meat. My girlfriend and I both agreed however that the quesadilla would be the weakest choice of the three, not because it was bad, but more so because the other two small plates were so good. In all fairness, it probably wasn't the wisest choice ordering a Mexican dish from an Italian styled establishment. We loved the place and will definitely be back if we find ourselves in the area! read more

I have to say I was disappointed in this winery. We did a white wine tasting; everything is in stainless steal so no variety, and they were flat like they were opened on Thursday and poured on Saturday when we visited. The person there said he was the one making the wine but did not want to talk about the wine, there were no tasting notes and he poured them quickly as if to get us out. I love local wineries and bring people visiting to them but this one I will be skipping and not recommending to anyone. read more

My husband and I were passing through Sequim over Thanksgiving and stumbled upon this wine tasting room. We had a wonderful tasting experience and can't say enough as to how friendly everyone was. From the manager, our server, to the patrons it was all around a lovely little spot on our trip. As for the wine, we usually don't prefer Italian style wine but we ended up liking it so much we bought 2 bottles! The Chardonnay and Bravo Rosso were standouts, however we enjoyed all the wine in the tasting. The cheeseboard was also well done with quality products. read more

ZERO STARS is not an option: DO NOT EVER go to Wind Rose Cellars!! I went in Friday evening (5:30) with my family (yes, kids too) to purchase wine, glasses, chocolates, and a gift card to put in a gift basket and promote local business. The owner was overwhelmed, (with 3 tables present, the rest of the place had reserved signs and empty) short with me and didn't have time for my purchase. I said I understood and heard him loud and clear... which he then continued to be rude. We left, my husband and I in shock. We discussed this incident and decided to return everything and to pick a different local business to highlight and support. I go back the next day with 2 of my children (as we were on our way to see a movie) to return all the items at a time when they weren't busy (he made it very clear that the evenings were too much for him). I made the mistake of not bringing my husband with me. He refused to refund my purchase and began yelling at me in front of my children. He eventually did refund my purchase by writing a check which meant I was stuck there until the whole thing was over... all while continuing to yell at me. The vitriol coming out of his mouth was astonishing. For example making fun of me for being a working mother..... you name it. I am still in utter disbelief and shock about what happened. My children have never seen anyone behave this way or treat me this way. My children left in tears and so did I. I wouldn't have gone in with them had I known the owner would behave this way!! I posted about this incident on a local FB page and am appalled at how many other women are coming forward with statements about this guy. How can he do business this way?! Just wow!!! read more

Thanks to Yelp, I found this place. If I didn't have Yelp I would have never found this gem. We were greeted by the vintner himself. What a treat! He explained the wines and we also had the Greek plate to compliment our tasting. We had the white tasting and the red/white tasting. Loved them all! Cute wine bar and tasting room right in the heart of Sequim, across from Hurricane Coffee. Their wines are made from vineyards throughout Eastern Eashington. Place was packed w/ some 50 people for the Release of Railroad Bridge Red, celebrating 100 years of the Dungeness River Railroad Bridge. A very tasty blend - $20/bottle, and $3 is donated to the Dungeness River Audibon Center. The Malbec is very good, too, and just $6 on happy hour. Check it out! read more

I remember going to this place when the previous owner had it... I always felt like it was more of the "owners hangout spot, where random customers might stumble in.." It is not that way anymore. That previous feeling is probably the reason the business didn't make it on Washington Street, and I hope the new and improved does great! My experience was positive. The staff was immediately attentive to the reason you come a a place like this, THE WINE! They have a great selection, but as with any wine shop, be prepared to pay. You do not usually find "bargains" in this type of location unless you are shopping at the higher end of the spectrum. We will happily be back, and I look forward to menu expansion as well! read more

What a gem! Meticulously crafted wines made locally with Washington grapes, nestled in a hip and comfortable tasting room/bistro/wine bar setting. The staff are really knowledgeable and welcoming, they eagerly teach visitors about their wines and are great resources for cuisine and other wineries/cideries and craft breweries in the area. Did I mention there is Cider, beer and kombucha on draft too? Not just wine! I love that they support other local producers! The food is good too, mostly tapas style plates with a couple salads and entrees. Everything is designed to accompany the wine, which is really nice. Wine education seems to be a passion of the wine maker and staff. They spend a lot of time discussing the history and process of wine making and it is interesting to neophytes as well as seasoned wine lovers. Good conversation and social experiences are guaranteed at Wind Rose! They have an awesome happy hour as well - 4-6pm everyday and it's the best time to go because it isn't super busy and the prices are super approachable. My husband and I stopped in after the attending the art show at the Blue Hole Gallery. I ordered a glass of Red Railroad Bridge. I was pleasantly surprised. They had a lot of choices so, I decided to try the Malbec. A great choice too. The atmosphere was pleasant as well as the people watching. This was a great spot to have a little pre-dinner wine! Very cute, well-styled space and comfortable seating. We each got a wine flight (white for me, red for him) and traded sips. The flights included three 2 oz. pours, and you can choose which wines you'd like to taste. Everything we had was good and interesting in its own way. Great little wine bar in downtown Sequim. The Dolcetto is delicious! It's dark, cozy and friendly. A perfect date night spot or place to meet the ladies after shopping. There aren't any big portion type meals here, but every plate they offer is tasty. And they have beer on tap, too! BEST Italian blend wines in all of Puget Sound!!! David has found a wine bar nitch in Sequim. We have been fond of his wine since he was located in a small alley shop where we'd bike to & sip his great wines on his patio with our Labrador. His new location on the main strip in Sequim offers a great venue with added appetizers, lite bites. We found this great wine bar on a recommendation from a local. The wine was great and so was the food. My husband has celiac and we were thrilled to find a place with gluten free options. I recommend the moscato (perfect, not too sweet) or barbera (a lovely red). Cheese plate and dates were excellent. Local art on the walls gives this spot a fun vibe and there was great live music the night we were there. read more
