    Wine tasting flight for two
    Autumn d.

We stopped in at the Port Townsend Vineyards tasting room. The tasting room is located right when you enter Port Townsend. There is lots of outdoor seating with heat lamps, as well as one table with a fire in the middle. There is a covered outdoor seating area and uncovered picnic table area. Lots of space for kids to run around with a small playgrounds and some toys. There is also some outdoor games. The inside has limited seating. With a few tables and some bar seating. Inside you order your flight/wine and snacks. Snacks are a la carte with selections of cheese, meat, and crackers (even gluten free crackers!). We ordered two of their standard flights, $15 each. Tasting fee waived if you buy a bottle per person. The flight consisted of a Columbia Valley White, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and a Cabernet Sauvignon. Our favorite was the cab. The flight comes with a booklet to explain where the grapes are from, the tasting notes, and notes from the winemaker. The wine steward was friendly and helpful. He was pretty hands off as he got quite busy as we sat down. He did check in and asked if we had questions or needed anything. This is a great spot in Port Townsend to relax and grab a glass of wine or try some new wines! Looks like a beautiful spot to have a wedding.

SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: 5 DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 5 NOISE LEVEL: 5 MENU SELECTION: 3 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 4.71 While visiting port Townsend, we decided to try this vineyard. The reviews were great, and our family also had a lot of great things to say about it. When we first arrived we were shocked at the beauty. Very rustic style barn, and a beautiful outdoor seating area. Lots of outdoor activities for anyone who has kids. Place has beautiful flower arrangements all over the place. Definitely the spot for anyone who is needing to sit back and relax. They had a staff of one, but the woman at the counter was super friendly and helpful. The Cabernet she recommended was superb. It was so good that we ordered a cheese plate and I wound up buying two bottles. Their menu selection is rather small, but from what I gather, everything is superb. Overall, this place was above and beyond. Was one of many highlights, and delights of our Port Townsend vacation. So good that I have started the process of getting into their wine club.

Good wines to try out in a nice atmosphere. Cozy and warm decor inside and breezy and open with nice jazzy music outside

This is a really great place to have some some wine. It's a very large property with ample parking. Lots of covered seats on the patio and a large lawn area with more seating on a nice day. Very kid friendly (even some games and large open area in the lawn) and dog friendly! We were here during the summer with a group of friends and our dog. We each did a tasting and then decided to share a bottle. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time. The wine was pretty good and wasn't expecting to find any wineries in Port Townsend while visiting. This place was a pleasant surprise!

We stopped in for a tasting this weekend and found it to be a pretty busy place for visiting groups and locals to relax. The tasting room has a beautiful long white bar with seating along with a few tables along the inside windows. Even though it was a chilly day out, there was outdoor seating with a firepit that was pleasant. They had a few different tasting options where you could stay with whites, reds, or mix it up. We decided to try all 9 for $17. While I'm not a crazy fan of whites, my counterparts agreed there were some good ones and that the rose was exceptional. Among the reds, the blend was my favorite. Overall we enjoyed the atmosphere and tastings and felt the individual pouring for us was friendly and attentive.

I have past Pt Townsend Vineyards a couple of times, and this past weekend we finally swung in to check it out and were not disappointed! After parking, we walked past a BBQ food truck that looked so tempting! But we had dinner plans afterwards so we opted to skip food when we were there. After checking out the wine list, we opted for the rose and white wine by the glass. After we got our wine, I asked the girl who helped us (I think her name might have been Casey?) about wedding venue potential for the winery and she said they didn't really do weddings, more rehearsal dinners, they'll rent out the side room, but she was so informative about the other places around the area that did host weddings! She mentioned she was a wedding planner prior and gave us a list of other wineries and spots where they had the capacity for a wedding. So helpful! We enjoyed our glasses of wine on the outdoor cover patio while we listened to a live band. The grassy area looked so welcoming, but there were no open tables at the time. Overall we had a great experience here and relaxed with a glass of wine to wrap up our day in Pt Townsend!

Covid-19 Review My friends and I came here during a mini vacation weekend out to Port Townsend and my friend found this spot on Yelp. It had good reviews and we had just previously visited another location for cider and wine tasting, so this was our second stop. Port Townsend Vineyards must be fairly new or they must have had a nice remodel. Due to the pandemic, all the indoor facilities was not open to the public, so as you enter, there's a mini tent set up for you to look at the menu and order. All the employees are masked up and all the customers were as well. Instead of doing wine tastings, they were selling bottles of red and white wine instead in addition to light bites. This was no problem for us since we were a party of 5, which was the max. The cashier at the front was really helpful in assisting us with choosing a bottle. We ended up with a bottle of their Sangiovese. Just to let you know, if you don't bring you're own glassware, you can purchase stemless wine glasses for $3 each and you can take them home. Once we ordered our bottle and glasses, they directed us to the open outdoor seating. I loved their setup! It was a large open area with tables properly separated apart with plenty of social distancing being practiced. There were also colored place cards that signified which tables were sanitized and clean and we can occupy and which ones were not available. This made my party and I feel very safe. As for food, you're allowed to bring in food from outside, so we got sandwiches from a nearby restaurant and enjoyed our Sangiovese and lunch without having to rush. Also, dogs are allowed at your table. Port Townsend Vineyards is a very safe spot for you to enjoy a bottle of wine with your friends or significant other. During these times, safety and cleanliness is a big priority and this place met all our expectations. I loved the Sangiovese bottle so much, I ended up buying a bottle myself. If you're looking for a place in Port Townsend to relax outside, come visit here!

The wine is fine, c'mon and join us!

We've always loved Port Townsend, and keep going back. We were excited to see this new winery pop up just outside of town. Nicely done venue! Great bar, lots of outdoor space for mild season activities, corn hole and other games available. Nice space for private parties, and the employees are always friendly and engaging. Vinophile? Their wines are solid and decent, but not exceptional. I enjoy them for what they are, and it has become a regular stop for us whenever we are in the area. One cool thing is that you can buy empty wine bottles with reusable stoppers, and have them filled up (with limited but good selection) from taps for a very reasonable price. This is a do-not-miss if you are in the Port Townsend area, and enjoy wine.

I noted this tasting room was close and could satisfy the cravings of both the cider loving husbands and their wino wives, so off we headed. It's a small little tasting room with a bar and some outside seating. We walked in on Saturday around 3 and there was noone in the tasting room or at the bar. We waited about 15 minutes before two people came in from the side door and were rather unfriendly in asking us what we wanted. We were a bit put off but already there so we tried a cider and wine tasting. Our cider loving husbands were fans of the raspberry cider but neither of us cared for any of the red wine we sampled. The pourer was saying she takes them home as cooking wine, but a wine that's only good for cooking with wasn't exactly what we were looking for. The tastings were reasonably priced and apparently the raspberry cider was memorable, but other than that it was a bit average overall.

My wife and I each had two ciders, a mead, and a wine. The ciders were the best of their offerings, and I particularly liked their berry and hot pepper blend. The mead was, frankly, quite disappointing. The wine was just okay. We did have a little sticker shock: the four tastings were served in shot glasses (at most half full) for $15 pp.
