But the space is also very well kept and designed, with the garden tasting area like a fantasy space with the lights and flowers. I can see this place being busy on weekends, I was lucky to go on a weekday and just as they opened at 2 p.m. If you're a big group you can make reservations.

Also have small snacks available if you want something to eat along with the wine. The staff and owners are friendly, gracious and welcoming and put a lot of effort into making the place special. She loved the wines at HHC, which is honorable, but not incredibly helpful. All the wines available for the tastings this Sunday were ok, but their big reds were not part of it. She said they weren't able to open any for tasting since the weekend was over, which is too bad. Other wineries like Wedge Mountain do this same thing, which I fail to understand. We stated we like big reds and are members of two other wineries on the island. Seems to me worth taking a chance on a customer that makes a jaunt a couple times a year and spends money on club wines, expressing a desire for what the winery has dubbed their flagship offerings. The pods and outdoor heaters are very nice, the grounds are attractive, we just didn't care for the lighter reds, blends, and whites we were offered. We did buy a bottle of one decent blend at full price, and they didn't comp or reduce the price of even one tasting. Fine, if that's the policy, but it won't bring us back.

The room we were in was spacious and had plenty of storage and open area. The custom bed frames and headboards really added to the spacious room feel. The common kitchen area is well set up, and the common reading/living room is inviting. We had a view that looked across to Clinton and south Everett. We understood there was a simple breakfast, but wow! We got homemade granola with yogurt and toasted homemade apricot/walnut bread with an apple/pear/fig side salad. We were having battery problems with our vehicle - requiring an overnight battery charge, and finally a jump-start. They were very helpful and made sure we got jumped so we could get over to Les Schwab and get a new battery. This place is our best place to stay in the area! We will go out of our way to get here.

You can buy a flight of mead concoctions to taste and the buy a bottle or two of your favorite. You can sit inside the Meadery with all that lovely mead (open Friday to Sunday) or take a drink on the lawn overlooking a small orchard, The store is open more often (Wednesday to Sunday) and is located across the parking from the Meadery near a colorful lavender field. I was expecting to be approached at any moment by someone wanting to engage me in a sale, but the owner was so cool just politely telling us to please look around and ask any questions if we have them. I really loved how low stress and good vibes this shop was as I spent a good 10-15 minutes just browsing how beautiful this shop was and orienting myself to everything in there. Thanks to Joe's website, we walked in with a list of stuff were looking for. Eventually because there was so much in there, eventually we just asked him to help us find the stuff on our list. He was so cool patiently taking us through the sections of his store we were interested in and helping us to find the different things on our list.
