Can a wheelchair get into this ADA room?

I rented one of very few rooms that allow animals in Bandon. I also reserved an ADA room. I arrived January 19,2026 for a 2 night stay. The room was pricey but I had stayed 10 years ago and it was a great view with easy beach access for myself and the dogs. Once in the room it's pretty obvious this is NOT an ADA room. They had a roll under sink and some hand rails in the bathroom. However throwing a shower chair in the corner does not make this ADA accessible!! There is no way to possibility get a wheelchair in the 2x2 shower that has a lip. There is a shower wand but NO floor drain to use it outside the shower. There are federal rules to be able to call a room ADA accessible and this truly isn't and you should be ashamed calling it one. The room was extremely dirty and I used Clorox wipes on all fixtures and in the bathroom. There was nasty old carpet that spelled of dog piss. If this is a room for pets remove the filthy carpet! The bedding was clean and ample. The fridge played this scary growing sound every 20 minutes all night All in all I'm hesitant to stay here again. Do better please! 2 stars because of the access. We also had a dirty, broken seal on the window. We could not see anything. Again do better!

This place was beautiful and perfect for all 3 of us. We got to have our own beds. The view of the ocean was beautiful. It was so nice hearing thr waves. We stayed in 12 one night, then two days later when coming back through we stayed in 14. It was 20 dollars more a night but totally worth it. We found out the next day they had board games you could borrow. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

Hubby was looking for a place for us to stay while visiting Bandon, for my birthday, because of what he read online, from another travel site. ALL the hotels has views. Charming old cottage, update with all the modern conveniences, very comfortable, everything you need to prepare a simple meal (salt & pepper included), great view, a long step down to the ocean (don't go at night, those steps - no lights), friendly service in the office. Hot coffee or cocoa in the morning, cellophane wrapped muffins. Away from traffic noise, hardly hear the ocean roar. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The bottom section has the shrubs, Scotland Pine, blooming currently in beautiful yellow. Beautiful landscaped with rock borders, awesome! Easy access back to Old Town. Everything is petite, if I'm single and lives here, perfect for me! There's a frosted tiny window, where you can view the ocean, while using the toilet! Negative: There's electrical plug in the bathroom, in front of the toilet, behind a door, but it's floor-level. Not very convenient for my power wash toothbrush/floss. I used the kitchen sink! It took us a while to get the TV going, but once we got it, we were stuck (and it's OK, watching the Learning Channel). At first, the section that divides the living room/bathroom floor, sinks up/down. By the 2nd day, we got used to it.

Wanted something on the water and this is it. Great view, sound of the waves, we had a nice deck to watch to sunset. House keeper not the best, used soap bathroom sink and trash can full but with those exceptions it was great...

Charging station for electric vehicles in front of the office.

Not my first time staying here, but this was my first time in the weird little room right above the office. It was adorable and a wonderful experience with a balcony, fantastic view, and kitchenette. The head of the bed seemed slightly angled downward, but was comfy otherwise. The shower is quite tiny but the showerhead is pretty high up for tall people. The water is also very soft so be careful to use less soap than usual. Other than those things, our stay was AWESOME. We didn't expect a full set of kitchen dishes and a toaster. The kitchenette is pretty complete except no stove. I was also surprised to find an EV charging station in from of the hotel office. We really enjoyed our stay and will continue returning to Windermere when we need a place to stay near Bandon! I'll probably ask about the weird little room above the office again as it was more adorable and quiet than the others, with a convenient path to the beach.

We just stayed at Windermere for the first time and it was amazing! The room has a direct view of the beach and the beautiful sunsets. There is a short path directly to the beach too. The room was spotless and was stocked with all the amenities. Michael at the front desk was so nice and very helpful, we are most definitely coming back on a regular basis! While there, we also visited Shore Acres, Face Rock, Coquille River Lighthouse, Cape Arago, and Sunset Bay State Park. All are located by the hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND WINDERMERE ON THE BEACH!

Super amazing views! All rooms have a view! A quick two minute walk to beach. My biggest positive is this getaway was affordable! $235 for the weekend!! Can you say, "Score" Kitchenette with full service for 4; stove/oven/microwave/toaster/coffee maker. Hotel staff were pleasant and inviting. Lobby has games, coffee/tea and pastries in the morning. Bedding was clean, room was clean, parking was plenty. Only thing that was not the best was the small bathroom. It's super tight! Toilet small and barely off the ground. But, I can live with that; other maybe not so much. A quick four to five minute drive to the pier and there is plenty of eating. We found that many places close early.

Absolutely loved this Cozy hotel! We will be back soon! Nothing like a fireplace in your room while listening to the ocean! Beach access right there and they even provide a hose and faucet to rinse the sand off your shoes! And spectacular views from the balcony.

The room seemed pretty clean though the front desk staff didn't wear masks. Fast and easy checkin. Definitely an older building with older furniture. Beds weren't super comfortable but I've slept on worse. The view was fantastic and there is beach access right at the hotel though they didn't say anything about it and we didn't find it until the morning we were leaving. Great location. Housekeeping staff was helpful, respectful, and nice. Lots of blankets and the heater works great which was nice for the 40 degree nights.

View from room 19. It doesn't suck.

very overpriced for the accommodations, old worn out mattresses, terrible florescent lights, dog poop and smell in grass areas.

Cool, quiet place. Book early to get room that opens to beach. A really nice spot for a throwback vacation.

I was surprised by how much i loved it, because to look at the thumbnail on Booking.com, it didn't look too attractive, and at first, i skipped past it. Bandon isn't a big place though, an the price was right for The Bandon Inn, so i booked a room. Obviously being on the coast, it has a strong coastal theme in the lobby, which is very cosily appointed, and welcoming. The check in was smooth, and the lady very helpful. The one thing i was not such a fan of was the continental breakfast (i never like any of the options, yogurt, pastries, fruit, cereal, hard-boiled egg - no thank you) And not only didn't i like anything available in this continental breakfast, we were handed a sheet of paper, and asked to say what time we would be coming to breakfast, AND pre-order which items you'd like. For a start, I'm on vacation, so I'm not setting any alarms, and as i said, I'm not into that sort of thing, so i asked her where I could get PROPER breakfast, and she gave multiple options that were available. She was very helpful. We were directed to our room, which was in an outside long building, and you went down some concrete steps, and into the room. I was instantly charmed by the room. We had a balcony!!! With a panoramic coastal view. This is because the long buildings are set above the town, on coastal bluffs. Beautiful. And 2 armchairs and a side table next to the balcony window so you could look out over the town below, and the sweeping coastline. A really nice room, and an affordable price. The temperature of the room was cool and perfect (highly important to me, as i get too hot very easily) I didn't need to put the air conditioning on, as it was already exactly cool enough for me. There's a pathway down to the town below if you don't want to drive there, but we didn't notice it until after we came back from breakfast. It's a very clean hotel. Excellent views, and if you like continental breakfast, you'd give this 5 stars. As it is, it's my 2nd favourite of the 5 hotels, and I would have no hesitation in returning, as I was absolutely charmed by the town of Bandon

It's very well maintained and landscaped with lots of flower pots and greenery. Check in was quick and easy, and the desk clerk friendly. I got the "Tiny Tim" room which is well suited for the solo traveler; smaller than the other rooms on site, and is also a little cheaper. It was impeccably clean and featured standard amenities like a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. It also had a USB charging port on the bedside table, which I always appreciate. Both bed and bath linens were fresh and clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room is adorned with beautiful coastal photographs taken by the motel owners, who are apparently professional photographers. I'm fine with saving a little money and foregoing the expensive oceanfront or downtown motels. Bandon is so small that it's easy to get around. I didn't find the traffic from 101 to be too loud at all. There's also a little convenience store next door where you can get some snacks or drinks if needed. I would 100% stay here again.

Perfect location, as the Sea Star is in close proximity to everything downtown; the room was quiet, intimate, very clean, with a romantic beachy ambiance (seemed recently remodeled). The bed was extremely comfortable and free Wi-Fi was a bonus. There is a small, beautifully designed courtyard and beyond it is the back entrance to an amazing wine bar / restaurant (Alloro's). HOSTEL - Sea Star - U (unaffiliated) (not part of Hostelling Intl.)…read more I'm a frequent hosteler, and The Sea Star Hostel was one of my Oregon coastal favorites. My favorite room had a loft spot to sleep, and was private with a great view of the harbor. Kitchen and lounge areas were clean and I met some nice hostelers too. If you enjoy hosteling, this is a good one to visit. They also rent full guesthouse rooms, separately, with views, but I have only stayed at the hostel. Hosteling is very different from hotelling, and it is NOT for everyone, so I would rate this 3 or 4 stars for a hostel, but if you compare it to a regular hotel, i have no idea. Hostels are not camping, not bed and breakfasts, but nor are they hotels or motels, so I have no idea really how to rate them, except hostel to hostel. Hosteling is affordable, social and educational. Someday I'd love to own a hostel.
