My partner and I took my seven year old twin boys to the coast so we could spend a weekend out of town and visit the Wild Animal park in Bandon. I looked for hotels that were inexpensive, but good, in the area and had a choice of several. After seeing the pictures of the rooms, I made a reservation for the Table Top Motel. I made an error though; after I checked my email to confirm my reservation, I saw that I had reserved for the wrong day. I immediately called the motel to see what could be done. I left a message and within a half hour or so, I got a call back from a very nice woman, who understood my situation completely and fixed the situation immediately. I wasn't able to get the same room I booked, however I was able to get a similar one, for the same price, and the same amenities. In a lot of ways, I came to found out, I think I got a better room. We stayed in Room 2. This is still the COVID-19 pandemic era and so we had a contact-less check in. When we arrived, we were so pleased to see that we were right on the cliff near Table Rock...to get to a path down to the beach we only had to walk across the motel parking lot and down a path. It was right there! Our room itself had a nice little front room, with a TV, table, couch, and coffee table, as well as a full size fridge. The kitchenette area had everything we would need; a microwave, range, oven, sink, and all the pots and pans and utensils, salt and pepper, coffee packets and filters; it was all there. The bathroom was small, but had everything we needed. The real allure to this room was the stairwell up to a loft area, with two beds (a full and a twin), and a little window that gave us a view of the ocean. My children stayed there. My partner and I stayed in the bedroom downstairs, which was just off the living room area and was just large enough to accommodate the queen sized bed, which honestly was all we needed. When we arrived, we dumped our stuff and opened all the windows, letting in the sea air and giving us the chance to listen to the surf. Then we were on the beach within five minutes. Later, we came back and watched a Blu-Ray and ate dinner together. The next morning, we made some breakfast with everything made available. This was really the perfect place for us this weekend. It was cozy, had character, was beautifully decorated. Everything we needed for the weekend was present and our only regret is that we didn't plan out several days to stay here. My kids were still raving about how much they loved our trip and my partner, who's spent a lot of time on the southern Oregon coast, declared that this might have been the best place she's stayed in the area. This really was an amazing weekend for us and the Table Rock Motel was a large part of our overall comfort and enjoyment. My whole family agrees: this is our Southern Oregon Coast hotel from now until we buy our own place there, and we're already planning our return trip this upcoming holiday season. read more

The room was new and thoughtfully laid out and equipped. Useful implements in the tiny kitchen, space in bathroom, even makeup wipes. Only down side was no windows opened, only the front and back door, making breezes a challenge w no air conditioning. And management needs to hear how loudly the upper floor occupants sound with the slightest step. I believe insulation is an issue. There were no side tables by couch to set phone, drinks. I booked a room through Booking.com one day in advance of my stay. Due to a major winter storm I was unable to make my trip and was CHARGED THE FULL AMOUNT because of the "seven day cancellation policy." Absolute nonsense. Total rip off. I was SCAMMED out of $130.00 at the Table Rock Motel... and I never even set foot on the property. Stay anywhere else. You have been warned. read more

This is the CLEANEST motel I have ever been in!! Here's the proof. My blind husband took a shower . . . . not seeing that the shower curtain was not inside the tub. When he came out, the floor was covered with water. I used a few towels to mop it up and they were sopping wet but PURE WHITE when I was done! Great location . . . .not fancy . . . . but very comfortable rooms. AND managing staff lent me a raincoat when I wanted to go for a walk in the rain! read more

I don't know where to begin, but this was the nicest impromptu stop on our coastal CA/Hwy 1 trip. We got into town quite late....probably almost midnight. Their vacancy sign was on, so we rang the bell. I think we woke the owner/manager up, and we felt bad about it. The life of an innkeeper must be tough sometimes! She told us she only had one room left (we didn't even ask the price, we just said: we'll take it!) I don't think her English was the best, but she handed us a piece of paper that welcomed us and told us to 1) sleep in as late as we needed to and 2) to come by the office tomorrow to pay. Awww. :) The room was gorgeous. It was really a suite with a kitchenette, half-fridge, stovetop, microwave and coffeemaker. It had a lovely, clean balcony. It had an Egyptian theme, but it was subtle. Themed hotels/inns often go overboard. There was definitely tasteful restraint there. The hotel is Oceanside and only 2 minutes/mere steps from the beach. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Nice homes and small inns. The invitation to sleep in was just what we needed. It was the only day we didn't feel the need to set an alarm, and so we both slept like the dead. The empathy behind that simple offer really touched us - thank you!!! The room ended up being approx $150, and we felt it was well worth it. We look forward to returning to both the Table Rock Inn and the town of Bandon....I give both my highest recommendation! read more

Stayed 3 nights in the full cabin suite duplex and for a couple of days the water in the shower never reached hot. Warm showers are ok. Not great but still ok. Went to check out and they asked how everything was. I told them it was ok. They asked what was wrong and I told them about the hot water. The lady at the counter was apologetic wanting to make it right. She stated that she would pass it along to the manager and see if they could do something to make it right and would call me. They never called. No follow up. I called a few days after and asked and they told me the manager went in and said the water was hot. I asked them if they thought I was lying by the way I was being talked to and they said no they don't think I was lying but the water was hot according to the manager. All in all for the amount of money I spent for 3 days I could have gotten a much better value. Airbnb would have cost the same amount (over $600) and had less hassle. Won't be staying here again. read more

What a fabulous property with super sweet staff. The Tablerock inn is situated near one of the most gorgeous beaches I have ever seen in my life! After the sun sets you see the most amazing colours and the beach is only a few meters from the property. We stayed in the Pirate room in the new building. Everything is super super clean and all brand new. The beds were amazing and they use super soft linnen. When we asked if we could check out half an hour later because of the soccer game (WK quarter finals), this was no problem at all.. Too bad we were only here for one night! :) read more

WEIRD. Seriously, the staff there is so profoundly *odd* that it honestly seems as though aliens abducted the real workers and replaced them with some bizarrely awkward experimental drones of some kind. Must be experienced to be believed! That being said, the room seemed fine. The one ding against the place was that the "themed" room I was staying in was a theme in name only: it was just like every other room, except with a few boards screwed into walls to tell you that it was somehow "special". But on the other hand, the price (at least now during winter) was great, and it's amazingly close to the beach for such a nice rate. read more

This place is a gem, with decent prices (under $100 per night), right next to the ocean. At check in, the front desk service was very friendly, which is always appreciated. She explained everything well, even where to find the path down to the beach. The path is, indeed, about a one minute walk from the hotel and then it's about two minutes down to one of the most picturesque beaches. The room is very clean, with comfortable beds and decent furnishings. There's also a nice small fridge and microwave, which is nice if you're like us and you always have a ton of snacks with you. There's also a cute balcony where you can take in the lovely ocean air and listen to the odd fog horn that blows every few seconds (haven't figured that one out yet). The bathroom is also very clean, with decent water pressure and hot water, always a must. Overall, we'll stay at this place again, as it's close to the beach, the cute little downtown area, crabbing docks, etc., and it's clean and quiet, with friendly service as well. It's hard to find a place with these qualities for under $100 per night, so we will be back! read more

Very comfortable room equipped with standard amenities. What made our stay outstanding? Anne at the front desk. She was so very helpful and accommodating. She graciously helped us out with a mistake we made in our reservations and went well beyond what other establishments might. She even called us right away to let us know we left an item in the room so we were able to turn back and get it. This turned out to be quite fortuitous since the fog that had rolled in lifted just as we returned and we decided to spend a few hours at the beach after all where saw tide pools, rock formations, and wave action. OK we stayed here twice. The first time we stayed in the anniversary suite and it was just phenomenal. Very clean ,very quiet and cozy. This is in the "" new wing. "Recently we stayed with them again. There was no availability in the new wing so we stayed in the older part of the motel. They did tell us this and that was not a problem at all. we stayed in the Marilyn Monroe cottage. Plus side was this was a very clean cottage. It was very sweet ,retro and charming. It was literally just a walk down a path to the beach! Our issue was That the linen was old And the rug was one of those cheap throw rugs that didn't stay put. It would not take much to just invest in a nice throw rug for when you first walk in and some fresh sheets and blankets. Just because it's an older part of the hotel does not mean that it needs to look or feel old. The headboard was pretty thrashed and the wood grain was worn off. Again wouldn't take much to either get a new headboard or Sand down and restain it. With that being said ,we will still stay here again. It's very reasonably priced and it is in a perfect little spot by the beach. read more

We are spending a few days in Bandon during the 4th of July weekend. A great community and we plan on returning. I am scratching my head about one common theme we are experiencing. Customer service. I own a service based business and NEVER get a bad review because of "attitude". The customer service is hit and miss in Bandon. Not here. Mike at the front desk is awesome. He has gone beyond excellence in service. The room is clean and comfortable. But Mike's customer service is outstanding. Thank you for delivering a memorable visit to Table Rock. I booked through Priceline and when I showed up no one was there. They had a sign on the front door saying they had staffing shortages and the front desk closes at 8pm. My friend I was traveling with tried to call the after hours number on the front door and no one answered although we heard the phone at the front desk ringing. I was forced to find another hotel in the area. I tried to a get a refund but they rejected the request saying I'm the only one that had this issue. Bad customer service and bad experience. After a long drive through the "Land of Giants" (the Redwoods), almost ditching the car over a cliff then the most depressing town in California (Eureka) we crossed into Oregon. Oh, Oregon! How nice not to pay tax on everything. I love your full service gas stations as if we all lived in 1973 or some alternate universe where things are right in the world. Mrs. Linke is a fantastic hostess with great stories to tell to those who know how to listen. The hotel is situated on a picturesque part of the coast with a cliff that overlooks a beach. Reminded me of some remade Japanese horror film but the view was great, the hotel was beautiful and clean and Mrs. Linke decorated each room herself. In our three week trip through the Northwest, this was by far the most friendly, clean and interesting place we stayed. Plus you can't beat the rates. read more

4 stars with a grain of salt. I am not comparing this to the best hotels ever. I am saying that for $60 a night, it was awesome. We stayed in the one-story motel part in one of the smallest rooms here. It was absolutely tiny, but also just as clean. I feel that cleanliness makes up for a lot. I was only very mildly skeezed out by the tiny and old shower, but I went in with flip flops and was all good (and I am super weird about hotel bathrooms). Otherwise, the bathroom was spotless. Everything is painted white in the room which just makes it clear that it is clean, clean, clean. Very cute functional flatscreen tv well thought out. I would go back. It was a great, fabulous location right next to the trail and stairway down to the beach. It was quiet and quaint. read more

Stayed 3 nights in a second floor room with 2 queen beds and a balcony in the "new" addition. Room was quiet and clean with comfortable beds. The motel is on Beach Loop Road, a beautiful location in Bandon with great access to the beach/ocean. During my visit the stairway railings of the "new" addition were being ground down to remove rust and corrosion before being repainted. The work was noisy and occurred on multiple days from 10 am - 5 pm, which was disruptive to being in the room or on the balcony during those hours. When I mentioned this to the desk staff, they responded by providing me with a gift certificate for a free night on my next visit, which I feel was very accommodating. This was my fourth or fifth stay at the Table Rock Motel (or one of their vacation rentals) over the past 15-20 years, usually with a large family group. I/we will definitely be back! read more

Such a lovely property close to one of the most gorgeous Oregon beaches! Our room was comfortable and we had a very good sleep. Best of all was the helpfulness and kindness of the owners who patiently helped us after our rental car died on us right after checkout. They asked neighbors for a jumper cable when the stupid Bandon AAA guy never showed up. Without their help, out trip might probably have been ruined! The Sandpiper Condo Vacation Rental is fantastic. Nice three bedroom three bathroom unit with a fabulous location. The deck maximizes the incredible view. See website for amenities. We were two couples. The only complaint we had was the kitchen knives - dull to the point of being dangerous. Lots of pressure required for any kind of cutting. But otherwise, a well stocked kitchen. Great location and the staff were terrific especially the cleaning ladies. We stayed in room 10 an older(1950 era) room that had a new toliet and 1990's style laminate flooring. The foundations seems to be failing so we had critters under our floor that kept us up all night. You can see the burrow holes under some of the rooms and the walls were below grade.It was a bit musty smelling and damp. I think the floor was bad it seemed spongy in the bathroom. I wouldn't mind paying more if they would put some money back into the place. read more

What a surprise! Very clean and friendly staff. This is close to the beach and close to the Coquille lighthouse. Be sure to pick up provisions before you arrive at the motel as there are no little stores or coffee nearby. They also don't provide breakfast. Stay here! Having stayed in plenty of hotels this was a real treat. Our road trip led us in to Bandon after dark without a reservation anywhere. We were so so pleased that the Table Rock Motel had 2 rooms available, one cottage room and one in the newly built hotel. The amazing customer service we'd encountered on the phone continued upon our arrival. We felt genuinely appreciated and welcomed. After they showed us the cottage room we didn't even want to see the newer one. It was absolutely lovely and perfectly described as "the guest room at grandma's house" Cozy, memorable, comfortable. clean and two steps from an amazing beach! On the outside it doesn't look like much, but this is a classic "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of place. The rooms are clean, cozy, and perfect for a business trip or a couples outing. A huge plus, they allow dogs. The rooms are reasonably priced, and the pet fee is next to nothing. The customer service was exceptional, we called after they were closed due to some unforeseen issues with our tent during a typical coastal rain storm, and decided to head to town. Doreen was amazing and got us all set up even though it was after hours and left the nicest notes in our room, including one for our dog. We travel a lot, and this is a perfect spot that we will be visiting again on our next trip down the coast. read more

I loved Lei, she was the sweetest lady! She explained everything to us, including the available accommodations, beach access, etc. The room was spotless. The beds were very clean and comfortable. Lei even let us take a peek at a couple rooms so we can pick which one we wanted! In the room, there was a microwave, a mini fridge, tea, coffee, wine glasses, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, and other goodies. We arrive there after an 81/2 hr drive to find they didn't have our reservation and that the room we were promised was already rented out! They offered an inferior room for $20+ more a night. I'm glad we viewed the room prior to taking it as it was dirty and food crumbs all over the table and stove. The staff in the office was nice, but it didn't compensate for the condition of the room they wanted to give us, nor the hassle of losing our reservation. We ended up at the Sunset Lodge, down the road with a much nicer view, room and cheaper rate. read more
